Leo fake-fainted into Callum's arms.
Callum caught him. "Scandalous."
Lance piped up, "Is that why there's a ruin? You *ruined* it?"
Seraphina groaned and covered her face. "It was a training mission, not a honeymoon!"
Jared smirked. "But did you kiss?"
"No," Seraphina said too quickly.
"Yes," Aldric said at the same time.
The children howled.
"Was there moonlight?"
"Were you naked?!"
"Jared!"

Evelisse covered her face. 'Please stop talking.'
Lucien blinked. "You never mentioned this place."
"It wasn't on any map," Aldric said quietly. "Not the ones we use now. It was abandoned for years. I—"
"He proposed there," Seraphina cut in, flustered.
Evelisse peeked between her fingers.
Jared gasped. "On the beach?!"
Leo whooped. "This place just became legendary!"
