Chapter 51 - Chapter 51: Leave No One Behind

Shao Yun slapped the man's cheek, the force increasing with each strike, as if venting the fury boiling within him. 'You're lucky... because you get to live a little longer…'

His voice was cold and merciless, a grim proclamation of the fate awaiting this Fatui officer.

At that moment, Lisa sensed something was wrong. She rushed to intervene, but she was a second too late.

Shao Yun suddenly roared, "The rest of you—go to hell!"

As his words fell, his Vision flared to life, releasing a blinding light.

The cowboy revolver in Shao Yun's hand erupted with terrifying power. Each burst of gunfire was like the scythe of death, mercilessly harvesting the remaining Fatui soldiers.

Explosions roared one after another. Flesh and blood flew, and the scene turned into a gruesome massacre.

The Fatui screamed and struggled in the storm of bullets, but none could escape their fate. Their bodies were blown apart, blood splattering everywhere, dyeing the ground a deep crimson.

The surrounding knights stood frozen in shock, watching in stunned silence as Shao Yun unleashed a bloodbath.

After eliminating the rest of the Fatui, Shao Yun's eyes showed no emotion.

Lisa stared in horror, shouting, "What are you doing?!"

Hearing her question, Shao Yun's emotions flared. He turned to face Lisa and shouted, "What am I doing? Look at the knights lying there, who will never get up again! Look into the eyes of that fifteen-year-old girl! Then you ask me again!"

Lisa was speechless, choked by his words. She looked at the knights lying in pools of blood, her heart filled with sorrow and rage. But this...

Shao Yun took a deep breath, calming himself. He spun the revolver, twirling it into a flourish before holstering it with a cold remark: "Was I too friendly back in the library, Lisa? Did that make you think I wouldn't kill?"

As his words fell, the air around them seemed to freeze.

Lisa looked at him, her emotions a storm of confusion. She knew Shao Yun wasn't a heartless man, yet now he seemed like a stranger—cold and terrifying.

Shao Yun turned and grabbed the collar of the lone surviving Fatui soldier, lifting him like a corpse. A sneer crept across his lips.

"We're going to meet your friends."

Kaeya, seeing this, felt a surge of anxiety and quickly stepped forward to block Shao Yun, hoping to prevent the storm that was about to explode.

"You're insane. Calm down!"

But Shao Yun didn't seem interested in peace. He lightly patted Kaeya's shoulder and, holding up two fingers, said with a tone that bordered on disbelief:

"First, it's already generous of me not to settle scores with you, Kaeya. Second, they've stabbed us in the back! And you can still tolerate this? What—did you take fifty thousand Mora from the Fatui under the table?"

Kaeya was left speechless, especially at the final jab. He had indeed been keeping a few secrets.

In the end, he silently stepped aside, watching as Shao Yun dragged the survivor toward the Goth Grand Hotel.

Kaeya looked over at Lisa and said with concern, "Lisa… I think I need to start collecting corpses."

Shao Yun's hand gripped the revolver's handle tightly. The cold muzzle was pressed against the back of the surviving Fatui soldier, forcing him to lead the way as Shao Yun followed toward the hotel.

Lisa and Kaeya led a team of knights behind them, keeping about fifty meters' distance.

Curious Mondstadt citizens peeked out of their homes, some bold enough to trail behind the knights to see what was going on.

When Shao Yun reached the Goth Grand Hotel, he kicked the Fatui soldier in front of him to the ground and fired a shot into the sky, shouting loudly:

"You bastards better get the hell out here! You blind sons of bitches! You think I'm merciful?!"

His voice echoed before the hotel doors, laced with fury and authority.

When no one came out, he kept cursing.

"You dared to ambush the Knights of Favonius during an Abyss invasion?! Killed so many people! Broke a fifteen-year-old girl's heart!"

"You better start marking your height and weight, so I know what size coffins to order!"

As the Fatui inside the hotel remained silent, Shao Yun's rage intensified.

He suddenly drew his second revolver, now holding one in each hand. His aura was overwhelming as he roared, "Not coming out? Fine!"

As soon as he finished, he pulled the trigger. With a thunderous bang, a bullet shattered one of the hotel's windows.

Glass burst apart with a piercing shatter.

But Shao Yun didn't stop. He kept firing. Bullet after bullet rained down on the hotel windows. Glass exploded in all directions, shards dancing in the air with sharp, clear tones.

Soon, every window was shattered.

Just then, a mocking voice came from inside: "You think you're something special? You're just a nobody! How dare you stand in the way of the Fatui! Do you even know what we're capable of?"

Shao Yun responded without fear: "Then show me! Come out and stop dragging your damn feet! Your days in Mondstadt are over! Get out here!"

There was a brief silence, then a different voice responded, trembling slightly.

"We've dealt with worse than you before. We survived!"

They tried to intimidate Shao Yun with past victories, but he remained unfazed.

"You think past experience means anything now?" Shao Yun sneered. "Today, I'm going to show you what it means when there's always someone stronger!"

