It's probably why Tony doesn't like leaving things alone. The fact Hammer not only copy the arc reactor, He also dare to challenge Tony. Oh, You sweet summer child.
Tony didn't hesitate to shut Hammer down, Everyone to be exact, No one dares to even lift a finger. When he gets serious, You better pray he doesn't come after you. The moment he return back with Sirius from UK, Pepper called him.
Immediately, Tony get to work, shut down Hammer for good, Take care of pesky Reporters, upgrade JARVIS and lastly these agencies. Yes, Life was wonderful.
Hammer is in prison—where he belongs for trying to attack one of his employee and at Tony as well with his stupid invention.
Sirius, meanwhile, busied himself with plans to rebuild the Black mansion—this time in New York. "A fresh start," he'd told Tony. "Somewhere the neighbors don't mind a bit of fire."
A few days passed in relative peace. Harry's letters arrived regularly, and Tony and Sirius would read them together, Sirius always grinning like a proud uncle. Tony would feel calm and assured he's doing fine.
That's when things take a turn, Not even Ancient One would had predicted, Something is happening, And it is happening too fast. Not even the Time stone can give her the answers.
However, She doesn't interrupt, She stay and waits. Whatever is going on, It must be for good reasons. However, She hopes it doesn't ends up putting danger to reality as they know.
One morning, as Tony was preparing to attend a car race, Jarvis' voice interrupted through the lab speakers. "Sir, I have detected a rather large magical reading in New Mexico—specifically in the desert region"
Tony paused, wrench still in hand. "Magical reading? What do you mean, Jarvis?"
Jarvis' tone remained level but carried a note of curiosity. "It appears to be some sort of concentrated magical signature, unlike any we have recorded before. It spiked rapidly, then remained at a constant high level."
Tony frowned, wiping his hands on a rag. "Cancel the race. Call Sirius—tell him to get down here."
Within the hour, Sirius was standing beside Tony in the lab, arms crossed and brow furrowed. He eyed the glowing holographic screens with suspicion. "Still not used to this technology stuff," he muttered, giving a side-eye to the hologram.
Tony smirked. "That's because it's brilliant and too advanced for your medieval wizard brain."
Sirius rolled his eyes. "Gosh, thanks. Now what's this about magic in the desert?"
Jarvis' voice spoke up again. "Sir, the anomaly originated near a satellite crash site in New Mexico, which local authorities have now cordoned off. Analysis of the videos suggests the object in question is… a hammer."
Tony leaned in, intrigued. "A hammer?"
Jarvis displayed footage of locals and a few scientists at the site, all of them struggling—and failing—to lift the hammer embedded in the desert floor. "Indeed, sir. No one, has been able to move it. Its presence coincides with a sharp rise in magical readings."
Sirius barked a laugh. "A hammer no one can lift? Sounds like a wizard's idea of a prank."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "That's a big prank. What's the reading, Jarvis?"
Jarvis displayed a fluctuating graph. "The hammer's arrival was accompanied by a massive burst of magical energy—off the charts. Additionally, a secondary magical signature appeared approximately two hours later, consistent with a space-time distortion or portal."
Tony's brow furrowed. "A space portal? Like interdimensional travel?" Wow, that's interesting.
Jarvis responded, "It is the closest to what I can tell, sir. The data suggests that the hammer's arrival triggered a tear in space, or something akin to it."
Tony whistled. "Well, that's interesting." He turned to Sirius. "Looks like we're heading to New Mexico. Think your magic can help me figure out what's going on with this hammer?"
Sirius grinned, eyes alight. "Only one way to find out" Even he is curious about this hammer, Welp! At least it won't be bored around here!
After Tony gathered his suit and essentials, he decided to skip the private jet this time. Instead, he called Pepper to let her know he wouldn't make it to the car race event. "Sorry, Pep," he said, a tinge of regret in his voice. "Something's come up—gotta check out a new development."
"You always have some development," she teased, but he could hear the underlying worry in her voice.
Tony chuckled softly. "Don't worry. I'll be back soon."
Meanwhile, Sirius had a Portkey ready—a battered old teapot, of all things. With a grin, Sirius said, "Ready?"
Tony eyed the object warily. "Seriously? A teapot? I'm a billionaire. Couldn't you pick something less—British?"
Sirius just smirked. "Trust me, this works."
Before Tony could protest further, Sirius activated the Portkey. The world spun, and they landed in the middle of the New Mexico desert—Tony face-planting into the sand with a muffled curse.
Sirius burst into laughter. "Merlin's beard, Tony—you look like a sand sculpture."
Tony scrambled up, brushing sand from his clothes, scowling. "I'm going to hex you in your sleep." He swore if he knew ANY way to do magic, He will fucking do it.
Sirius wiped tears of laughter from his eyes. "No you're not—because you can't." He winked. "Now, come on."
Tony grumbled, but he grabbed his suitcase and followed Sirius into the small town nearby. The place was a typical desert outpost—dusty roads, battered signs, and a breakfast bar that looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 80s.
"Let's grab a drink," Sirius said, wiping sweat from his brow. "I'm parched."
"Right," Tony said. "A wizard who can conjure water is thirsty in the desert."
"I like my drinks cold and with a slice of lemon. Magic can't always replicate that."
Rolling his eyes, Tony pushed open the door to the breakfast bar. The place was half-empty, with a few locals scattered around. But one face caught Tony's attention instantly.
"Erik Selvig?" Tony blurted out, blinking.
The older man looked up, surprised. "Tony Stark?" He stood, clearly taken aback. "Well, this is… unexpected."
Sirius raised an eyebrow. "You know him?"
Tony nodded. "Yeah—met him at a few physics conferences. Brilliant guy. A bit too fond of bad taste in wine but still brilliant."
Selvig chuckled. "Guilty as charged." He gestured for them to sit. "What brings you all the way out here?"
Tony took a seat, placing his suitcase on the floor. "Heard about some strange readings and decided to investigate." He gave Selvig a knowing look. "Anything you want to share?"
Sirius took the seat next to Tony, eyes gleaming. "And maybe some water with that," he added.
Selvig laughed nervously. "Well, it's been… an interesting week."
Tony leaned back in his chair, a slow smile spreading across his face. "I bet."
