Chapter 22 - Transfer

Ultimately, the two parents compensated Yaeko 50,000 yen, since their children had been the first to attack. Daisuke also accepted the private settlement agreement signed by both sides. After saying goodbye to Teacher Yoshinaga and Teacher Ageo, he took the parents of the buzz-cut kid and the mushroom-headed kid to a nearby bank to transfer 500,000 yen to each of their accounts, then drove back to the office.

Seeing that everything was settled and the time was past one o'clock, Shizuka turned around and said to the two teachers in a gentle voice: "Teacher Ageo and Teacher Yoshinaga, I will take my two children home today."

Teacher Ageo was teasing Yuzuru in Yaeko's arms, turned around, and chuckled, "Okay." Teacher Yoshinaga nodded to indicate that there was no problem.

At this time, Tsuna helped Shoko who was lying on the bed to get up, turned his head to look at Teacher Yoshinaga, and said softly: "Teacher Yoshinaga, I want to transfer to the Sakura class."

Teacher Yoshinaga thought that Tsuna was afraid of returning to the class and being excluded by the children, so she comforted him in a gentle voice: "It's okay, Tsuna, I will explain to the children in the class."

Teacher Yoshinaga thought that Tsuna might be afraid of returning to class and being excluded by the other children, so she comforted him in a gentle voice: "It's okay, Tsuna. I'll explain everything to the class."

"Teacher Yoshinaga, you misunderstood. I want to transfer to the Sakura Class to be with Shoko. It's just too much trouble running back and forth all the time."

"Clap!..Clap!...." Shizuka stood to the side, clapping her hands in approval of Tsuna's decision. "Tsuna's idea is a good one." Then she turned to Teacher Ageo, who was sitting nearby, and asked, "Teacher Ageo, Tsuna will need to pay extra fees to transfer to the Sakura Class, right?"

After Tsuna's parents agreed, Teacher Yoshinaga let out a soft sigh and decided not to persuade him any further. As long as Tsuna—a good boy—was not leaving the kindergarten entirely, that was enough.

Teacher Ageo thought for a moment, then shared her thoughts with everyone. "I can't make that decision myself. I'll need to speak with Director Takakura to find out. However… since Tsuna doesn't need extra care or sign language support, there probably won't be any additional fees."

Shizuka smiled and nodded, then said to Teacher Ageo, "Alright. If you need anything, just give me a call."

With that, she took Yaeko by the arm, said goodbye to the two teachers, and left first.

Yaeko stopped at the door and turned back to Tsuna, who was carefully walking behind her, holding Shoko's hand. In a gentle voice, she said, "Tsuna, thank you for being so thoughtful toward Shoko."

Yaeko had remained silent since Tsuna announced his decision. She thought it was a good idea for Tsuna to move and accompany Shoko. Even if she had objected, Shizuka would have made the decision anyway.

Thinking of that, Yaeko let out a soft chuckle, prompting Shizuka, who was holding her hand, to turn and look at her in confusion. "Yaeko, why are you smiling like a fool at the kindergarten gate?" she asked.

Yaeko was about to say it was nothing while holding Yuzuru, but Shizuka suddenly said something shocking: "You're not attracted to the security guard at the kindergarten gate, are you?!"

Yaeko rolled her eyes at Shizuka but said nothing. She kept walking forward, holding Yuzuru in her arms. Shizuka knew she was overthinking, but she still tried to persuade her: "That security guard looks to be over fifty—you can't be thinking that way."

Yaeko didn't look at her this time, and chuckled perfunctorily: "Yes, yes..."

Tsuna, walking slowly with Shoko behind him, ignored the two people in front and asked her worriedly, "Shoko, does it still hurt to walk like this?"

Shoko thought that Tsuna was coming to the Sakura Class to keep her company, so she didn't mind the small pain. She turned her head, bared her teeth at Tsuna, and shook her head to show that she was fine.

That afternoon, Teacher Ageo called Shizuka Miyamura to inform her that Principal Takakura had approved the transfer and confirmed there would be no extra charge.

The next day, Tsuna confidently introduced himself from the podium in the Sakura Class to the hearing-impaired children. At first, everyone was a little confused, but soon they realized there was nothing unusual about it. Tsuna was there to accompany Shoko, and they couldn't help but envy such a loyal friend.

The buzz-cut boy and the mushroom-headed boy in the Sunflower Class noticed that all the other children had arrived early that morning, but Tsuna was nowhere to be seen. Loudly, they told everyone that Tsuna had been beaten up by them the day before. Just then, Teacher Yoshinaga entered the Sunflower Class and explained to everyone that Tsuna had transferred to another class.

During lunch break, Sato Masao told everyone about Tsuna's heroic feat of taking on two opponents one-on-one yesterday, making it clear to the buzz-cut boy and the mushroom-headed boy in the Sunflower Class that they were just full of hot air.

Time flies, and it's the first week of winter vacation in the blink of an eye.

Because Tsuna had promised Shoko yesterday that he would accompany her to the nearby park today, he showed up early in the morning at the door of Nishimiya's house and knocked on the wooden door: Dong... dong... dong!

Since he was too short to reach the doorbell, knocking was the only way he could get their attention.

"I'm coming." After a while, an old voice came from inside. Tsuna also stopped knocking.

The wooden door opened, and Nishimiya Ito saw no one standing in front of her. Looking down, she spotted Tsuna. Smiling kindly, she said, "Oh! It's Tsuna. Have you had breakfast? Grandma made buns today. Would you like to try some?"

Tsuna greeted the elderly woman before him, saying, "Good morning, Grandma Nishimiya." He waved his hand to decline, adding, "No, I've already had breakfast. I've come today to find Shoko so we can go to the park."

Nishimiya Ito nodded with a chuckle and stepped aside half a body to let Tsuna go in to find Shoko first, and she was going to close the door.

Tsuna walked to the entrance and took off his white shoes. He reached into the wooden shoe cabinet beside him, took out the slippers Yaeko had prepared, and slipped them on. Then he stepped onto the wooden corridor and headed toward the living room to look for Shoko.

Shoko, sitting on the tatami in the living room watching TV, noticed Tsuna and quickly stood up with excitement, eager for him to take her to the park. She couldn't wait any longer.

Tsuna noticed that all of Shoko's injuries had healed completely, leaving no scars. Gathering his thoughts, he took Shoko's hand and chuckled, "Have you eaten breakfast? You need to have breakfast before you go."

Shoko held Tsuna's hand and walked to the corridor, nodding to indicate that she had eaten.

"Let's go, Tsuna."

"Slow down, Shoko, the park is right there, it's not like it will disappear."

Tsuna first let go of Shoko's hand, walked into the living room, and said to Nishimiya Ito, who was sitting on a chair eating a bun, "Grandma Nishimiya, I'm going to take Shoko to the park first. You don't need to prepare lunch for her today. My mother said Shoko can eat at my house."

Nishimiya Ito shook her head helplessly but said nothing to stop him. She could only offer a gentle warning, "Tsuna, Shoko can be troublesome sometimes. Be careful on the road."

"Okay!" After that, Tsuna walked to the entrance with Shoko to change his shoes, opened the door, and walked out holding Shoko's hand.
