Chapter 6: The Rebel Hero
---
> "They called me a mistake. I'll become their proof they were wrong."
– Rael Stroud
---
The Lightbringers left the village the next day — broken in pride but spared by Rael's mercy.
News spread across the borderlands:
> "A healer defeated the Church's top enforcers — and spared them."
To the commoners, Rael became a folk legend.
To the Church, he became a danger.
A bounty was quietly posted:
> "Rael Stroud – Arrest or Execution. High Holy Priority."
---
Meanwhile, Rael began his journey west.
"I need to get stronger," he told the priest. "Before the world decides to erase me."
---
On the Road
Three days out, Rael stumbled upon a burning carriage. Bandits. Screams.
A young girl with silver hair was surrounded — shaking, holding a small dagger.
"Stay away!" she yelled.
The bandit laughed. "A priest's daughter with a toy knife? Just hand over the relic!"
Rael stepped into the smoke. "Try picking on someone with actual magic."
> 🔆 Reverse Heal Shot!
Golden light blasted the bandit backward into a tree.
The girl stared in awe. "You… you're the outlaw healer."
Rael smiled. "Name's Rael. You alright?"
She bowed. "I'm Lyra. I use holy relics, but… I can't fight."
Rael offered a hand. "Then I'll protect you — but we both learn to fight together."
