Chapter 85 - The Coming Storm!

If Red Queen hadn't shattered Russell's telepathy-blocking helmet, he might not have switched to the Shadow King template.

After all, he was used to solving battles with his fists.

"Well done, Red Queen!"

Seeing Russell's helmet shattered high in the sky, and then him seemingly losing consciousness and falling from the sky, Mr. Sinister was overjoyed.

"Russell?" Wanda's expression changed. She waved her hand, releasing Chaos Magic to sweep away a group of attacking Sinister's Children, then flew into the sky to catch the falling Russell.

"Thanks," Russell said with a light chuckle as Wanda caught him in her arms and they landed on the ground. "You saved me again."

"What's wrong, Russell?"

Wanda's face flushed as she asked with concern.

Russell seemed to have lost his ability to fly.

"I'm fine," Russell waved his hand. A group of Sinister's Children deformed their bodies, their bones turning into spears, swords, and blades, as they lunged at him with bared fangs and claws.

Swoosh!

Russell's two heat visions swept across, cutting the bodies of the Sinister's Children in half at the waist, their blood staining the ground.

Then, he unhurriedly switched back to the Captain Marvel template.

"She did that?"

Wanda's sharp gaze shot towards the sky. She clenched her fists, ready to rush up and fight Red Queen.

She noticed that Russell's telepathy-blocking helmet was shattered and assumed Russell must have suffered from a psychic attack.

"It's fine now,"

Russell motioned for her not to worry.

"Now she's on our side."

"Our side?" Wanda was startled.

High in the sky, Red Queen turned around, her hair flying, still imposing, but when she waved her hand to release a psychic shockwave, she was no longer attacking Russell and the others.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The heads of a group of Sinister's Children exploded one after another, their minds annihilated, and their headless bodies fell like mud.

"What are you doing, Madelyne!"

Mr. Sinister looked shocked.

Such situations had happened before; Red Queen, cold and arrogant, sometimes used the Sinister's Children he created as tools for venting, casually killing them.

But she wouldn't even consider the current situation!

"I'm doing what I should be doing: eliminating enemies for the supreme Infinitoid,"

Red Queen's cold and emotionless voice echoed across the entire battlefield.

"What?"

Mr. Sinister was astonished, wondering if he had misheard something.

Or if he had been subjected to a psychic attack and was hallucinating.

But as one of the most powerful telepaths on Earth, who could make him fall into a hallucination without him noticing?

Bang!

"You're crazy, Madelyne! I created you!"

A solid steel cannonball whistled through the air and struck him. Mr. Sinister barely managed to block it.

As one of the most powerful Mutants on Earth, Mr. Sinister's strength was certainly great, but there was still a considerable gap between him and Magneto.

He was no match for Magneto, let alone Russell.

Mr. Sinister had been counting on Red Queen to take down Russell, then help him defeat Magneto, but now his only remaining reliance was gone.

"You're finished today, you bug!" Magneto was surprised. Although he didn't know what was going on, he could guess that Russell had done it.

With the situation in his favor, he immediately pressed the attack.

Steel fragments bombarded him, shattering Mr. Sinister's telekinetic shield. His entire body was battered and riddled with holes.

Mr. Sinister's body moved like a puddle of mud, still trying to reassemble itself.

Red Queen extended her hand.

A massive sphere of telekinetic energy condensed, trapping Mr. Sinister inside and drawing him over remotely.

"Let go of me, Madelyne! How dare you betray your creator!"

Mr. Sinister was furious; his mental power was completely unable to break through Red Queen's restrictions.

"Do you have any last words?"

Russell sneered.

"No, no… How did you do it? Impossible!

How could Madelyn's consciousness be altered?"

Now a prisoner, with his Mutant subordinates recruited over the years and his manufactured clones being slaughtered by Magneto's Brotherhood and others, Mr. Sinister looked at the young man before him with shock and anger.

Although there were many legends about Infinitoid.

He never expected Russell to be able to do such a thing.

Brainwashing the most powerful telepath on Earth? This almost fantastical event actually happened right before him!

And it happened in such a short time.

"Nothing is impossible. You're just inexperienced,"

Russell reached out and controlled a piece of steel to fly over. First, he manipulated and transformed the material, then in the blink of an eye, a large sphere with an outer layer of psychic-insulating alloy and an inner core of Adamantium was formed.

"Get in there. It's really not easy to properly imprison a guy like you. Cherish your remaining time in this sphere."

His eyes were icy cold.

He estimated that when he released Mr. Sinister again, it would be to solidify the Rogue template and devour Mr. Sinister's life energy like a snack.

"No, no, I don't want to go in.

Listen, we can cooperate.

Do you want to live forever? I've lived for nearly two hundred years."

The giant iron sphere split open, revealing a pitch-black interior. Red Queen obediently prepared to put Mr. Sinister inside.

