Everything passed quickly. After finishing the meal and spending some time chatting, Fiona stood up with a grin and stretched her arms lazily. With a playful wink, she leaned in and whispered, "I only snuck out… so I have to go now. Bye~" She waved her hand cheerfully.
Karina smiled gently and waved back. "Bye-bye, Stinky Lady."
Though the nickname still lingered, her voice no longer held the same edge. It was softer now, almost affectionate. I chuckled quietly to myself, amazed by how quickly Fiona had managed to capture Karina's heart. That woman really was something else.
Once Fiona was gone, Karina turned to me with shining eyes and an eager smile. "Father, can you teach me some new spells?" she asked, tilting her head with curiosity practically glowing off her.
Seeing her like this, how could I refuse?
