Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: A Day Out

"You could waste your day here or we can take this day and go out to the beach, your choice." She seemed to pause for a bit. "You already know so let's get to it." Taking her figure off the sofa, Andrew rose to his feet as she switched into more comfortable and light clothes.

A light teal blouse that hung loosely over her body coupled with some shorts that exposed her legs. As for Andrew, he was still donned in his clothes and the two made their exit only to be met with the other two pair of ladies, Juliette and Diana.

'Wait! I thought that it would be the two of us.' Cassie mused in her head as she saw the van outside the apartment. The two ladies hopped off and greeted the two. "Andrew !" Diana exclaimed with a warm smile on her face, her arms wrapping around his figure.

As for Juliette, it was as simple as a handshake. "Nice to meet you as well, ladies. I'd like to introduce you two to Cassie. Cassie, this is Diana and this is Juliette." Andrew said as he gestured at the two respectively.

A nervous smile washed up on Cassie's face as she glanced at the two. 'Wait! Isn't Juliette the nurse from the clinic? But who is Diana and what relationship does she have with Andrew?' Her mind racking up, trying to decipher what status Andrew and Diana had between them.

It was clear that it was close with how Diana was around him. 'Maybe lovers? No, Andrew would have told me. She's probably a friend of Juliette's just accompanying us.' As for now, she was satiated with the conclusion she had in her mind.

"Well let's go then." Juliette mused as she hopped onto the driver's seat and the four made their way to Andrew's place for a change. The van the the two had pulled up in was from Clara who at first was hesitant of lending her it to her but after some explanation and introducing Juliette to her, she gave in.

Seeing Andrew's figure gone, Diana brought up a question that had been lingering in her mind. "So what is your relationship between you and Andrew?" Cassie who was absorbed with the world around her was taken by surprise.

"Ah! We're just friends." Her tone fervent. "Just friends, I do hope that you know about his condition." Diana added on. "Yes, he did inform me about it. Agonizing it must be." Her hand leaning at the window frame.

"What I don't take seriously is that he can accurately tell what is going to happen next. Framing it as purgatory, I don't know if it's true or not but the more he says it, the more it seems." Juliette added on, her hand casually holding onto the steering wheel and the other on the window frame.

"Maybe it's true or maybe he's just fooling around." Diana joked which brought out a snicker from the two ladies at the front. Cassie fell silent as she pondered more about it. She believed what he had stated and felt pity for him.

"Do you think he's cute?" Diana posed, teasing Cassie. "Sure he's conservative but you can't deny the charm he has." Startled, Cassie rose up in arms. "I- Uh! Sure he's good looking but sparking a relationship is illogical. Given the he can't feel anything."

The two picked up how tense she was when it came to the subject. Sadly before their teasing got out of hand, Andrew came back wearing more appropriate clothes for the day.

With the four now set for the day, they made their way to the beach. The inviting rays poking through the windows already tempted them to enjoy it however they withheld it till they got to their destination.

The sight of people making their way on the sidewalks, their visages plastered with expressions of joy and calmness as they took made their way to the beach.

After parking the van, the four were able to finding a suitable place to settle down. The sight was refreshing and entrancing. The blue ocean that stretched out to the horizon as a cool breeze flowed effortlessly. The grainy sand beneath their feet and the sunny weather.

It was everything suitable for this day. Setting up the umbrella to protect them from the shade, Diana indulged the rest to go out swimming with her. "No, I'm good watching from afar." Cassie's excuse however she glanced at Andrew, hoping that he wouldn't state out her reason.

Andrew agreed given that he still had to work on Diana. "I'll stay with Cassie. You don't mind rubbing some sun tan on me, do you?" Juliette posed to which she reached to their basket. "Since these two won't join us, let's go for a dip Andrew."

Taking off his shirt, his abs were out in full display, a recall of his stunning physique. "Wow, I didn't think that you were ripped this hard." Diana mused which seemed to be on their minds. Given that he would wear clothes that failed to expose how body, seeing it in full display was a treat.

