Sei blinked his eyes. He was again in front of the figure. He tried to blink again, but this time, nothing happened—the cave was gone.
Instead, he now stood in an endless desert, an ocean of golden sand stretching far and wide with nothing but large stones in view. The air moved smoothly, lifting chunks of sand particles that shimmered in the sunlight. The sun hung heavy overhead, casting no shadows.
He looked around, confused. There was no statue, no altar.
Then he turned around and froze at the sight of the scene in front of him. Two men stood just meters away from each other, locked in fierce battle. Both of them were wounded gravely, the land beneath them was stained in blood. Their bodies scarred and dusty. But their presence was immense.
