It felt like I was suddenly, completely sucked into a soundless, lightless void...
In the absolute center of this mirage of this nothingness was the raven, still perched silently on that same dead, black tree.
And me with it... Or, at least, what I assume to be me... I'm not really sure, but I know I was there with it.
My mouth was closed, yet every single thing my conscience uttered internally now echoed loudly, endlessly, throughout that vast, lightless hole.
I could still faintly feel my own back, soaked with cold sweat and cooled by the rough, hard wall I was resting against back in the real world.
I could still feel the sharpness of the freezing breeze pricking at my exposed skin.
But I also felt incredibly, impossibly far away from it all... So very far from it, so detached from the entire physical world.
