"Loki's a Hunter chosen by Netero, the legendary Hunter Association Nen user. He'll be fine," Baise said, sweating. She didn't know if Loki could win, but she said this to reassure everyone.
Dalzollene thought. "Let's wait and see. Prepare the cars; we might need to escape."
Uvogin's earlier display of power was impressive, but now it was clear he hadn't been serious. Could Loki defeat him? Dalzollene didn't think so. But he had to see Loki die. If they left now, Netero might come looking for them later. It was better to be safe.
On the battlefield, Loki's eyes widened. "Powerful Nen!"
"Scared, kid? You've angered me. You won't live," Uvogin said.
Boom! Sand and stones flew. Uvogin attacked again, gathering Nen into his fist. He appeared before Loki, glaring at him, and punched him in the head.
"Die!"
Loki slowly raised his hand, forming a gun shape, and aimed it at Uvogin.
Uvogin paused. 'He's going to attack? Too late.' His fist was almost on Loki's head. He could almost see Loki's head exploding like a watermelon.
But as his fist neared, Loki flickered. Uvogin's eyes widened. 'He dodged! His speed...'
Bang! A gunshot-like sound echoed. Uvogin looked at himself; there were no injuries. 'He missed.'
But then Uvogin felt Porcupine, one of the Shadow Beasts on his fist, fall to the ground. Uvogin's face froze. That attack was...
Loki jumped several times, creating distance. He lowered his hand. "I took care of that nuisance. Try to be more serious."
Porcupine was dead, killed by Loki in one move. Rabid Dog and Leech were stunned. Porcupine had been holding Uvogin's fist, limiting his power, yet Loki had killed him. Why? Rabid Dog's face was grim. This kid was as dangerous as Uvogin; they had to escape.
As Rabid Dog moved, a powerful killing intent washed over him.
"Stay there. Don't move, or I'll kill you," Loki said coldly, his back to Rabid Dog.
Rabid Dog froze, unable to move. Loki's killing intent made him immobile. 'Why? He's not Nostrade! He doesn't know we're Shadow Beasts! Why did he kill Porcupine and threaten me?' Rabid Dog wondered, but he couldn't move.
Leech also stepped back, freezing under Loki's killing intent.
Uvogin looked down at Porcupine. "You want a fair fight?"
"Hahaha! You're interesting, kid," Uvogin said, his smile gone, his gaze serious. "I'll grant your wish!"
Boom! The ground shook violently. A roaring sound echoed.
"He killed his companion for a fair fight. Interesting," Nobunaga said, approving of Loki's actions.
"He's a battle-loving madman," Franklin said.
"I should have attacked first," Feitan said.
Machi stared at Loki; he didn't seem like a Shadow Beasts.
Uvogin unleashed his full power. Nen erupted; the ground trembled. Nobunaga and the others' eyes widened. "Finally serious! This kid won't last long."
Nobunaga sighed, feeling sorry for Loki. Uvogin was serious. The Troupe was surprised by Loki's earlier strength, but they never thought Uvogin would lose.
"This fight's almost over," someone said.
"Uvogin's at full power! It's been a while. He's gotten stronger!" Nobunaga smiled, watching with interest.
Nen erupted, creating a powerful wind that blew dust towards the distance. A stronger wind spread. The bodyguards' eyes widened in terror. He hadn't been using his full power before! They couldn't win against a monster like this.
Basho fell to the ground, stunned.
Kurapika stood behind Uvogin, in the wind. 'Good chance. He's focused on Loki. I can capture him.' But Loki hadn't signaled him. He decided to wait.
Seeing Uvogin's Nen create a terrifying storm, the smile on Loki's face faded. He stared seriously at Uvogin. Uvogin at full power was the perfect test.
Boom boom! Before Uvogin attacked, Loki vanished. 'Faster than before! He wasn't serious before.' Loki moved like a phantom, appearing beside Uvogin, punching him in the chest.
Uvogin didn't defend; he knew he couldn't block Loki's speed. He maintained a strong stance, 50% defense and 50% offense, to test Loki's attack power and counterattack.
Loki jumped away. Bang! Loki reappeared beside Uvogin, punching him again. Uvogin countered, but missed.
In seconds, Loki attacked from five or six directions, but only made Uvogin tremble slightly. Uvogin's reactions were slightly slower than Loki's speed.
