The first day of the last year of the school ended like that. And Ariana and Keth were silent in bus. But the real problem arisen when Three of the kids came back from school.
Max's uniform was torn apart. Noah had bruises on his face and Thea was not talking at all. My eyes widen the moment I saw them. What could have happened? I leaned towards them and asked
"Who did this?"
Max avoided my gaze while Noah and Thea were sobbing in Theo's arms. I quickly dialled a phone number and called
"Come right now."
The next moment Avaya and Diana were there. Not by them self but with 60 other people all with some kind of weapon in their hands. I showed Avaya and Diana the kids. Their eyes widen as well. Diana leaned down and asked Max
"Can you tell your auntie who did this?"
Max who was silent until now hugged Diana and said
"It is Chris. He says that me and my siblings doesn't deserve to be in the school. He beat us."
I looked at Theo and said
"Honey, wait here I will be come back soon."
Theo nodded. Diana gave Max to Theo. Avaya looked at me and said
"Contact the school board first."
I did as she said, I contacted the school board only to found out that anything which happens out side the school with not be taken. Even the school bus. I sighed and told them
"We have to handle it ourselves."
I had known that Chris was the one who was bullying Max for some time. But today it came out of hand. Chris was the one of the sons of a rich woman. He was actually a great friend of Max always supporting him until he found out that I and Theo means Max's parents are in high school. At first, he saw it as normal until his mother told him that it is abnormal and is a bad thing. She was correct to the fact that it is abnormal and it is bad. But she actually meant it for me but Chris took it to another level and bullied Max. I tried to reach out to Chris's parents but it turns out that Chris is living with his relatives as his parents died in car accident shortly after he met me. He probably thought that Max was the reason of his unluckiness and bullied him. I tried to ignore and support Max but it only grew. But now it is out of the hand.
I looked at Avaya and Diana and told them about Chris. Avaya was silent until she said
"Well, if that's the case. You should first try to contact the relatives. We will do something if they didn't do anything."
I nodded. After that I decided to have a meeting with Roseberry family. I contacted my secretary and told her to schedule a meeting with them. She nodded and silently cut the line. I sighed and turn to Avaya and Diana
"You can go now. I will handle this."
Diana and Avaya looked at each other and said to me
"Tell us if you need help."
I nodded. The whole 60 people army vanished from my house after a minute. I sighed and said to Theo who had succeeded in calming the kids
"It seems that some thing is fishy."
He was confused and asked
"Why?"
I sighed and said
"You didn't know but I had known Chris's mother. She was my relative but she cut all relation to our family long ago. Plus, I don't think that her in-law is type of people who will take Chris into care. So, something must be wrong."
Theo looked even more confused as he said
"But, how come I didn't know a relative of you?"
I sighed and said
"Well, she was an adoptive and a nightmare. So, no one acknowledge her."
Theo sighed and said
"That's why you let the previous incidents go."
I nodded. After that I spent my rest of the day making the kids happy. It was really hard for them to be happy if we see. They were not picky but it is hard to tell whether my kids like or dislike anything.
But one thing that they are always excited about is Blackwells. Blackwells are my one of the older friends' kids. We are pretty close and see each other often that's why our kids are also pretty close. They are friends since very early age. I leaned down to Thea's height and said
"We are going to Blackwells."
Thea who was sobbing became happy and excited. Noah and Max were no different. I drove to Blackwells house which was just few streets away. Well, all the time I had to put on a happy smiling face to cheer up my kids but I really wasn't happy. I was a just a little sad.
We reached Blackwells in few second. When we reached there, I saw Seraphina my older friend, in the front yard sipping the cup of tea and reading a book. She saw us and stud up with a soft smile. She greeted us with the same soft smile that I have seen for over 10 years of our friendship. Shortly after that her three children came out to play with my kids.
She had three children just like me. Two girls and one boy. Her eldest child is Helen second child is Rika and the youngest the boy his name is Roove. While, our kids were busy playing I told Seraphina about the bullying and everything. She was actually one of the people from school board. She sighed and said
"You can actually complain even if it is outside the school. If you complain it to police, the issue will still directly come to school anyways as the bully is from the school. You just need evidence."
I sighed and said
"I have plenty of evidence. I am just hanging things to see if something is fishy."
"What fishy?"
