When the tank battalion led by the lieutenant encountered the X Corps' armed helicopters, they were immediately met with a relentless barrage of rocket fire. The entire battalion was utterly overwhelmed, without even a fleeting chance to retaliate.
After a minute of overwhelming firepower coverage, the dozen or so helicopters gracefully pivoted their noses and veered off toward another direction.

Kerry and several of his psychic envoys stood upon the rooftop of the tallest skyscraper in Black Whale City. Seated around a small square table adorned with a modest grill, they savored the aroma of sizzling meat, sausages, and chicken wings roasting upon the iron rack.
Kerry skewered a sausage on his fork, chewing leisurely while scanning the battlefield through his binoculars. A faint smile curled at his lips. "That brat Xiao Feng truly has talent—he has suppressed the entire Allied force so thoroughly. These are two entire divisions, yet they are utterly incapable of mounting any resistance."
Beside Kerry, Louise wore only a white shirt, its top three buttons undone to reveal glimpses of a black bra beneath. Kerry admired Louise's character deeply, especially her unique psychic abilities. Since meeting her, Kerry never ventured anywhere without her; even at night, Louise devoted herself to his comfort.
Louise was unaware of Kerry's true identity—the eldest son of the second-largest shareholder of the Browm Corporation, poised to inherit that very stake. Thus, she cared for him with unwavering attentiveness.
Kerry turned to Louise and asked, "Have you ever met Xiao Feng?"
"Not that I recall," she replied.
"That bastard has bewitched my sister completely, yet I must admit, he is formidable. It's incredible that so few managed to seize Black Whale City."
Louise chuckled softly, "It's not taken yet, is it?"
"Soon. Within two hours, this city will slip from the Alliance's grasp."
Louise handed Kerry a glass of wine. "Aren't you afraid Xiao Feng might eventually control the Browm Corporation?"
"You're quite right. My sister Kerry is the heir to the primary shares, and if she truly ends up with Xiao Feng, who knows what could happen?"
Louise smiled coyly. "Heh, your sister will marry someday. If she ends up with someone as powerful as Xiao Feng, it might even be a boon for Browm Corporation."
Kerry pulled Louise close with a grin. "You know, I quite enjoy hearing that from you."
Unabashed, Louise looped her arms around Kerry's neck. "If you like it, I'll say it every day."
Just then, a burly man laughed heartily, "Could you two keep it down? There are other people here!"
Louise cast a playful glance at him. "Jealous, are you? Too bad—you'll never be as handsome as Kerry." With that, she kissed Kerry passionately.
Kerry made no move to resist.
The big man shook his head. "Damn, is this a battlefield or a vacation spot?"
Nearby, a sonic-powered evolved operative chuckled, "That's just the charm of Kerry."

As Xiao Feng drove his armored vehicle into Black Whale City, he commanded sternly, "No wanton killing of innocents. Dr. Mark, breach their communications system and order the Alliance soldiers to surrender—hands up, disarm, and no executions. We shall treat prisoners with the utmost leniency. Those who lay down arms may even join our X Corps."
Mark responded promptly over the comms, "Understood. We're on it."
Xiao Feng continued, "Helicopter and armored vehicle combat groups, follow me to the airport. We must seize control there swiftly and securely."
Driving resolutely, Xiao Feng led the armored battalion toward the airport while connecting via his phone's communicator to Kerry. Kerry, arm around Louise, appeared on Xiao Feng's watch display with a chuckle, "Xiao Feng, you've really surprised me—so soon you've broken through?"
"Honestly, it surprised me as much as you. I never expected the Alliance forces to crumble so easily."
"How dare you say that? Without support from Browm Corporation, could you really have this strength?" Kerry lounged proudly, while Louise admired Xiao Feng's strikingly handsome and distinctly Eastern visage on the screen, her surprise evident.
Xiao Feng glanced at Louise and quipped, "Who's this girl? Another victim of yours?"
"Hey, what are you talking about? I haven't 'victimized' anyone."
"You know well enough who you 'victimized.' Enough banter— we're almost at the airport. Tell your people there to avoid any misunderstandings."
"Got it." Kerry closed the connection and switched to his team at the airport.
The communicator lit up, revealing a mech-suited soldier. "Director Kerry, what's the status?"
"How's the airport control? Any counterattacks?"
"They've tried a few times, but their vehicles are fragile. With our ion laser cannons, dealing with them is far too easy."
"Good. Xiao Feng's X Corps will arrive shortly. Prepare to support—no mistakes."
"Understood. We've spotted them."
"Alright, until then." Kerry ended the call.
Louise curled her arms around Kerry's neck, half reclining against him, giggling, "Xiao Feng is quite the handsome fellow."
Kerry laughed, "Really? How about I introduce you two? If you can 'handle' him for me, I'll give you a million Alliance credits."
Louise shook her head, "Xiao Feng? Just words. My heart belongs to you."
Kerry smirked, "You haven't seen him in person. You might really fall for him. Even my sister can't resist him—let alone you. Come on, let's head to the airport. I'll show you this 'bastard' Xiao Feng."
Louise's smile never faded. "Sounds perfect. Let's go."
Minutes later, Kerry and several psychics sped toward the airport in a massive pickup. Louise sat in the passenger seat, radiating femininity, her mind filled with the indelible image of Xiao Feng's striking visage—such a man imprints upon the heart with but a single glance.
