Chapter 33 - New Costume

[Would you like to draw now?]

System!

Luceris's eyes lit up the moment she heard that familiar voice—the system, silent for so long, had finally stirred again.

And it came bearing gifts: a Dimensional Divine Equipment Draw and a brand-new Dungeon .

The sudden windfall caught her completely off guard.

As she descended from the sky, the scattering crystal petals vanished into the night. After so many battles, Luceris was now fully attuned to the inner space of the system. Weapons appeared and disappeared in her hands without the slightest delay, as if extensions of her very will.

Within the Domain, the battle had ended swiftly. Trapped, the goblins had no chance of escape.

Though the Goblin Chief held a high level, his strength was underwhelming. After taking two charged hits from Luceris, he was instantly cleaved into pieces by one of Galen Skylar's devastating skills.

As the altar's bonfire collapsed, flames licked the sky, devouring the goblin stronghold. The mission was complete.

[You have completed the quest: "Destroy the Goblin Stronghold and Defeat 50 Goblins."][You've received the reward: Goblin Chief's Staff.]

A soft glow descended, settling into her palm. The staff felt ancient—weathered and unimpressive. Luceris gave it only a cursory glance. It was nothing special.

Her focus was solely on the system's newest rewards.

After the battle, the trio found a clearing nearby, grilled some fresh game, and rested by the fire. Sparks cracked gently into the night air. The moon was high, stars scattered, and a quiet stream trickled nearby.

The moment felt almost like a peaceful camping trip.

Luceris savored this brief, calm respite in the heart of the dungeon.

[Would you like to draw now?]

The system prompted her again.

"Draw."

She commanded it silently.

The drawing process was neither flashy nor drawn out—it was immediate and instinctive.

A strange silence descended.

Just like last time, her consciousness was pulled by an invisible force. In a blink, she found herself in a surreal world—otherworldly and vast.

Towering ancient architecture stood atop endless mountains. At its center: a towering statue of a god, wreathed in haze and gentle drizzle.

But only for a moment.

Suddenly, a crack of violet lightning tore across the sky. The gentle rain turned torrential, washing away all mystique and uncertainty.

Beneath that heaven-splitting thunder...

Luceris felt her consciousness shrink to the size of dust, her soul no more than a speck beneath the weight of divine will.

From far above, atop the highest building, a silhouette emerged—distant, divine, looking down like a celestial being.

The will radiating from it felt eternal—majestic, lonely… even sorrowful.

Was that… General Raiden?

"The Tao is boundless; the gods, eternal!"

The words echoed across heaven and earth.

A blinding blade of light erupted—slicing the very fabric of space.

BOOM!

Luceris's soul was forcibly ejected.

When her mind cleared again, the system panel now displayed a new synthesis path:

[Dimensional Divine Equipment: Thunder Raiden Costume Unlocked!]

!!!

She hadn't even had time to react properly.

To think—her second divine draw had given her Raiden herself… one of the most sought-after figures of all!

It was unreal.

Excitement surged in her chest. She immediately wanted to begin collecting materials for synthesis.

As she examined the panel, she noticed two different paths: ThunderGeneral and RaidenShogun.

The distinction lay in their respective skill sets. It made sense—Raiden could become a Thunder General, but not all Thunder Generals were Raiden.

Regardless, the material requirements were steep. Synthesizing this gear wouldn't happen overnight.

But once she did—once she wielded all that divine might—her power would rise to terrifying heights.

That devastating sword…

Just recalling it sent a thrill through her.

"Momo, tell me the truth—who are you really?" Galen Skylar pointed at Luceris, grilled fish in hand, eyes narrowed playfully.

Celene Sirra, wide-eyed, chimed in enthusiastically. "Sister Luceris, that biu skill just now—soooo cool! What was that?!"

Seeing the girl puff her cheeks in mock outrage, Luceris couldn't help but pinch her cheeks with a grin. Celene was just too adorable—soft, squishy, like a plush toy come to life.

And, best of all, easy to fool.

With a few evasive words, Luceris turned to Galen and lied with a straight face, "I'm just a regular archer."

"Pfft. Nonsense," Galen huffed. But seeing Luceris's radiant smile, she sighed, defeated. "Fine, fine. Keep your secrets."

She tossed her the grilled fish.

Luceris smiled and took it, settling down quietly by the fire and gazing up at the night sky.

With each level gained, her magic deepened—and Alicia's inherent aura made her presence feel perfectly attuned to this world.

In the quiet dark, crystals of magical energy danced like fireflies, flitting, swirling, clustering joyfully around her.

In that moment…

Luceris became the center of a breathtaking world.

Her profile, bathed in warm light and touched with melancholy, stunned even her companions.

Galen and Celene forgot their food was burning.

They could only stare.

Beyond the dome, the world went quiet.

Even the online viewers, who had been furiously commenting just moments ago, fell into collective silence.

They simply watched.

Mesmerized.