The Fatui inside seemed angered by his tone. A deep male voice bellowed, "We do whatever we want! If we choose to, Mondstadt will fall into the hands of Snezhnaya! The Fatui will rule here!"

Hearing their arrogance, Shao Yun didn't flinch. He opened his arms and mockingly looked around, shouting:

"From where I'm standing, the only Fatui left..."

He paused and pointed at the hotel's main entrance.

"...are you!"

A few minutes passed. Then, a reply finally came from inside the hotel.

"You want us to come out? Fine!"

With those words, the heavy doors of the Goth Grand Hotel slowly creaked open.

Three Fatui emerged, each of a different build—tall, short, thin, fat—but all masked, like emotionless machines.

One of them, resembling a Pyroslinger Bracer, held a girl hostage. Upon closer look—it was Amber!

Her clothes were disheveled, her face full of fury and defiance. Her bright eyes glared at the Fatui with unwavering hatred.

"Let me go, you damn Fatui scum!" Amber struggled, trying to break free, but her strength was no match for the well-trained soldiers.

Shao Yun stood in place, watching Amber being held hostage—and completely snapped.

Still resisting surrender? Still baring their fangs? They were clearly underestimating him.

He grabbed the lone surviving Fatui from earlier and kicked him toward his comrades.

The one who was kicked stumbled back in surprise, then looked at Shao Yun and, seeing no reaction, broke into a joyful grin.

He struggled to his feet and rushed over to the three others, overwhelmed with the thrill of survival.

Standing next to them, he looked smugly at Shao Yun and mocked, "You just made a huge mistake. You gave up your trump card! You're a fool!"

But Shao Yun's expression didn't change. He calmly looked at the man, lips curled into a cold smile.

"Yeah, I'm real dumb. So dumb, I didn't even consider negotiating."

His tone was flat, but the chill in it was unmistakable. The smiles of the Fatui froze. A dark premonition gripped their hearts.

Just because you survive disaster once… doesn't mean you're safe next time.

Shao Yun flicked his right wrist, took a deep breath, activated his Vision, and suddenly drew his revolver. Four swift pulls of the trigger.

To outsiders, it sounded like a single deafening bang—but each bullet hit its mark precisely.

The four Fatui clutched their necks simultaneously. Blood seeped through their fingers, faces twisted in pain and terror.

Amber seized the chance to break free. She staggered back to Shao Yun's side.

He immediately asked, "You, okay?"

Amber rubbed her sore neck and forced a smile. "I'm fine. Just got caught off guard."

Glancing at the still-suffering Fatui, she asked, "What's wrong with them…?"

Shao Yun didn't answer directly. Instead, he began a countdown. "Three, two, one—boom."

The moment the word left his lips, his Vision flashed.

Flames suddenly erupted on the four Fatui. They screamed in agony, rolling on the ground, but the fire only burned fiercer, soon consuming them entirely.

Shao Yun glanced toward the hotel. The lights were still on—there were definitely more inside.

"Are there still Fatui in there?"

Amber nodded. "Yes!"

Shao Yun's eyes glinted coldly. He was about to charge in but hesitated, thinking of potential innocents.

He double-checked: "There's no innocent hotel staff left inside, right?"

Amber shook her head firmly. "They cleared the place. All guests and workers were forced out. Only Fatui remain."

With that confirmation, all his concerns vanished.

He holstered his revolver and pulled the pump-action shotgun from his back.

"Perfect. Amber, let Goth know—I'll pay him back for this!"

With those words, he stormed into the hotel without hesitation.

The moment he stepped into the lobby, the sound of gunfire and explosions intertwined with screams—the hotel was transformed into a literal hell.

Wails rang out as mangled bodies were flung out the windows.

Amber, Lisa, Kaeya, and the other knights watched in shock.

They couldn't even imagine what horrors were happening inside.

When a torso was hurled from a second-floor window, several knights couldn't take it anymore and vomited their dinners.

Eventually, Shao Yun dragged out the last living Fatui by the collar, throwing him onto the ground.

"You're going to die horribly. Her Ladyship will—" The man tried to threaten Shao Yun, but the carnage outside silenced him. He was too terrified to continue.

Shao Yun slung the shotgun on his back and drew a dagger, coldly slapping the man's face.

"You stabbed us when Mondstadt was weakest, made Noelle cry, threatened me with Amber. You should've known your fate."

The Fatui growled, "Her Ladyship will crush you like a bug."

But Shao Yun wasn't fazed. His voice was cold, terrifying.

"Oh, I'm so scared. I'll kill her too! Got any last words?"

The Fatui spat his final curse: "You devil… may you die a miserable—"

Before he could finish, Shao Yun drove the dagger into his throat and twisted upward.

Blood sprayed. The man clutched his neck, struggled—and died.

Shao Yun gazed coldly at the corpse, rage still burning in his heart. He spread his arms and spun once in place, as if declaring to the world:

"Listen up, all you Fatui still hiding in the shadows—I'll drag each of you out, rip out your eyes, cut off your heads, and hang them from the walls!"

His voice echoed through the night, thick with murderous intent. The surrounding knights, overwhelmed by his presence, lowered their heads, unable to meet his gaze.
