This must be the location Hisoka sent. The location of the Phantom Troupe. Hisoka has no plan; he doesn't know Chrollo's purpose in Yorknew City. He sent Loki the location and is waiting for the right moment to have Loki help him fight Chrollo one-on-one.
The auction began late the next day. Shachmono, Ivlenkov, and Baise, dressed in suits and gowns, went to the auction to bid. Kurapika, Melody, Basho, and Rinsen monitored the front and back entrances.
Neon, unable to attend the auction, was throwing a tantrum in her hotel room. Dalzollene had been trying to calm her down for a long time, but to no avail.
Loki and Squala were resting in their room.
"Loki, as a senior, I have to remind you not to defy the captain. You're a new Hunter," Squala said, giving Loki some life advice. He was a good guy, despite acting like a senior.
"I wasn't defying him; I was telling the truth."
"Sigh," Squala sighed. "You're strong and talented, becoming a Hunter at your age and learning Nen. But in the workplace, never conflict with your superior."
Seeing Loki's unmoved expression, Squala smiled. "You'll understand later. You're just a kid. When you have a lover, you'll have to endure things for work and life."
Loki looked at him. This guy was talkative.
Dalzollene approached as Loki went out. "Loki, watch Neon. I'll rest." He had bumps on his head from Neon throwing things.
Loki said nothing and went to Neon's room. The room was a mess.
Neon, angry, turned around. Thinking it was Dalzollene, she stopped when she saw Loki.
Neon stopping surprised her maids. "The… the… new… kid… what are you doing here?" Neon asked nervously.
The maids looked at each other. Why was she stuttering? They looked at Loki. A strangely dressed cute kid. Nothing special.
Loki looked at the mess. "The Captain told me to watch you."
Neon blushed. "I don't need watching."
Loki looked at the mess. "It doesn't look like it."
Neon turned away. "I was playing games with Elisa."
"Playing games," Loki repeated, sitting in the corner, his head down.
Neon blushed. 'A kid saw me like this! So embarrassing.' She felt uncomfortable with Loki. It wasn't because she liked him; it was because he was a child. She was much older.
She didn't mind Dalzollene seeing her tantrum; he was used to it. He was a Adult; it wasn't shameful. But acting like a child in front of a younger kid was embarrassing. He was younger but calm; she was older but acting like a child. That's why she blushed when he entered. Adults don't blush in front of children. She considered herself an adult; Loki was a kid.
The maids cleaned quickly; they were used to it.
Loki's mind was on the auction.
"Hey!!! Hey!!! New bodyguard! What's your name?" Neon asked. "Hey!!! Are you listening?!"
Loki turned. Neon was squatting in front of him. She looked cuter after cleaning up.
"My name is Neon. Why are you working so young? Where's your family?"
Loki looked at her hand, then at Neon. He extended his hand. "Dead."
"Dead…" Neon's smile faltered. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be," Loki said.
"Eat something!"
Loki looked at Neon strangely. Her attitude changed too much.
Neon tried to remain calm. She'd been embarrassed in front of a child and wanted to regain face. But hearing about Loki's dead family… a child who'd suffered… her maternal instincts surged.
She grabbed Loki's hand and took him to the other side of the room, making him sit on the sofa. She had Elisa bring a large strawberry cake.
"Eat! It's my favorite. Try it," she said, handing him a spoon.
Loki sat on the sofa, looking at the tall cake and the spoon. Was she trying to make him eat all of it? Neon took a bite. "Delicious!"
She saw Loki was still staring, so she put a spoonful of cake to his mouth. "Open your mouth! It's delicious!"
In another room, Dalzollene watched Neon feed Loki cake on the screen. His face was grim. Squala was stunned. What was happening? Why was she so kind to Loki? He wondered if Dalzollene had shot himself in the foot. He'd sent Loki to watch Neon to let him experience her tantrums. This was different.
"It seems…" Dalzollene's face was dark. "Loki is liked by the young lady!"
Squala sweated. "Y-yes!"
Dalzollene looked at Squala. "We must take care of Mr. Loki!"
"Y-yes, we should take care of Loki," Squala said, sighing. He lacked social experience.
Da da da! Terrifying Nen bullets fired from Franklin's fingers. His hands were like machine guns. The bullets were powerful; they easily pierced people. People in front were killed instantly. People behind fled.
Baise ran to the door, opening it. Sharchmono and Ivlenkov followed her, escaping. Their faces were pale. Dozens were killed instantly. If they hadn't been quick, they wouldn't have escaped.
"Thanks to Baise suggesting we sit at the entrance. Otherwise, we'd be dead," Shachmono said, grateful to Baise.
Baise said, "Loki told me. He was right. Let's tell the others."
Ivlenkov was on the phone. "I'm contacting them."
They didn't notice two statues at the entrance—one red, one blue.
Baise leaned against the red statue. "When did this appear?"
Shachmono and Ivlenkov looked at the statue.
"It wasn't there when we came in," Shachmono said.
Ivlenkov nodded. "No."
"Ivlenkov, what's wrong?" Kurapika's voice came from the phone.
"Kurapika, enemies attacked…"
Boom! A gust of wind blew from behind.
