Chapter 67 - DULK: Chapter 67

Arthas said this, and Riveria shook her head.

"No, power is power; it's your power. It may not be from your efforts, but it's in your bloodline."

"It's from your parents and ancestors; it's yours. Don't be confused."

Gently holding Arthas's hands, Riveria smiled softly.

"My own power?"

"As a mage, you need physical fitness, but not excessively. You don't need to gasp after walking or casting a spell."

"Focus on controlling your mana, making your power useful!"

"It's late. We'll start tomorrow. Ais will train your physical abilities and swordsmanship. I'll teach you magic!"

Seeing Riveria's serious expression, Arthas nodded, awed by her authority.

"And… no funny business during training, or I'll be unhappy!"

"Funny business… what's that?"

Seeing Riveria's cute expression, Arthas smiled, gently holding her finger.

"You know. If you annoy me, I won't teach you!"

Annoyed, Riveria slapped his hand away, leaning closer, her finger almost touching his face.

Grasping her wrist, Arthas pulled her closer and kissed her more boldly, seen by Ais.

Ais, blushing, turned away, hearing Riveria's muffled protests.

"Mages… are weaker physically."

After the kiss, Arthas chuckled, breathless.

"You… you're a jerk!"

Riveria, blushing crimson, playfully hit Arthas's chest. Her words lacked the usual eloquence of an elf.

"If being a jerk gets me the girl I like, I don't mind."

"Don't say 'get'! It sounds like I'm an object."

Riveria pouted playfully.

"Should I leave?"

Ais said, seeing Arthas and Riveria flirting.

"Let's go. It's time to leave."

Riveria cleared her throat, standing up formally.

"See you tomorrow."

"Tomorrow."

Arthas watched Ais and Riveria leave as the sun set.

"It's dark…"

Arthas muttered, smiling faintly.

"I'm closer to Riveria, and I know her feelings."

She doesn't dislike me… she's just worried about the rules.

The Gods' rules?

Sighing inwardly, a cold blue light flickered in Arthas's right eye.

If so… I'll destroy those rules and create my own.

"You're back early. Why are you two back so late?"

Loki stood up from the sofa, stretching, as Ais and Riveria entered.

She looked puzzled; they'd returned when it was almost completely dark. The expedition team had returned much earlier.

"We were delayed."

Riveria said; Loki narrowed her eyes, studying them.

"Ais and Riveria… did you…"

Loki drawled, her inquisitive gaze making Riveria nervous. Ais remained impassive.

"Did you sneak off on a date?!"

"Goddess, what are you saying…?"

Riveria sighed; she couldn't expect anything good from Loki.

"Didn't you? I heard! You defeated the floor boss alone! Amazing! My dear Ais!"

"Too close."

Ais impassively pushed Loki's face away.

"What… let's update your 'stats'?"

"…Okay."

"Hee hee, it's been a while since I touched Ais's soft skin!"

"Try it, and I'll kill you."

"Really?"

A flustered Loki put a hand on Ais's shoulder and left the room. Riveria sighed in relief; she'd been afraid Loki would discover her feelings for Arthas.

"My Ais reached Level 6!"

Loki's cheers came from the room; Riveria smiled faintly.

Congratulations, Ais. You're closer to your goal.
