Jack's eyes flickered once more before falling unconscious. Justa carefully laid him on the bed, caressing his head to comfort him in his sleep.
"You did well," she mumbled, soothing his soul.
Those weren't empty words from Justa. As a mortal, Jack held on for much longer than most gods of their pantheon. She finally understood why Fortuna selected him and why the gods were afraid of him.
If he's unleashed on the goddesses, no god could satisfy the goddesses anymore.
The blank expression on Jenna's, no, Fortuna's face was the proof of that. Jenna was still slowly swallowing Jack's load, while most of it was leaking from her mouth and onto the bed.
Justa instinctively reached for it, wanting to taste the mortal's essence, but held back. She needed to think for a bit. But one thing was certain.
