Chapter 17 - University Selection Rules

Eatie Academy, where Bhavin Agnihotri was from, was also led by the school teachers to occupy one section of the square.

On one side of the square, a huge high platform had already been erected, with teachers and leaders from the admissions office of various higher education institutions of the East Clear Empire of Country-I taking their places one after another. At the very center of the high platform, two huge tables were most conspicuous.

Behind the table on the left sat a dignified-looking middle-aged man with a straight nose and square mouth. The man wore a faint smile on his face, exuding a bit of kindness amidst his dignity. Behind the man stood a tall, slim girl.

The girl was tall, with her long, straight legs almost making up half of her body. Her features were radiant, her chest as mountains, with her high ponytail adding a lively confidence.

Behind the table on the right was a middle-aged woman with a severe expression, sharp-edged brows, slightly high cheekbones, and tightly pursed lips, appearing very stern. Behind her stood another girl.

This girl seemed as if she was carved from the same mold as the middle-aged woman, with slightly upturned eyes, her chest flat as a mirror, carrying a long spear on her back, her expression calm yet her gaze exceedingly proud.

These two were the recruitment teachers from the two best higher education institutions in the East Clear Empire — Qinga Academy and Btira Academy.

Seeing that the recruitment representatives from each academy were in place, the host of the selection conference approached the two and said respectfully. "Professor Lara, Professor Amith, the students participating in this university selection conference are all here. Please preside over the proceedings."

Qinga Academy and Btira Academy held a transcendent status in the East Clear Empire, nurturing numerous outstanding professionals.

Moreover, the professors from these two academies all held ranks in the military, hence the host addressed them as "Professor."

The stern-faced middle-aged woman nodded slightly, turning to her side and saying. "Professor Amith, it looks like almost everyone is here. Shall we begin?"

Amith smiled slightly. "The last university selection conference was hosted by our Qinga Academy. This time, let's leave it to Professor Lara."

Lara wasn't surprised at all and nodded slightly. The university selection conference was traditionally hosted alternately by Qinga Academy and Btira Academy, and it was Btira Academy's turn this year.

Lara stood up and moved to the forefront of the high platform.

She cast a stringent gaze over the newly promoted professionals below and spoke. "I am Lara, recruitment teacher from Btira Academy. I hereby announce that this university selection conference has formally begun."

Lara's speech was straightforward and abrupt, without any superfluous elaboration or build-up, going directly to the point.

"Will the student representatives from each academy step forward, maintain a two-meter interval, and stand on the open ground below," Lara gestured to the space below the platform and spoke calmly.

As soon as she finished speaking, a student behind each recruitment teacher from all institutions stepped forward and proceeded to the space below.

Amith turned with a smile to the girl behind him, saying with a smile. "Aanya, you head over too."

The girl chuckled. "Mm!"

Once everyone was in place below, Lara raised her hand and grabbed the air, conjuring a orange wand in her hand.

At the sight of that orange light, the newly promoted professionals could not help but gasp in amazement.

Orange! Which represents Epic Level quality!

In the formation of Eatie Academy, Bhavin Agnihotri also couldn't help but click his tongue slightly. He muttered in a low voice. "As expected of a professor from Btira Academy, bringing out an epic weapon right off of start, truly remarkable."

One must know that Epic Level weapons can only possibly be obtained from large-scale raid instances, each epic weapon's production causing a bloody storm in the instance.

Once an epic weapon leaves a large-scale raid instance, it becomes bound to the professional, rendering it unusable by anyone else even if obtained.

Therefore, to acquire Epic Equipment, one must engage in fierce competition in the raid instance.

With the weapon in hand, a low murmur of spells quickly flowed from Lara's mouth.

Then, Lara shouted in a low voice. "Refraction Illusion Mirror!"

She swung the wand forward, and a layer of brilliant golden light shot out, landing on the student representatives from each academy on the open ground.

Next, their bodies jolted slightly, as if a golden shadow stepped out from within them, standing before them.

Lara swung her wand again, casting another layer of golden light over them.

The golden silhouettes, illuminated by the golden light, slowly melded, expanding into a huge, semi-transparent light mirror. In the light mirror, a golden silhouette seemed to there.

As her gaze swept across these light mirrors, Lara said solemnly. "Now, I will announce the rules of this selection conference."

Hearing Lara's voice, Bhavin Agnihotri's expression became more serious.

He knew that although the university selection tournament was held once a year, the selection rules were different each time.

Lara glanced at the newcomers below, her voice calm, yet everyone could hear her clearly.

"These students in front of you are the outstanding ones from the previous year's freshmen of each academy."

"And in the Light Mirrors before them, there is a silhouette of themselves. The silhouette can use all their abilities, but its overall strength is only half of the original."

"Each of you has three chances to enter the Light Mirror, and if you can hold out for 3 minutes under the attacks of the silhouette, you will gain the qualification to enter the academy represented by that student."

At this point, Lara paused slightly, then continued, "I must remind you that the representatives of different academies have vastly different levels and strengths."

"The number on the badge on each academy representative's indicates that student's current level."

"Therefore, think carefully before making your choice, otherwise, if the opponent you choose exceeds your capability, it would be equivalent to wasting a chance."
