An elevator chimes softly as it reaches a private floor near the top of The Spireline Hotel.
Vaela steps out, her heels clicking against the gleaming floor as Lilith trails behind her, finger to her pursed lips while deep in thought. Their suite door stands before them, large, gilded and undeniably elite. Vaela slides her keycard across a sleek terminal and it swings open, revealing her suite.
Inside, the room is almost offensively opulent, featuring velvet furniture, gold-tipped drapery and a panoramic view of the glittering skyline of Alfenhirst which shimmers off every reflective surface in the suite. The place feels like a gilded cage to the pair, who barely pauses to admire any of it.
"We need a plan, Lilith! A strategy." Vaela exclaims as she throws the door shut.
She tosses her bag and coat onto a couch while walking to a window. Her reflection stares back at her, haunted, scared but pulsing with a newly found purpose.
