[REC • 00:00:01]

šŸŽ¤Archivist Dr. Rhyne:

(softly)

"They heard us."

>AERIN (host):

"...We recieved trans...missionĀ from the Listners.

>Rhyne:

"They've been listening since the signal cracked. Since we touched the Vault again. The ones who watch the resets. The custodians of the Clockwork Directive. I thought we were safe behind the drift delay... but we're not."

>AERIN:

"...Should we stop now?"

A long pause. The soft hum of fluorescent lights overhead. Something—faint—clicks in the background, like a failing relay.

>Rhyne:

"No. We've come too far to stop now."

[REC • 00:01:19]

>Rhyne (continued):

"You wanted to know why the world needed resetting. Why the Antikythera Vault was locked down. Why Project Velvet Silence was wiped from every known server."

Click. Click. Static.

"It's because the Antikythera didn't predict future events. It preserved them. Preserved them across timelines. The machine didn't simulate possibilities—it remembered them."

>Erin:

"...So the resets weren't experiments. They were corrections?"

>Rhyne:

"Corrections, yes. But not for reality. For perception. Project Velvet Silence wasn't just a memory erasure protocol. It was a perceptual stabilizer. To eliminate contradictions. To smooth the reboot."

>Erin (quietly):

"...February 2003."

>Rhyne:

"The final reset. Authorized by... no one we could trace. All records point back to one source: OSCO. Not a person. A system. A living directive—activated by the Vault when human thresholds were breached."

>Erin:

"What thresholds?"

>Rhyne:

"When we remembered too much."

[REC • 00:03:44] — STATIC INTRUSION DETECTED

Suddenly, harsh static tears through the recording. Then:

> "We warned... not to proceed…"

"This… is your burden now."

"…face it… alone…"

Distorted voices break in from the frequencies. Layers of broken speech, as if multiple timelines are bleeding through at once.

> "Directive Void. Playback denied."

"LISTENER… compromised."

[REC • 00:04:23] — AUDIO CUT

*A long silence. Lights flicker. Then—click.

[ANALOG BACKUP SYSTEM ENGAGED]

A low whir. A mechanical spool turns. A magnetic tape begins to play.

> [RECORDING – LOG T-9 CLEARANCE LEVEL ALPHA]

"…This is OSCO 3/7. You are listening to the final log…"

"…Antikythera Fragment compromised. Reset successful. Timeline #3 stable, for now."

"…but Rhyne breached memory isolation. Listener has heard too much."

"…Terminate signal. This message will self-corrupt…"

> S K K K K R T T T T T C C C C H H H K…

[REC • 00:05:12] — END OF FILE DETECTED

[DR. RHYNE — OFFLINE]

[HOST AERIN — STATUS: UNKNOWN]

All that remains is the slow spin of the tape reel. No voices. No breathing. No broadcast.

Just noise.

And silence.

And you.

The Listener.
