The Alpha world was an empty room filled with only darkness filled with blue stripes forming squares and cubes of the same size over and over until the infinite void that fill the space become a landscape of monochrome figures
Inside this dark and gloomy space, a speck light shone dimly, before an entire door oppened and let the bright and radiant rays coming from the outside illuminate the darkness
From this door entered a figure, a girl with pink hair forming two buns on the side, an elegant white shirt and purple long skirt, two white wings sprouting out of her back and a bright halo over her head. Eve, now wearing a white mask covering only her eyes, with one exposed to the outside world and the other covered by the white mask, a black crack spliting where it should have been, entered the Alpha world.
She floated on the empty space, as if gravity doesn't existed and she could move how her mind willed inside the void, and created a little light grey chip that, once again, transformed into a grey mike, this time without a pedestal
The blue lines covering the darkness of the Alpha world vanished, leaving the space in an eternal, infinite and unending darkness that seems to absorb the concept of light itself
Suddenly, in the mind of millions, no, billions, no, trillions, no, even more than that, way more than that, the voice of Eve could be heard
"You have waited for this moment for an entire week ! Maybe you lost some night beceause of it, maybe you dreamed of its start ! No matter how you prepared, it is not enough ! For this event is gonna change the course of the life of every living thing that can hear me right now !"
Eve's voice resonated in the head of every living creature. No matter if they could understand any language, even if the subject had never developped the ability to talk or hear, it heard her voice and understood her words
Unlike previously, her speech was not only broadcasted to every space where life existed, no matter the universe. No, it was connected to every life form in every universes that exist, to make the hear and listen to every words she say, no matter if they wanted or not
"Listen closely beceause I will only explain this once and beceause I can't hear you, I can't answer your question."
Thus Eve started explaining the rules in a long detailed speech
"The battle of the divine throne is a tournament hosting the 16 strongest warrior, champion and geniuses of all universes combined. Those person have been selected through tests and interview to recruit the best of the best, we are throughly sorry to everyone who were rejected, you will do better next time, if there ever is one."
From outside the Alpha world, Adam was looking at her through the door, he knew that connected herself to every life forms in every universes, even with all the preparations they had done, was extremely draining, in case something goes wrong he was ready to help her, somehow
"In every round the winner will be decided by who kill or incapacitate the enemy fighter, that we are gonna called Apex, first. In case of a draw, if both Apexs are incapacitated, we will host a vote for who do you think deserve to win more, if both fighter are dead, they are disqualified and someone else is lucky and can skip a round, if only one of them is dead and the other one is incapacitated, the Apex incapacitated win. That's a mouthfull, I know. Let's hope we don't have to think to much about it and that every round's winner is clear as day !"
At Adam's side, the angel of Salvation was sitting down, his legs crossed. The long golden haired Michael had its eyes closed, either thinking or praying, he paid no mind to the voice in his head and the angel at his side, lost in thought
Adam was not feeling the threatening aura that Michael had exposed a week earlier, during their small confrontation. He seemed to have calmed down with the time passed
"I am Eve the presentator and commentator of the tournament. I will do my best to explain everything that happen during the fight for you to understand it. After all, I know some of you won't even see anything that happens, well that's fine. We planned for it !"
A yellow computer with a sticker depicting yellow wings and a white angel halo on the back suddenly appeared at Eve's side
"You might be thinking 'What have you planned for us ?' or 'How do we even witness the battles ?'. Well this dear and wonderful Eve is gonna show you !"
After all, everyone could only hear her voice, not see her. Knowing every battles were going to happen inside the empty space that is the Alpha world, if this what meant to be broadcasted to every living things, then it failed its purpose
Turquoise sparkles were conjured from her hand and started to materialize a glowing crystal of the shape of a rombus with no impurities
It feel into the angel's hand. She gripped the perfect crystal before shattering into millions of the same sparkle that created it
The turquoise light converged into Eve's hand, this time entering inside of it. This caused a faint aura of the same color to surrond Eve before she infused it into the computer in front of her.
She then pressed a green button on the screen with the word 'Connect' written on it
Suddenly, everything that had heard the divine call felt their body float upward, as if defying gravity. They lost control of their limbs, feeling like they've been frozen in time but could still think
After what felt like multiple minutes, but was in fact a few seconds, everything seems to regain control of their body.
After opening their eyes, for the ones who had some, they saw that they were in a dark room devoid of light and colors safe for an infinite horizon filled with dark blue squares and a beautifull girl with pink hair, a silky white dress with
"Everybody has now been transfered to what we call the Alpha World ! This is the arena were every battle is gonna take place. Were the strongest in existence is gonna be decided !"
