Scene 1
Eight months have passed since Ron's and Carter's visit to Sami's House. Carter was focused on his missions. While Ron trained and gained a few new abilities.
Now Present
-Carter
For the last eight months, I have been focusing on my missions. One day, I decided to take a break from these missions. I was thinking about a good place to eat. Suddenly, I got a text from Ron. He shared a location and said to go to that location. I grabbed my car keys and headed to that location.
It was top level restaurant. I entered, a saw a female, she asked if I was Carter. I told her that I am Carter. She escorted me to table no. 26. I saw Ron sitting there, smiling. I sat down and asked,
"Why have you called me here? It's the top restaurant."
"You know how rich I am. Well, I called you here because I heard the recent news. Your department is trying to hide it. I wanted to ask about that". Ron replied.
"Very well, you are a trusted guy. That news was about a crew that was sent on a mission to the south-west mountains of Hero Town. Only one guy returned alive. And he's traumatized. He was blabbing words about an ancient mill. It was rumored to be located somewhere in those mountains."
"Wow! Another mystery. Then God that I asked you. Tell me more about this so called "Ancient Mill". Why don't we take a look?" Ron asked.
"Well, a few days after the return of the last survivor. Our department sent another crew. They found something very shocking. They found bones of humans. And our doctors confirmed that they are the bones of the crew dispatched first." I replied.
Ron's expression saddened and asked, "What kind of monster was hiding there, that only their bones came out".
"The doctors told us the reason and its more shocking. The first crew turned into bones because of aging." I spoke.
"Aging? You mean that the first crew aged until only their bones were left". Ron said. It was the first time that I saw Ron so shocked. Normally, he's unpredictable, funny and cheerful.
Ron smiled and said, "Why don't we take a look?" I knew that Ron would say it. He likes mysteries.
Scene 2
-Ron
After my meeting with Carter, I went to the World of Dark Souls. I met that skeleton dude. He was looking at me like he'd attack any moment. I asked him,
"Is Dr. Thomas here?"
He looked at me for a while, then replied, "No, he is not here. What do you want you damn human".
"Hey you, damn old skelly, watch your mouth. I'll punch to so hard that you'll forget the reason of your existence". I replied
He got furious, "Are you looking for a fight".
"I am ready when you are" I spoke
"Come at me if you have guts to" he said and was about to attack. But Yardy came in between. Yardy greeted me and that skelly.
Yardy calmed him down and asked me about the reason for visiting. I told him everything without mentioning Carter and his department. I told them that something happened to a group of people who went on hiking
The Skelly was also listening. He laughed when I completed my speech.
He said, "Many dangerous monsters in the multiverse originate from that Mill. There are 50 levels of that Mill. The reason those people died was not because of those monsters. Anyone who enters that Mill. They start aging rapidly. It's an invisible gas, to protect the Mill. As you go to high levels, monsters will be a lot stronger than the previous level and the intensity of that ageing gas will also increase.
"I will clear that Mill." I spoke.
He laughed again," Best of luck clearing that Mill, Ron. We haven't known each other for long. See you again. I know you'll never come out alive once you enter.
After my return. We picked up our gear. I, Carter with Lia decided to raid the "Ancient Mill."
Scene 3
I picked Carter and Lia. But there was one other guy. I drove toward the Western Side of Hero Town. There was a small cottage. On its door, there was something written that was hidden with dirt. I cleaned it,
"Welcome to David Degg ....'s House"
Knocks on the door.
A voice came, "Who is it early this morning?". The door opened.
I asked the guy in front of me" Are you David Degg also known as DA.
"Yes, what do you want kid, there's no candy here." He spoke.
I was very shocked; I wasn't expecting something like him to be DA. Carter and Lia gave me an intense glare.
DA looked at them, then at me, "Are you going to say the reason you came here?"
"Hmm (clear throats) DA, we have decided to raid that Ancient Mill. Will need your help." I spoke.
"Hahahahahaha, you bunch of children will raid the lion's den? Don't make me laugh". DA continued laughing after saying that.
DA further stated, "Carter and Lia, what are they doing here. Ohh, now I get it you must be Ron, I heard a lot about you.
Lia asked DA respectfully, "Sir, are you gonna help?".
DA was focused somewhere else, Carter shook him and said, "Sir, it's the last time we are going to ask, are you helping us or not?"
"If it's the great Carter Klein asking me, then why not. I apologize for my rudeness. Let's hurry". DA answered.
we got inside the car, and we headed towards the Ancient Mill.
