June 13th, 2025.
South Korea, Goseong County – 11:38pm
The rain had gotten heavier, and the sky was pitch black. The moon was slowly getting covered by clouds. The only sources of light were the streetlights, the sign of the Velvet Tide nightclub, light from within buildings, and the lights from the police cars.
Five police cars were parked outside the club. There was a total of twelve cops. All of them had badges that said their names: Kim Jae-Hyun, Park Min-Soo, Lee Sang-Woo, Choi Ji-Hoon, Jung Hyeon-Seok, Yoon Tae-Young, Han Seok-Jin, Kang Do-Hyun, Takeda Riku, Bao Long Le, and Min Joon-Seok.
Joon-Seok wore a different uniform. Instead of the basic blue one, his was all black. He was a lieutenant, had a black beard and mustache, and his skin was white. His eyes were coal-like black. His skin was dry, and he had short black hair. It was obvious he was experienced and had been through a lot.
Riku walked up to Joon-Seok and said the following, "Lieutenant Min, over two hundred people ran out of the club. We don't know if the killer is still in there." It was obvious Riku wasn't born in Korea, but he was still fluent enough to do his job.
Do-Hyun walked to Riku's side and took out a device that scanned any heat from living things within a 10-mile radius. "Lieutenant Min, there is only one person left in the club."
Joon-Seok sighed before walking toward the club. "The caller said a bodyguard was killed in the power room, an umbrella through the neck. A hole in the chest the same size as the umbrella. We're dealing with an assassin, it's obvious."Riku raised an eyebrow, "Shouldn't we wait for someone from the anti-assassin force, lieutenant?"
Joon-Seok shook his head as he walked toward the front doors. He stopped right before them. "I already called them. It'll take at least ten minutes for them to get here. That's more than enough time for the assassin to get away. We need to stall him."
Joon-Seok turned his back to the doors and looked at the other officers. "We're all going in. We need to stall this assassin from leaving."
He then turned to look at Do-Hyun, "Officer Kang, you stay at the back with the device. Tell us his location at all times!" Do-Hyun nodded in agreement.
Joon-Seok then took out his pistol and kicked the glass doors open. They shattered. He walked in with the other eleven following. "On the second floor, to the left! He's moving toward the guardrail!" Kang Do-Hyun shouted.
All of them aimed their pistols up at the mezzanine. A blood-covered Jisoo began walking toward the guardrail. He looked tired, his face still emotionless. As soon as he looked down at the first floor, all of them fired at him simultaneously. Jisoo jumped back, barely avoiding the bullets. All of them struck the ceiling or the guardrail. Min Joon-Seok had a determined look. "Stand your ground, where is he now?" he asked as he looked at Do-Hyun.
Do-Hyun aimed the device upward, "He's still on the second floor, just further back! He doesn't seem to be moving." Joon-Seok began moving toward the stairs, "Move! We're going after him."
Jisoo looked down at his blood-dripping right hand. "It still smells… I don't think I can control myself… why am I hesitating to attack? All of them are chickens, I don't have to feel remorse." Jisoo walked down the hallway and peeked around the wall. He heard them coming up the stairs.
"He's peeking around a wall," Do-Hyun said as he stayed at the very back. Jisoo heard this and realized what he had to do. They arrived on the second floor, and Jisoo hid behind the wall for cover. Jisoo activated his 'Sungaze' and his eyes began glowing.
Out of nowhere, he dashed from around the wall toward the policemen. All of them shot their pistols once. Jisoo fell to the ground—eleven bullets had hit him. Lee Sang-Woo chuckled, "I was expecting more." Kim Jae-Hyun smiled as he replied with "tell me about it."
A blood pool began to form under Jisoo's body, and suddenly Jisoo got up into a running position and dashed past all the cops, sending them flying. Officer Park Min-Soo was sent flying over the guardrail and down onto the first floor. His head struck the ground and he died instantly. A pool of blood formed around him.
Jisoo reached out his hand and grabbed Kang Do-Hyun by the face before slamming his head into a wall, making it shatter and splash everywhere. He quickly destroyed the device by stepping on it before dashing away.
Joon-Seok stood up and sighed once he saw Do-Hyun's headless body spilling blood.
He looked around for a bit before running to the guardrail and looking down at the first floor. He sighed again, "Officer Kang and Officer Park are down, damnit…" All the other cops were scared, but they were able to remain calm. Riku walked up to Joon-Seok and asked him, "What now, Lieutenant Min?"
