Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: A Family Divided

There was so much movement underwater just now. One can only imagine how powerful the sea monster must be. "Woo!" But the sea monster actually made a whimpering sound that sounded like a whimper. At that moment, the sun illuminated its huge body. There were bluish-purple bumps everywhere, as if it had been beaten violently.

"How could this sea monster be beaten like this?" Ben was embarrassed when he saw the arrogant sea monster become like this. Immediately afterward, the sea monster plunged into the lake and disappeared from the surface in a flash, presumably fleeing to the lake's depths. "Was the sea monster driven away by the alien hero Ryan transformed into? It must be!" Gwen said with admiration, her small hands clenching involuntarily.

Boom!

Then Ripjaws burst out of the water. He looked a little confused and scratched his cheeks, which were still wet. "I thought it'd be a fierce fight. I didn't expect this big guy to have a glass heart. My attack completely shattered his composure." "It's so cool that you drove that big guy away!" Ben looked at Ripjaws and waved. "Ryan, how are you?" "I'm fine." Ripjaws shrugged, shook his fishtail, and swam quickly to the shore. He grabbed the edge with both palms.

Whoosh!

With slight effort, he leaped out of the lake with his entire body and landed on the ground. Ben and Gwen both looked at Ripjaws's body involuntarily, trying to find injuries. They didn't expect him to be unscathed! How could Ripjaws fight that kind of sea monster and retreat without a scratch? He even beat it like that! "I didn't expect this alien to be so powerful..." Ben said admiringly. Gwen added, "The transformants must be very powerful, so the transformed aliens are all incredibly strong."

"It's not that exaggerated. I just spotted his flaws," Ripjaws said modestly. He showed a kind smile, though to outsiders, he still looked scary. "What are your teeth made of? They're so strong!" Ben stood on his tiptoes, his face full of curiosity. He raised his hands to pat Ripjaws's strong teeth. Speechless, Ripjaws replied lazily, "I don't know. Maybe they're stronger than steel." "You're boring, too, Ben," Gwen said. She was talking about Ben, but she couldn't help walking behind Ripjaws and carefully observing his fishtail. She gently grabbed it with her hands.

Beep beep~

Fortunately, it was time for Ripjaws's transformation. With a familiar sound, he changed from Ripjaws back to his human form. "Okay, don't stare. I'm not a museum exhibit," Ryan said, breathing a sigh of relief as he looked at the two in front of and behind him. Black lines appeared on his face. Gwen's cold little hand was still on his back.

"Ah, sorry." Gwen's face turned red, and she quickly retracted her hand. "Let's talk to Grandpa about the sea monster," Ryan said seriously. "After all, this is a big deal." "Will Grandpa believe it? And will he scold us?" Ben said later, his tone weakening.

"It doesn't matter. I'll tell him that I insisted on taking you out to play. Then Grandpa won't blame you two, only me!" Ryan patted his chest, looking obliging.

"Ryan, really?" "Of course, Ben. Don't worry. Who made us good friends?" Ryan reassured Ben. Ben, as I'm sure you know, it must have been the two of you who came up with the idea. Ryan only went out with you. I know you two too well; don't try to lie to Grandpa."

In the old RV, Max lectured Ben and Gwen seriously. Ryan stood aside and winked at Ben, indicating that he couldn't be blamed. "It's all my grandpa's insight!

"Grandpa, it's really not..." Ben weakly defended. "Can't you see through your little tricks?" Max was both angry and amused. "Swimming in this strange lake without safety measures is dangerous. In short, let's not let this happen again!" "Got it, Grandpa!" The two being lectured answered in unison. Then, Max turned to look at Ryan. "Ryan, do you mean there's a sea monster in this lake?"

"That's right." Ryan nodded. "That sea monster almost attacked Ben. Fortunately, I transformed quickly enough." "If there are sea monsters in this lake, then Ben and Gwen don't need to participate in today's fishing trip," said Max, carefully stroking his chin as he looked at Ben and Gwen. "Huh? Why, Grandpa!" Ben was puzzled and rushed over to him. "You two are too dangerous on the boat. Ryan and I need to find that sea monster before it attacks anyone else," Max said seriously. "Grandpa, I think it's dangerous if the two of them stay on shore," Ryan interjected, helping Ben and Gwen. He calmly analyzed, "First, the sea monster already knows Ben, and it's not guaranteed that it won't attack again. Second, Dr. Animo could send robots to hunt down our group and attack us again. So, staying on the shore is just as dangerous!" If they stayed by his side, though, he could transform into an alien hero at any time and defend everyone.
