Chapter 66 - Chapter 66 – Rose Eldara vs Vorak, the Rotting One

South Sector – Evacuation Zone

Hayate's body still lay on the ground. The vapor rising from Rose Eldara's living waters filled the air like a silent lament.

Vorak, cloaked in a black, decaying aura, approached with slow, deliberate steps—each one corroding the life around him.

— "One of you has already fallen... soon, you'll follow." — he growled, eyes hollow and gleaming with cruelty.

Rose said nothing. Her icy blue eyes shimmered, analytical and calm.

"Entropy… it consumes organic matter. But… what about pure water?"

With a subtle motion, Rose coated her skin with an additional layer of purified living water—flowing like a veil. Vorak attacked again—yet his touch passed through harmlessly.

— "What...? Why isn't this human dying from my power?!"

Rose closed her eyes. Her aura exploded into a crystalline blue light. She brought her hands to her chest—and from the ground, a colossal tide surged, swallowing the battlefield.

— "Abyssal Pressure!" — she roared.

Vorak was dragged into the ocean forged by her aura, crushed under its unimaginable weight, suffocated by the absence of decay-able matter. He screamed like a demon drowning in his own existence.

But it wasn't over.

With a monstrous roar, Vorak's aura erupted, vaporizing the sea. He lunged like a beast and punched Rose in the gut. She fell to her knees.

He tried to unleash his decaying touch once more—only to hesitate.

— "Your body… it's still covered in water?"

— "Yes… and you… are decaying too, aren't you?"

Vorak snarled, deactivating his Entropy Touch. He chose to fight using only speed and aura. He moved like a blur—faster than Rose—but she raised living water barriers with razor precision.

— "He's too fast... but I just need one chance. One clean hit."

And then—she struck.

— "Total Water Extraction!"

With a fluid, graceful motion, Rose manipulated the molecular structure of water across the battlefield—and within Vorak himself. Entropy could only destroy, not control.

She found her opening. A cutting wave of living water slashed across Vorak's chest—tearing him open.

Silence.

Rose panted, trembling.

— "Did I... do it?"

Vorak dropped to his knees… then chuckled.

— "That attack... nearly killed me. I hate to admit it… you're strong."

He raised his hand. A black sphere formed, pulsing like a corrupted singularity.

— "Entropic Sphere!"

The sphere collided with Rose. The explosion distorted space, aura, and even time. She screamed, her body battered—falling to her knees, nearly defeated.

Vorak approached for the final blow—when a distant thunder cracked the air.

— "Hey. You hurt?" — said Inavy Stormbreak, appearing behind her.

Rose's eyes shimmered with relief as she smiled.

— "A bit."

Inavy turned to Vorak.

— "Hey, weird-power guy… I'll give you two options: surrender and die… or fight and die. First one's less embarrassing."

Vorak roared.

— "Do not underestimate me, Heir of Chaos!"

— "Ah… guess you're choosing option two."

With katana in hand, Inavy unleashed Caelum Ardentem – The Crimson Sky Ablaze.

"When the sky becomes chaos… not even gods escape."

The sky darkened. Crimson rifts split open the heavens. Carmine lightning rained down. Inavy's katana tore through the air, birthing a domain of flame where reality itself began to unravel.

Vorak screamed. His body unraveled, his techniques failed. He tried to flee—but there was nowhere to run.

With one clean slash, Inavy ended it.

— "Still just warming up."

He ran to Rose.

— "Did his attack leave any lasting damage?"

— "No…" — she whispered, then hugged him tightly.

— "Thank you… if you hadn't come, I would've died."

Inavy smiled, holding her firmly.

— "I can't let the person I love the most die."

The battlefield paused for a heartbeat. Even in the midst of war… there was still space for love.

Central Sector – Lorien vs Tyrus

Far away, Lorien Valtier bled. His golden robe was torn, stained with blood. His body trembled—but his gaze remained unyielding, locked on the absolute shadow: Tyrus, Heir of Ruin.

— "You thought… that attack would finish me? You're strong… but not enough." — Tyrus sneered, launching dark spears that pierced Lorien's shoulder.

Lorien smiled, spitting blood.

— "Seems... that still wasn't enough…"

Tyrus advanced to deliver the final blow—when space distorted. Lorien vanished at the last second—saved by a newcomer.

— "Another Light-bearer… this one bends space itself." — growled Tyrus.

It was Darius Valtier.

— "Bro, you alright?" — he asked, helping Lorien up.

Lorien healed slowly, smiling even in exhaustion.

— "I am now…"

The two Valtier brothers stood side by side, facing the Lord of Ruin.

The final battle of that sector… was about to begin.