Of course they knew that he was packed but the extent was uncertain until now. "Okay, shouldn't you two be going out to swim. We'll be watching from here." Juliette snarky comment reigned to which a playful smirk washed up on Diana's face.

"Okay sheesh. It's as of you want us gone." And with that the two made their way to the shore which was populated with people but not to the point that it was a problem. Multiple tents and umbrellas had been set up all over making it seem like a rainbow of colors from afar.

The cool water brushing against her skin was refreshing, a treat that Andrew could only imagine but never experience. The two went out a bit as they splashed the water around, making up their own little game of a race which would end with Diana as the victor. The distance from the shores about twenty meters.

"You really don't have to let me win like this, Andrew." In between her laughs, Diana spoke. "What, I thought that you would like it if you'd win." Her face expressing ridicule. "Given your body, I'm sure that you could easily beat me. And I'm not a child so stop treating me like one."

"Then let's have another race. From here to the shore." She nodded in approval. "Okay, we start after the count to three. One...two...three..." Without warning, she burst into a crawl to which he followed her.

Within a few seconds, he was able to catch up to her and surpass her. The more she tried to catch up, the farther he would grow away from her and a few minutes later, he was done which she was halfway to the shore. Gritting her teeth in defeat, she could only keep on going till she arrived at the shore.

"You didn't have to show off that much." She exclaimed as she regained her breathe. Her hand resting on his shoulder and the other on her waist. "You wanted a proper competition, didn't you?" His tone flat as his eyes landed on her face.

"Yeah but not to such an extent. Seriously it wasn't a world race or something of the sort. Since you won, you will have the privilege of buying me ice cream." He went on with her muses as the two made their way back to the other pair. Getting closer, they realized that Juliette was gone.

"Where is she?" Diana asked, glancing around the place. "She went to buy some drinks though she won't take long." Cassie responded, her entire figure completely masked by the shadow of the umbrella. "She went over to the store opposite to the parking lot if you're interested."

And with that, Diana took her leave. "I just want her to buy something for me. I love her but her taste when it comes to such matters is where we have our differences." The two were left alone as the cool breeze brushed past their figures.

She couldn't help but admire his body, the glistening beads of water draping down his muscles. Truly an allure for the eyes however before she could fully take it all in, her eyes locked on with his as he took a seat next to him. "Oh, I was just...uh-"

A small smile forming on his face. "I don't mind." His eyes falling half asleep as he enjoyed the scene. "I knew that you would make such a thing!" Disgruntled voices came from the side and looking at the source, it was the two ladies.

Diana seemed dissatisfied whereas Juliette came off as satisfied. "Maybe next time you'll tell me ahead of time. And besides, if you want to make your own purchase, then have your own money." She handed out the cold drinks to the other two who lasted about in their chairs.

Andrew admired it before placing it to the side whereas Cassie took a sip of it. It was a cool energy drink which had a somewhat of a bland taste. From the look on her face, it was clear that she wasn't that fond of it. "See, even Cassie doesn't like it. It would have been better if I made the purchase."

Diana protested however Juliette seemed content with her decisions. "Well I like it. " Her figure taking a seat next to the pair. "Andrew, can you please..." Andrew mused in his half asleep state. "It better not be alcohol Diana."

"I... wasn't going to ask for alcohol for crying out loud! I just wanted you to make a purchase for me." Her tone bipolar, ranging from anger to sweetness. "Why don't you get a job for crying out loud since you have a financial problem?!"

Juliette teased as she cracked open one the cans she had bought and took a lions sip from it. Pausing, it was clear that she enjoyed it. "Because I got fired from my last one. Will you just help me Andrew or not?!" Her tone now no longer soft but now irritated.

"Sure, let's go." He hopped back onto his feet, his figure no longer drenched in sweat as the two made their way to the store after putting back on his shirt. After crossing the road, the two made their way into a small store that advertised all kinds of goods.

It was cool, the AC helping out with the stroke of heat outside which made it a temporary relief to those taking a gander. Diana made her way straight to the beverages as she examined what was showcased.