Min Joon-Seok thought for a bit as he rubbed the barrel of his pistol under his chin. "Split into groups of two, and search every corner of this place. We need to stall him even if it costs us our lives."
June 13th, 2025.
South Korea, Goseong County – 11:43pm
Kim Jae-Hyun and Lee Sang-Woo peeked around a corner before going forward. They continued to walk down the hallway which led to another section of the nightclub, a bar-only area.
"I'll make sure to put a bullet into that fucker's head this time," Sang-Woo said.
"We all shot and hit him, but not a single fatal shot," Jae-Hyun said as he looked around the bar room, aiming his pistol wherever his eyes went. They both heard footsteps, and they instantly turned. Jisoo, covered in blood, walked down the hallway, a path of blood left behind him. Lee Sang-Woo laughed as he began firing his pistol, "DIE, FUCKER!" Shortly after, Jae-Hyun also fired his pistol. Jisoo dashed toward them, barely dodging all the bullets. He reached out with both of his hands and grabbed them by the neck before raising them into the air.
They both dropped their pistols on the floor. With just the smallest amount of force, Jisoo cracked the neck of Officer Lee Sang-Woo. He let go, and the limp body hit the floor. Sang-Woo struggled to breathe; he slowly reached for his taser. He pulled it out and shot Jisoo in the head. Jisoo's entire body shook, but he still held him in the air. Jisoo then proceeded to slam Sang-Woo onto the ground.
"Lee! How are you guys doing over there?" a voice said through his walkie-talkie. Sang-Woo struggled as he began punching Jisoo in the face over and over again, but it had no effect. Jisoo smiled, showing his teeth covered in blood—a twisted smile. "I'm craving chicken," he said. Jisoo opened his mouth and slowly moved closer to his neck. He moved his hand away from Sang-Woo's neck, and Sang-Woo was able to breathe for less than a second before Jisoo bit into his neck, ripping out his voice box.
Lee Sang-Woo tried screaming, but nothing came out. Jisoo stood up and stepped on his head, crushing it. Suddenly, Jisoo was shot multiple times in the back, and he stumbled forward. He looked back and saw Officers Choi Ji-Hoon and Jung Hyeon-Seok. Jisoo quickly rolled behind a wall, and the two of them kept walking down the hallway to the bar room. Choi Ji-Hoon took out his walkie-talkie. "He's in the bar room, there's no way for him to leave besides the hallway we're in. We'll hold him here until backup. Hurry!"
He put his walkie-talkie away and aimed in front of him. Both of them stood their ground. Jisoo breathed heavily as he stood against the wall. "Did they call the anti-assassins…?" Jisoo dashed toward Sang-Woo's pistol, grabbed it, and hid again behind the wall before any of the bullets could hit him. The two cops went around the corner and hid behind the wall. They slightly peeked to see if he would move.
"Fuck it…" Jisoo said under his breath before dashing down the hallway, the pistol in front of him. The two cops moved into his line of sight, and all three of them shot. Jisoo shot both of them right in the head, killing them. He was shot in the shoulder and thigh, and he rolled on the ground before crashing into the wall. Choi Ji-Hoon and Jung Hyeon-Seok were now corpses on the floor.
Suddenly, Yoon Tae-Young, Han Seok-Jin, Takeda Riku, and Bao Long Le came running down the hallway. Jisoo's eyes stopped glowing—his 'Sungaze' had run out. Jisoo quickly got on all fours and ran toward them like a wild animal; he dropped the pistol. They began shooting at him, and Jisoo was only focused on protecting his head. The rest of his body was getting shot over and over again. He leaped at them.
Min Joon-Seok stood in the middle of the dance floor, waiting for something. He heard footsteps, and Jisoo came walking out of a hallway with the heads of Riku and Seok-Jin in his hands. His body was covered in holes. Joon-Seok looked angry. "Riku…" He looked down at his clock and then back at Jisoo. "Two minutes. I can stall you for two minutes alone."
Jisoo dropped both heads; they hit the floor and rolled. He began stumbling toward Joon-Seok, and Joon-Seok screamed as he ran toward Jisoo and leaped on him. He began raining down punches on Jisoo as he screamed out in anger. Joon-Seok then pulled out his pistol and aimed at his head. Blood splattered everywhere. The pistol dropped to the floor, and Min Joon-Seok now had a fist going all the way through his head.
Jisoo pulled out his hand and let his body fall to the side. He slowly stood up and, with all his remaining strength, ran out of the club, leaping from car to car as the rain washed his blood away.
