Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: It's My Turn To Take The Stage~

Harpas's cold, derisive laughter echoed across the battlefield, shrill and chilling like the cry of a night owl.

Each word was like a blade of ice, sharp and merciless, stabbing into the hearts of those who heard it.

"Hehehe…"

Contempt and scorn dripped from Harpas's voice—an ancient god looking down on mortals like ants, insignificant and easily crushed beneath divine fingertips.

"Just a swarm of insects…"

There was madness in Harpas's laughter, as if mocking these fragile lives for daring to oppose divinity.

"How dare you…"

His voice boomed through the air like thunder, shaking the hearts of all who heard it.

"How dare you…"

Louder still, fury and divine wrath surged in every syllable.

"How dare you challenge a god!?"

Harpas's roar was deafening, shaking the skies and causing the entire battlefield to tremble.

With a snap of his fingers, a ripple spread across the battlefield—silent and invisible, yet as deadly as the Reaper's scythe.

Caught in its wake, the Millelith without Visions and the ordinary civilians collapsed instantly, their faces twisted in agony as though trapped in a nightmarish hell.

"Behold! Mortals are this weak. What gives you ants the delusion that you could defy the majesty of a god!?"

There was mockery in Harpas's voice, savoring this one-sided massacre like it was a divine performance.

He raised both hands, and the aura of a demon god descended like a crushing mountain, making it hard for anyone to even breathe.

"Repent in death for your powerlessness!"

His voice was a decree of execution—a pronouncement of doom.

A massive beam of deep purple light shot toward the Liyue forces, like a herald of destruction.

It wasn't just an attack—it was despair incarnate. A divine mockery of mortal helplessness.

But then—Osial and Baqiu, who had been silently watching each other with suspicion—finally moved.

From the coast of Liyue Harbor, a colossal cyclone erupted into the skies, bearing down on the shore, while torrents of water shot forward from every direction like bolts from a ballista.

"Surrender to me!"

Harpas's voice took on a seductive tone, offering a final path to survival.

But the people of Liyue did not yield. Each responded in their own way—with resistance.

Jade light swirled around Ningguang, coalescing into meteors that streaked across the sky, each glowing with immense power.

They whistled through the air, dazzling as they illuminated the battlefield.

Purple lightning danced around Keqing's Lion's Roar, and as she slashed, countless arcs of sword energy tore through the sky.

They blazed like violet bolts of lightning, cleaving toward the enemy with overwhelming force.

Xiao raised his Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, dark green karmic energy wrapping around it. Empowered by Anemo, he hurled it forward.

The spear turned Into a green streak of light, like a dragon made of wind and karma, crashing down on the enemy.

Shenhe and Ganyu combined their strength, forming a massive arrow of Cryo energy.

The arrow flew like a white dragon, roaring toward the enemy.

Lumine unleashed a massive hurricane while summoning Starfell Swords, each crashing down with the weight of stone.

The hurricane howled like a sky-piercing dragon, sweeping toward the enemy.

The Starfell Swords slammed down like meteorites, heavy and unstoppable.

For a moment, the heavens blazed with color—brilliant lights, elemental forces, and dazzling bursts like celebratory fireworks.

The combined assault surged forward as one, forming a mighty wave of power that charged toward the enemy lines.

In the glow of that explosion of brilliance, the whole world seemed to tremble.

BOOM—

The two sides' attacks collided above Liyue Harbor with a deafening blast. The shockwave exploded outward like a tidal flood, engulfing the battlefield.

Waves dozens of meters high rose from the sea, as though threatening to swallow Liyue whole.

Buildings trembled, on the verge of collapse beneath the force of the impact.

Harpas's deep purple beam, backed by the power of three demon gods, was a force of annihilation.

And against that overwhelming power, the united assault of Liyue's defenders was simply too weak—like moths flying into a bonfire.

Despite giving their all, their combined efforts were crushed in an instant, shattered like twigs in a storm.

As the enemy's attack loomed like a colossal beast over Liyue Harbor, Lumine stared blankly at it, a look of despair and frustration in her eyes.

Paimon clung tightly to him, her eyes brimming with tears, overwhelmed by fear and sorrow.

"Traveler…"

Only then did Lumine snap out of it. She gently stroked Paimon's face, a glimmer of resolve flickering in his gaze.

"If there's another life… I'd still choose to travel the world with you."

Paimon's face was firm with determination. "Then in our next life, I'll still be your guide."

Lumine wrapped her in his arms, her eyes filled with light.

"Yeah… Goodbye, Paimon…"

Everyone closed their eyes, calmly awaiting the arrival of death.

Morax's mouth twitched.

He was about to intervene himself, and yet—over on the divine throne—Shajin still lounged back in his chair, utterly detached.

Finally, Morax couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Shajin… a promise broken shall be—"

Shajin waved a hand.

"It's fine~"

"…"

Morax thought: What else can I do but trust him?

The pain never came.

"Am I… dead?"

Ningguang opened her eyes in confusion—only to find herself, and everyone else, surrounded by a vast golden barrier, thin as paper.

It looked fragile enough to shatter with a touch… yet it had completely blocked the attack of three demon gods.

And then—

It wasn't just Ningguang.

Ganyu, Keqing, Shenhe, Lumine, and Paimon all looked toward the same thing:

The Mora they each carried.

It was glowing with dazzling golden light, radiating a sense of absolute safety.

Shajin stretched lazily on his throne.

"Well, I suppose it's time to get moving."

"Now then—it's my turn to take the stage~"
