Chapter 58 - Chapter 58;SPARKS AND ADVANCES

Chapter 58

Na yeon's slender fingers ascended into the air, her eyes drifting lazily towards a male teacher who was supervising the students as they looked for partners,he stood bathed in the warm sunlight, his presence seeming to draw her in. "May I share a room with him..sir?" she asked, her voice laced with a quiet intensity, a hint of determination simmering beneath the surface. The teacher's face darkened, his head shaking in emphatic refusal. "Absolutely not," he said, his tone brooking no argument. "Boys and girls will be staying in separate quarters." Na yeon's gaze fluttered back to hyun min, a soft, enigmatic smile tracing the curves of her lips as she whispered, "I will see you later, then."

Na yeon's lips brushed against his cheek in a fleeting gesture, leaving him looking stunned and slightly disapproving. She hurried away, her steps light and carefree. Meanwhile, Chuchu was scanning the area, her brow furrowed in frustration. With her two friends already paired up and sharing a room, as she had told them to,she was now on the hunt for a partner of her own. Before she could call out for help, Na yeon's voice floated over her shoulder, "Want to be my roommate?" Chuchu spun around, her expression a mix of surprise and skepticism. She scuffed the ground with her shoe, her eyes narrowing slightly as if to say, "Seriously?" Na yeon's face lit up with sacarsm "Oh, don't look so scared. I won't bite...or are you scared I will murder you,"

Chuchu's laughter dripped with sarcasm as she taunted, "Well, we're not exactly BFFs from the get-go, are we? I mean, you're the one who should be trembling in my presence."

Na yeon's response was swift, her voice laced with a mix of amusement and determination. "Look around," she said, her arm sweeping across the dwindling crowd. "You don't exactly have any of options. Let's get a room."

With that, Na yeon spun on her heel and strode away, leaving Chuchu with little choice but to trail behind her.

Chuchu's eyes narrowed as she studied Na yeon's back, and there was an evil grin plastered on her face.

Hyun Min approached the teacher, his voice was crooked and flat"I need a room to myself," he requested.

The teacher's calm demeanor indicated the level of respect he had for the student sanding before him. "To be honest, it's going to be tough to get a solo room," he replied, his voice measured. "The rooms here are limited, and we're pairing people up. You'll just have to make do for the next two days. That's the situation we're in."

His tone was understanding, yet firm, brooking no argument. "However, you can go to the end – there's a room there. You can find someone to pair up with and sort it out." The teacher gestured down the hallway, his eyes lingering on Hyun Min for a moment before returning to the papers on the wooden camp desk.

---- ------

Hyun Min stepped into the room, the soft creak of the door announcing his arrival. The space was empty, the silence a welcome respite from the chaos outside. He wandered over to the bed, his eyes scanning the neatly arranged sheets and pillows. It was tidy, but something about it didn't quite fit his personal style. He wrinkled his nose, sniffing the sheets before sitting down, taking a moment to himself. The mattress creaked softly beneath him.

After a while, Hyun Min stood up, his movements fluid, and made his way to the water dispenser in the corner of the room. Everything was neatly arranged.

He reached out for a cup, his fingers tracing the rim to check for dust, but it seemed the fresh disposable cups had been brought in that day, spotless. Satisfied, he moved on to inspect the water, which sparkled with clarity, neatly arranged in its dispenser. His gaze lingered for a moment before he discarded the first cup, his hand having made contact. He reached for another disposable cup, prioritizing hygiene over frugality, his health worth the extra precaution.

As he poured himself a drink of water, the sound of laughter echoed through the hallway, growing louder with each passing moment.

The door swung open, and two guys burst into the room, their laughter filling the space. Hyun Min paused, his eyes drifting towards the newcomers. One of them caught his gaze, and a surprised expression crossed his face. "Oh, wow... so cute" he said his voice trailing off as he took in Hyun Min's features. The words hung in the air, suspended in the silence that followed. Hyun Min's eyes met the guy's, a spark of curiosity igniting within them.

"And you are?" Hyun Min inquired, his voice tranquil and composed as he gazed at the two guys. One of them flashed a charming smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Oh, calm down, darling. We thought this room would be unoccupied," he said with a hint of amusement. Hyun Min's expression remained impassive, but he arched an eyebrow. "Then one person should remain, the other should depart," he suggested, continuing to sip his water with an air of nonchalance. From the corner of his eye, he noticed one of them licked his lips, a subtle movement that didn't escape his attention.

The guy who had licked his lips stepped forward a bit, his smile widening into something predatory. "Now, now, is that any way to treat your guests? We were just hoping to get to know you better." The other guy frowned. And the first guy continued. "And maybe have a little fun." Hyun Min didn't say anything, his expression unreadable as he watched the guy make a fool of himself.

The guy continued, his smile faltered slightly, but he quickly recovered. "I have never seen you before...are you a new student??" He tried to take another step closer and the second guy whispered to him "What are you doing...? You want to choose him over me?" The first guy's response was barely audible, a hushed reassurance: "Calm down... We can just have fun with him... He's cute." The air in the room seemed to thicken, the tension palpable.
