Olivia did not want to go to get dressed especially when there was no Mia in sight. Why would I bring Mia who could possibly ruin my plans? I wanted this plan to go as perfectly as ever. I could feel that it was going to be perfect, and I was going to love the outcome.
I tried not to smile as Olivia got up and followed Jade quietly to the room. It was time to enforce the second stage of my plan.
I gave Jade an hour and thirty minutes to get Olivia prepared. I knew she would get Olivia completely ready for the masquerade ball at that time because I had tracked how long it took her to get my mom ready for previous occasions.
I walked into the room after my timer for an hour and thirty minutes went off. Jade was trembling as she tried to tell Olivia something, but from the way Olivia stared attentively at Jade, it seemed Jade hadn't said anything evil about me – yet. Neither of them had noticed that I had walked into the room; it had been less than ten seconds since I came in quietly.
'Goodbye Jade, you served well', I said in my head.
I did not give Jade enough time to tell Olivia about what truly happened because that would spoil my entire plan. I shot her straight in the head with my HK VP9 gun that had a silencer attached to it, making it quieter. Jade fell to the floor without a single word or struggle.
My aim was becoming great. I had been learning how to shoot a gun from age eight. My classmates were always scared of me. I was pretty sure that rumours went around that I had joined a cult. But nobody ever had the guts to ask me about it. My gun skills were so good now, it fascinated me.
But the horrible facial expression that Olivia had on her face made my chest sink. If she was not so perfect, I would not go through all this stress to make her be with me. I was not a fan of women, and even though I frustrated most of them, I did not spend time strategizing a plan for them. Most women were dumb to me,and I could walk all over them if I wanted. But I could not walk all over Olivia. She gave me that challenge to do better than I usually did. It was crazy killing someone to try to get her, but I never claimed to be normal. I would do anything to keep Olivia, including this plan which involved tricking her to the very end. She was going to marry me, and I was going to figure out what made her so special that I could only think of her.
"I hope she didn't harm you. There will be another makeup artist, fashionista and another seamstress that will help you get dressed", I said, acting cool.
I was good at acting when I wanted to. It was a natural talent, unlike Olivia, who could not hide the fact that she was shocked, angry, disgusted, and confused all at once. Her clothes and face were stained with Jade's blood. It was easy to tell she had never been stained with blood before. I, on the other hand, had lost count of how many times I had gotten stained with different people's blood, which usually meant a trip to the hospital to check for diseases. Olivia would need to get used to seeing blood; she would be seeing a lot more of it.
"Are you fucking insane?!", she screamed at me.
I guessed she did have some right to scream. Her dress was very beautiful. Jade knew how to get the job done, if only she did not betray the Brewers, the Mafia, she would have been fine by now. But there she was one on the ground, lifeless, blood oozing out of her head.
I could not lie. I felt a bit good when I killed someone, especially the ones who were against me. But with Olivia beside me, I did not feel so good. I could not wear my usually sly smile. Olivia was getting in my head, and I did not like it.
"I appreciate your question this time around. Fortunately for you, I'm not completely insane. Before you ask why I killed her, I will answer that. She was a spy for another Mafia boss. She was going to probably poison you to die or poison your mind against me. It is already known to many that I would soon get married, and some people suspect that it was a forced marriage. So spies are already sent to get more information about our marriage and use that against me. That is why you need to get some training later on about how the Mafia works so that you would not be surprised when I blow some people's heads out because of any attempted evil plan against me", I said smoothly.
Jade was indeed a traitor. I was not lying. I just was not telling the complete truth. It was also completely true that she, Olivia, needed some training about how the Mafia worked. I really did not like the look of disdain on her face as she looked at me.
"Oh fuck off! This woman was scared to death. She wanted to tell me something important and you just shot her in the head. She didn't do anything to me. The dress she made for me looked so beautiful until you decided to shoot her brain and make her blood spill on my beautiful dress. She's not the evil one, you are", she screamed back at me.
She was not buying my excuse. This was what I meant when I said she was not easily fooled. She was not scared of me, she was not easily seduced by me, and did not believe a lot of things that I said. She was definitely going to hate me when she fully realized what my plan was. But I was pretty sure that it would not last forever. I could feel there was a part of her that longed to understand our unsolved chemistry just like I did.
"I don't care if you think I'm evil. I did this to protect you. But if you don't like the protection, know that I also did this to protect myself. My sources told me that she was a spy from an enemy, and she was up to no good. Whether or not her act fooled you is none of my business. She's dead now and that's all that matters. You will be taken to another room where you can take a shower and get dressed again. Take a cool shower to get yourself refreshed and less angry. We must be presentable at the masquerade ball", I said.
That was the best thing I could say. I could only dismiss Olivia's suspicions of me murdering an "innocent" woman. Arguing with a woman was not one of my favourite things to do, and I had said enough already.
But I was not prepared for her next reaction. She started laughing maniacally, like she would rather have me killed than follow me to the masquerade ball.
"I should take a shower so that I would be refreshed and less angry? So we can look presentable at the masquerade ball? Are you even listening to yourself? You just killed a woman based on your source which may have been wrong, and you expect me to be cool about it. You are crazy", she screamed.
I was crazy about her. But she wouldn't understand that. I didn't understand it either, but I was going to, with time.
"You behave like you're from a saint's home and it sickens me. I'm pretty sure this is not your first time seeing someone get shot. Why are you behaving like this is your first time seeing someone get shot? Let me guess–to make me look like a horrible person. Well let me burst your bubble. I am in fact a very terrible person, you're going to get married to me and this will certainly not be your last time seeing me kill a person. Leave this room in two minutes so that my men can get it cleaned up", I said leaving the room.
I was not going to let her speak to me again. She was going to come with me to the ball, and I was going to execute my next line of action whether she liked it or not.
After an hour, I was done getting dressed. I went to take a peek at Olivia. She looked as though life had been drained out of her. I could not blame her, she was a softhearted woman.
I left and came back after a while to see that she was fully prepared for the masquerade ball. Her second outfit did not look as great as the first one did, but she looked stunning as always.
I told her I was sorry and kissed her on the cheek. Her face immediately turned bright red. There was definitely chemistry between us, even though she was trying hard to hide it – probably because she wanted to be different from other girls, did not want to be "used" like them, or maybe she just wanted me to look like a bad person, as always, so she could keep living in her fantasy that her boyfriend was the perfect one.
When we arrived at the venue, I could not help but smile. It was time for the next step of my plan. Olivia did not see me smiling, which was a good thing because she would suspect something was wrong. I barely smiled unless I knew that I had the upper hand in the grand scheme of things.
I held onto Olivia's hand, and could feel how cold it was. She was anxious and it was obvious.
"Your hands are cold. Are you okay?", I asked.
That was a stupid question, I knew. But I couldn't think of anything else to ask. I was a bit nervous too. I barely ever got nervous, even when I went up against opponents with greater weapons than me, but here I was, getting nervous about my plans to win a woman over.
"What do you think?", she asked, refusing to look at me.
I wanted to pull her into a kiss, pull her dress up, turn her around, dig my manhood into her pussy from behind until her legs get wobbly, and she would cry out my name.
But I could not. Not now anyways.
"Tonight will be a memorable night for you, trust me. And remember, the most important thing is to make people truly believe that we love each other. It would help our image be held high, and help us overcome bigger problems", I said.
I was not lying. It was truly going to be a night that we both would never forget in two different ways.
A night that I never knew would change my life in a way that it did.
