Bethany was beyond happy when she saw the sun rise far across her big window, which she'd been sitting on for over three hours due to the overwhelming anticipation that bubbled continuously in her chest.
After the talk with her mother yesterday, she felt lighter. The weight of their absence was easier to carry and she had a very bubbly dinner with her family.
But as soon they said goodnight to each other, and everyone retired to their rooms, it came crashing down on her again.
Piece by piece.
She tried to chin up, be strong for her mates, but like every other advise, it was easier said than done.
So after a while of turning restlessly on her bed, she decided to go sit on her window pane, her legs hanging on the other side as she spoke to herself, and well every other animal around her that cared to listen.
She considered going for a run, but Maria wasn't feeling like it so they stuck to the window pane, the chilly night welcoming them with open arms.
