*At the night*
Liyu and I were sitting in the garden, enjoying the moonlight and sipping drinks, celebrating a successful day at our new shop. The rooms were being constructed on one side of the garden, but we had found a cozy spot to relax.
I said, "Today was a really tiring day." Liyu replied, "Yes, Master, today was exhausting, but I have some great news for you." I asked, "What's the news? What got you so excited all of a sudden?" Liyu said, "I found a way for us to enter the palace."
Just as Liyu was about to reveal the news, Liying arrived. We fell silent, not wanting to discuss it in front of her. Liying asked, "What were you two talking about?" I replied, "It's none of your business." Liying looked a bit sad, so I added, "Don't be sad, come sit down. Do you want a drink?"
Liying said, "No, Misses, I don't drink."
I asked, "Don't you need some rest? It's getting late."
Liying replied, "I'll rest tomorrow. There's a festival tomorrow, isn't there?"
I asked, "Which festival?"
Liying replied, "Tomorrow is the Mid-Autumn Festival."
I said, "I'm not familiar with this festival." Llyu said, "Neither am I, Master."
Liying mentioned, "This festival is very famous in the East. liyu and miss liu You're from yongning , so I thought you'd know."
We replied we don't know about this festival a
Liying smiled and said, "No worries, I'll tell you about it."
Liying began to explain, "The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for family reunions and giving thanks for the harvest. It's celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest."
I asked curiously, "What's the significance of the full moon?" Liying replied, "In Chinese culture, the full moon symbolizes unity and completeness. It's a symbol of family reunion and togetherness."
Liyu added, "And mooncakes are a big part of the celebration, right?" Liying nodded, "Yes, mooncakes are a traditional food eaten during the festival. They're round pastries filled with sweet or savory ingredients, symbolizing completeness and unity."
As Liying explained the Mid-Autumn Festival, I listened intently. "Wow, that sounds fascinating," I said. Liying smiled, happy to share her knowledge.
Liyu and I exchanged a glance, both of us enjoying the conversation. I was intrigued by the stories of family reunions and harvest celebrations.
Liying continued to explain the festival, and I nodded along, taking it all in. "I'll have to celebrate it properly this year," I said, making a mental note.
Liyu and Liying chatted more about the festival, and I listened, appreciating their enthusiasm. As the night wore on, we decided to call it a day, looking forward to the celebrations tomorrow.
*Next morning*
I woke up early in the morning and saw Liying doing something in my room. As I approached her, I noticed she was making some festival-related decorations.
I asked her, "What are you doing here?" Liying replied, "Master, I'm making some lanterns for the Mid-Autumn Festival."
I said, "Oh, okay. Continue with your work." After that, Liyu entered my room and said, "Master, your bathing water is ready. Please take a bath first. Your dress is also ready."
I asked, "What kind of dress?" Liyu replied, "It's a traditional dress that suits this festival. Liying chose it for you, saying it would look perfect on you for this festival."
I smiled and said, "Alright, let's see how it looks. I'm curious to know if her choice is good."
As I came out after my bath, I heard a loud noise coming from my shop. I rushed there and saw Han Rui and Liyu arguing. They were shouting at each other. I stepped in between them and stopped the fight.
"What's going on here?" I asked calmly. Han Rui said, "Your servant has no manners at all." Liyu was about to say something in anger, but I stopped her and defended her, "Mind your own language. She is my friend."
Then I saw the damage - expensive jewelry was scattered all over the floor, and some of it was broken. I looked around and saw that Liying was standing by the side, looking shocked and confused, as if she had no idea what was going on.
I went to her and asked, "What's wrong, Liying? What's going on?