In reality, it was only their soul which had been transported, their true body were still living at the place they were before the transportation. If this caused anything to fall to their death, there were no way they could check every universes to make sure. Thus the population of bird and other avian creatures had decreased
"Everyone here cannot see anybody else than themselves and me but every living being has been teleported. In the Alpha world, you have free will over your coordinates and perception and cannot be hurted by anything..." Hopefully she added in her head. *With the ability of every Apex having been reviewed, no problem should arise*
"You can move your spiritual body but also teleport to anywhere you want."
After the informations concerning their status has been provided, many attempted to move at various speed or instantly to some places inside the Alpha world, with success.
They traveled far and wide inside this empty and unending repeating space
"Don't you all think this darkness is rather depressing ? Well I do, so let's put some color in here. Alpha world ! Simulate the Eden, the 1st realm of the angel kingdom !"
As soon as the request was made, the dark void started to change. Stars of lights could be seen far away and the emptiness quickly became replaced with a different scenery
In a mere 10 seconds, the previously entirely dark world shifted into one of light and radiance
Hundred's of thousands of floating island of various sizes, from a village to a mountain, made from a light brown stone, golden and yellow clouds filling the horizon and the pure blue sky
Houses, castles, palaces and statues depicting various figures were seen everywhere in this golden and azur landscape
"The Alpha World has the ability to replicate any existing landscape which will serve as our fighting grounds. Welcome everyone to Eden, the 1st and largest realm of the angel kingdom and first creation of the Man who'se position you are fighting for. This will serve as the arena for our first fight."
The spectators took the time to look around and admire the beautiful picture that laid before their eyes. The various wonders of architecture that could be called nothing but perfect.
"With that said, let's start to introduce our first participant !"
Eve's voice was still ingrained in the mind of everyone present, and they all, without exception came back to their original position to witness the true start of this war
"They are the Apex of our world, of all world, and should be addressed as such. Through hard work, perseverance and their talent they climbed to the position that they are today. And they are willing to fight for something bigger and to offer you a spectacle like none have seen before. Even if they can't hear you, I will ask you to aplaud and cheer for them for they may feel it !"
Adam, now crouched on the ground, saw Michael open his eyes and start to walk forward.
"Show me how you're gonna win this then. I would be happy if you do. I know you after all."
Michael continued to advance toward the door of the Alpha World before turning his head back and answering
"I hope you have a good watch of this battle you're advertising as a show."
He looked in front of him and again and continued his slow walk, resolve in his eyes.
*If someone must inherit God's throne, it must be me. There is not other way.* - He thought
They couldn't hear Eve's voice for they were not in the Alpha World yet Michael still approached the door to enter. Adam did nothing to stop him
"Our first Apex of the world is the first and strongest angel. He is the man who'se position you are fighting for right hand man. He is know by many title but present himself today as only one. He is the hand of justice and freedom in our angel society. I present to you -"
A silent square door was oppened in the now radiant and golden realm of Eden and a tall figure passed through it
He had long golden hair and eyes with a square jawline. 6 radiant wings sprouting from his body addorned with a white and dark blue coat and suit flowing in the simulated wind
His beautiful features and gracefull mouvement captivated many who couldn't help but stare at him for a while
"- The angel of Salvation, Michael !"
The golden angel, despite not seeing any of the spectators, put up a radiant smile and waved to the invisible audiance observing him
Up in the sky, he could see clearly Eve's figure flying alone. It seems she made herself visible to the fighters. Her voice being heard normally through the mike, unlike the spectators that couldn't stop it no matter if they tried or not.
"And for our second Apex. Who will fight the Angel of Salvation ? She is a member of the IUP, standing for Inter-Universal Police, the only organization that can travel between universes to solve crisis. With a perfect success rate on all operation she participated in, no criminal or beast could escape her. She is -"
On another floating island than the one Michael was on, another similar door oppened and a woman walked through it
She had curly dark blue hair and blue eyes hidden behind sunglasses. Sporting a black oppened jacket, white crop top short dark pants and black sports shoes. Holding on both hand a metallic old looking dark grey revolver
Many felt weird about the outfit of this new participant. It felt too casual, as if she was simply going out on a walk instead of a fight she could die in
However, what surprised, or maybe interested, most of the audience was the seeming puppet joints on the knees and elbows of the sligthly tan skinned woman
"- Light in Darkness, Claire Sol"
Without waiting any time for both Apexs to even talk or look at each other, she annonced the start of the tournament
"I hope you all are not scared of blood beceause this might get violent ! Phase 1 ! Round 1 ! Angel of Salvation Michael against Light in Darkness Claire Sol ! You start when you want !"