She asked. I told her everything that I knew about my cousin and her in-laws. She just sighed and said
"No worry, if something is happening inside Roseberry family. That will help us to take the family down."
"Take the family down?"
I asked. Her mood shifted dark as she said
"You don't know but Roseberry family is suspected to abuse their children."
The moment I heard that my heart sank. Chris was my cousin's son. How could I let him face the hell. But I will play it legally this time.
We were at the Blackwells house till evening before the dinner. My kids seemed a little sad when parting ways from them. The rest of the day went like that.
It was the next day when Max, Noah and Thea insistent on going to school when I said that they can take a leave if wanted
"It is the second day, mom! What if teacher says something important!"
said Max. I thought that after getting bullied by Chris they still want to go to school I'm happy. I smiled while I waved good bye to my kids going away in the bus. Theo hugged me from behind and said
"I'm worried."
I sighed and said
"I'm worried too but they wanted to go."
After that we got dressed and took our bus to our school. I started the daily gossip section with Arya. The gossip section is the goldmine in this school. Gossip could also be used as weapon some times. While I was still Gossiping and chatting, Arya said
"Avion, did you know that Keth was actually dating some one!?"
I thought that she was talking about Ariana and I said
"Yeah, he is still dating Ariana, right?"
Arya shook her head and said as colours from my face drained
"No, it is rumoured that he is dating a student from another school. It is said that her name is Nina. She is in student council, apparently."
Nina was my Sibling-in-law! How could that be? I put on a curious face and asked
"Can you tell me more?"
Arya told me each bit of information that she knew. After the whole Nina thing Kylie came. She greeted us as usual and asked
"What are you guys talking about?"
Arya told her the fresh bloody news
"Keth is rumoured to be dating some one called Nina."
Kylie also understood at some point. Kylie is my childhood friend if we see. She knows about my family tree a lot. She turned to me with a concerned face and asked
"Isn't Nina your Sibling-in-law?"
I sighed and muttered
"Yeah."
The new realisation dawned on Arya. She asked shaking
"That… That means"
"Yes"
I said. She was talking about my family tree. Nina is my Sibling-in-law or rather cousin-in-law. She is my cousin's wife and she still is in school but only one year younger than me. I sighed and said
"Let's pause this topic here. I will check once I get home."
Arya and Kylie nodded in agreement and after that we were talking about another topic. We reached high school in few minutes and we parted ways.
I walked towards classroom A with my husband when Avaya hugged me from behind. That hug almost caused me to trip and fall. Avaya said in her usual tone
"Good morning."
I returned the greetings with a smile. The second day of the Classroom A was not bad. The only thing that really weirds me out is that the girls in Classroom A have…A quite older standards. The whisper about how handsome Sir jack is. Okay it is normal that people will talk about you if you are beautiful or handsome but these girls really are something. One student even said openly that she would not hesitate to marry Sir jack and I'm pretty sure that the lady has only met Sir jack yesterday.
Let's put Sir jack thing aside and the real problem would rather be Ariana. That Bitch ignored me and flied around Avaya like a bee. Well, Avaya is pretty good at ignoring so she just kept ignoring Ariana until she flied back at her lover, Keth. But the morning incident still irritates me like hell. Is Nina a two-timer? I don't know. And most of all Keth, did he not know that Nina is married like you can still see her wedding ring in her finger.
I sighed and sat in cafeteria to eat my lunch when Diana sat beside me and asked
"Did Max and other still go to school?"
I nodded. She out of no where said
"Avion, what happen?"
I turned to her and said
"Well it is nothing."
"You can tell me."
Diana pressed on. I gave up and said
"You know Nina."
She nodded.
"I got a rumour that Keth is dating Nina."
Avaya who was listening to us and drinking water spat out the water the instant.
"She is married right?"
Asked Avaya
"Yes."
I answered. I have nothing to say at that moment. The silence was still there until Henry interrupted and said
"Guys, what is happening?"
Avaya just shook her head and said
"You don't know."
Henry after hearing that just go and joined his gang to talk about something. While, me, Avaya, Diana and Theo were at a complete loss of words. Diana looks away only to find something interesting and said
"Look guys, over there."
We looked and what we saw was a very rare sight. Avaya smirked as she said
"Well, well. Avion don't worry I'm sure that either Keth will regret getting his hands on your Sibling-in-law or she will regret two-timing on her husband. I'm very sure of it."
I sighed.
