Nicholas was hesitant a little, wanting to stall and let the drama unfold a little while longer. But he knew his father was not one to repeat himself so he excused himself immediately to do as he was told.
"Mr. Valtieri, I believe this can be settled without taking things out of proportion," Victor pleaded while silently cursing Charles in his mind. "Once Blake wakes up, I promise I'll scold him properly for what he's done. I'll make sure he comes to apologize to you."
Roman's old cold gaze settled on Victor for a second, before they landed on Charles who was as stiff as a statue—as if any movement he made would make people see him even when he was already standing in the middle of the hall where everyone could see.
