Wednesday – 7:20 AM
Kazuki runs through the camp halls barefoot, hair a mess, eyes wild.
Every thought slips from his head and warps the hallway behind him.
A poster of safety regulations turns into a wanted sign with his face on it.
A do-not-enter sign becomes a mouth.
It whispers, "She's gone because of you."
He doesn't stop.
Control Room – Ten Minutes Later
Natsuki stares at the monitors.
"Kazuki's destabilizing. Cognitive field has expanded by 300%. He's warping reality just by moving."
A junior staffer yells, "We need to sedate him!"
"No," Natsuki says. "We need to give him what he lost."
"But Aya's already been transferred—"
"Then find her," she growls. "Or he'll crack the whole camp open like an egg."
Outside – East Woods
Kazuki keeps running.
He doesn't know where he's going.
Only what he wants.
"Aya. Aya. Aya. Aya—"
The air in front of him folds.
A shape steps out of it.
A girl in black. Hooded. Calm. Pale eyes.
She looks at him like she already knows him.
"You're Haruma Kazuki," she says.
He blinks. "Do I know you?"
"No," she says. "But I know your curse."
He hesitates.
"You're like me."
Her name is Yume.
She sits with him by a cracked fountain where the water floats upward now.
"I had your power once," she says. "Made a world out of my thoughts. Lived in it. Loved it."
"…And then?"
"It turned on me. Because it wasn't real."
Kazuki's throat tightens.
She looks at him.
"You're still lucky. You have someone real."
He closes his eyes.
"…They took her away."
She stands.
"Then take her back."
Meanwhile – Aya
She's locked in a holding room far from camp.
She's not afraid.
She's furious.
"I swear to God," she mutters, "if they broke that idiot's brain—"
The guard shifts.
"I don't think you understand," he says. "You're destabilizing his treatment. He can't rely on you."
Aya smiles sweetly.
"Is that why his powers only spike when I'm gone?"
He hesitates.
"You're just a civilian."
"I'm the only one keeping his brain from turning the moon into boobs."
Pause.
"…Fair."
Back at Camp
Kazuki walks through the field.
Everything he passes changes:
Trees turn into street lamps.
Grass becomes tatami mats.
A vending machine sings "Happy Birthday."
He doesn't notice.
He's focused.
Yume walks beside him.
She guides him to the staff building.
Inside, Natsuki waits.
"I know you're angry," she says.
Kazuki doesn't speak.
"I didn't want her gone. It was… above me."
Still silence.
"But I have coordinates."
She slides a folder forward.
Kazuki takes it.
Yume tilts her head. "That easy?"
Natsuki meets her eyes.
"Because he'll come back. And I want to see what happens when he stops running from it."
Final Scene – Train Station Outside Camp
Kazuki waits on the platform.
The folder in his hand. The world behind him still humming from the psychic storm he left behind.
Yume stands beside him.
"You're different from me," she says.
"How?"
"You're still scared of your thoughts."
He looks at her.
"And you're not?"
She smiles faintly.
"No. I'm scared of what happens when they stop."