Mr. Sinister's face was grim, his eyes darting rapidly. He hastily explained his usefulness to Russell, still trying to negotiate terms with him.

"I can help you transplant Mutant genes so you can have more abilities. I can help you create a clone army. I know what you want to do; you and Magneto want to establish a Mutant Nation.

No human government in the World will sit idly by and watch you succeed and contend with the human World…"

"Wait a moment…"

Russell waved his hand, and Red Queen immediately paused her actions.

"Now that you mention it, you do have some use."

He stroked his chin, scrutinizing Mr. Sinister.

Russell thought of the many things Mr. Sinister could do. Currently, Genosha's defensive forces were very weak, with only him, Wanda, Magneto, and Red Tank being truly formidable.

Other Mutants were one less with each death.

"But you, leaving you here would be like keeping a jackal by your side, constantly plotting to stab you in the back. I need to clear out those restless thoughts of yours first."

"You… what are you going to do!"

Seeing Russell's attitude waver, the surprise in Mr. Sinister's eyes froze. He glanced at Red Queen, who stood expressionless like a Robot, and a chill ran down his spine.

"Haven't you already guessed?"

Russell's lips curved into a cold smile.

[Apply Shadow King Template]

Without Red Queen and Mr. Sinister, the remaining Mutants were just a bunch of weaklings. Magneto quickly dealt with them, capturing a large number.

And Russell successfully brainwashed Mr. Sinister.

"Sir…"

Mr. Sinister was released and stood respectfully to the side like a servant.

"As expected of a scientist who has lived for over a century, and a paranoid madman at that. His mental will is much stronger than Red Queen's."

Having expended a lot of mental energy, Russell tapped his forehead.

The power consumed to brainwash Mr. Sinister was almost more than that used to brainwash Red Queen.

If Mr. Sinister possessed Red Queen's psychic power, it would have been absolutely impossible for him to brainwash this guy, and today would have undoubtedly ended in a major battle.

"Are you sure you want to keep him, Russell?"

Magneto's cape flowed like an ancient Roman senator's toga. With a kingly demeanor, he walked over and looked at the sinister-looking Mr. Sinister with concern.

"This guy…

If it wasn't for You today, we might all have fallen here!"

Although this battle ended quickly, almost a complete victory, Magneto did not underestimate Mr. Sinister at all. This guy's cunning and strength were top-notch.

Their side won so easily, all because of Russell.

Otherwise…

Magneto thought of the moment he suddenly lost his abilities earlier and felt a lingering sense of fear.

This battle ended quickly, with Mr. Sinister being subdued by Red Queen, the powerful weapon he deeply relied on, making him look like a Joker.

In reality, Mr. Sinister's strategy was cunning and insidious.

In a different scenario, Magneto admitted that even if ten or even a hundred enraged Magnetos had come together today, they would have been hard-pressed to escape death.

Who would have thought that Mr. Sinister had a means to block Mutant abilities over a wide area?

"Russell, he…"

Wanda also looked at Mr. Sinister with concern.

"If he has truly lived that long and is a powerful telepath, his mastery in the psychic domain and his experience in using his abilities might even surpass Professor X."

Who knows if Mr. Sinister, who was now bowing his head in obedience, was merely temporarily hiding, only to bare his fangs from behind them one day.

"Relax, he's no longer a threat to us,"

Russell reassured them both.

During their recent psychic confrontation, when Mr. Sinister could no longer resist, he actually tried to feign complete brainwashing, transforming his consciousness into a seed and hiding it in the deepest part of his mind, waiting for it to automatically unseal in the future.

An ordinary person might not have noticed, and would inevitably have been backstabbed later.

But when it came to manipulating the mind, Shadow King, a mental entity born from the dark side of human emotions in the Multiverse, was the true master.

Mr. Sinister's hundred-plus years of experience weren't even worth a hair; his little tricks were as clumsy and laughable as a child's.

In Mr. Sinister's despairing psychic fluctuations, his last deeply hidden consciousness seed was crushed.

"Let's go, let's go back.

With this guy, we'll soon have a Mutant clone army."

Russell, confident that Mr. Sinister was thoroughly brainwashed, patted the obedient Mr. Sinister on the shoulder.

"I have a premonition that establishing our Mutant Nation won't be that simple."

After all, in the comics, shortly after Genosha was established, a Sentinel army suddenly attacked the island, slaughtering sixteen million Mutants.

Moreover, especially with several nuclear missile incidents recently, where the World was almost destroyed because of Mutants, humanity's nerves are even more sensitive now.

Perhaps they won't even allow a Mutant Nation to be established before launching a devastating strike.

"A storm is brewing…" A gust of wind lifted a corner of his cape, and Russell stood with his hands behind his back, gazing at the horizon.
