In all universes, countless galaxies exist—but their stability varies depending on the Startra.
In this context, a Startra is a cluster of galaxies, each holding vast collections of planets. These planets are further categorized into various Orders.
A First Order world is relatively small, hosting around 10–20 million inhabitants. These worlds are weak and lack any notable creatures or phenomena.
Second Order worlds are about a hundred times larger than First Order ones. They can sustain 100–150 billion inhabitants and are rich in natural resources and treasures. Beings here have a much higher chance of ascending into Startra Gods, World Deities, or even becoming a Godling—a being that only takes and never gives back to the universe.
Third Order worlds are true behemoths—planetary leviathans that stretch across dimensions, host time-warped terrains, and feature floating continents. Populations here reach into the trillions. Entire civilizations evolve in isolation—on skylands, beneath endless oceans, or within deserts warped by fractured reality. These worlds are not just resource-rich—they are alive. At their core lies the Worldheart, a sentient, reality-shaping entity that can stabilize or unravel the world depending on its mood or level of corruption.
Beings born in Third Order worlds often manifest Cosmic Traits, tapping directly into the essence of existence: time, void, memory, fate, and even paradox. Startra Gods and World Deities are common here, though many are either engaged in endless wars or locked in meditative isolation, attempting to unravel the mystery of the True Thread—a mythical force said to bind all Startras together.
Beyond even these are the Fourth Order worlds—rare, near-mythical constructs with only seven known to exist across the entirety of known Startras. Each Fourth Order world is a self-contained universe. They are home to Primordial Constructs—beings older than time, born not through ascension but from the original rupture that birthed all of creation.
The denizens of Fourth Order worlds do not worship gods—they devour them, dissect them, or forge them into tools. Even the weakest among them can erase galaxies as a form of artistic expression or compress an entire Startra into a gem to power their transport vessels. They follow no moral code—only Conceptual Law, principles so alien they border on incomprehensible.
Some scholars—particularly those from the now-forgotten, Orderless world of NeloVextis—believe in the existence of a Zero Order origin point: the Unbound Realm, a place so saturated with creation energy that it exists entirely outside the Startra network. No known being has returned from its depths—save for a single, broken Godling whose whispers birthed the first cult of the Boundless Tear.
But it all circles back to the Startras themselves. These galactic clusters are not just collections of stars—they are conscious. Some are nurturing, birthing peaceful civilizations and harmonious gods. Others are twisted by ancient anomalies known as Dark Voids, where energy and soul rot into something vile and alien.
Each Startra governs itself through a Starseed—a divine concept that binds together its galaxies, timelines, and deities. When a Starseed is corrupted or stolen, the entire Startra falls into chaos or collapses into a Grave System—regions filled with dead stars, shattered worlds, and roaming cosmic horrors.
And at the center of all of this lies the question of Ascension:
How does one transcend world order to become a Startra God—or something greater?
The answer is deceptively simple: Take from everyone and everything. Make what is theirs, yours. Or absorb enough Mana—or higher energies—to inherit it all.
That was the 'small' knowledge the being gave me. No—he meant to give me far less. But my mind devoured him. I consumed more than just a memory—I consumed his being. And it was delightful.
From what I've gleaned, I am a Third Nascent Realization creature. By all logic, I should begin absorbing Mana to evolve. But that won't happen. I've already devoured the weak energy that once served as the foundation of this Second Order world.
It doesn't matter.
I can still evolve—rank up—by devouring powerful creatures.
And it just so happens that now… a horde of beasts approaches.
Land and air, they swarm, ready to ignite a territory war.
I considered facing them head-on. That might not be wise—some of them could likely kill me. Not that it matters. Death wouldn't affect me. In fact, the void within me is far more dreadful than death itself.
Still, charging in blindly like a berserker?
…Tempting. Very tempting.
Screw it.
This instinct is too strong. I need to witness the bloodshed up close. To feel the pain of being torn apart and the thrill of tearing others down in return.
It fills me with a strange sensation—something I haven't quite felt yet, but somehow know I'll relish.
But before I have fun, i would have to see their confrontation as I could see some of them had that grey flame in their hearts, but much more larger and potent.
Using my six legs, I climbed on the walls of the ravine.
---
In the large crevice of the world, beast from land and air paraded the entirety of it, these beast were of the 2nd stage of Nascent Realization while the strongest were the leaders of these two groups. They were at the strength of a Firct Circle Ascension beast.
The beast which patrolled the air landed in front of the leader of the land beasts.
"If it isn't the annoying land Mouse, how is the great maw handling you." The beast that spoke was a First Circle Ascension raven the size of a large boulder.
They spoke in the language of beasts. The land mouse was in a humanoid form closely resembling a human, he had a long tail, two large ears on his head and brown eyes that deeply gave the sense that he was one with the earth. "Hmmm, it is the raven that ran away from its sultry haven, are you ready to come to a conclusion with this long lasting strife of ours?."
The raven chirped. "Oh please, why else would I bring my army here. I am here to desecrate all that you know and feast on the flesh of yous disgusting land beasts?!."
The mouse merely laughed and then bowed. "Very well, as you wish my most favourite enemy, let us dance and sing until all becomes silent."
The raven shrieked, a sound that cleaved the silence like a blade across flesh. His wings flared, radiating a storm of black feathers laced with seething embers. The sky itself darkened—not by cloud or shadow, but by sheer, collective bloodlust. In response, the land trembled. Cracks split across the ravine walls, and from them surged the army of the earth—burrowing beasts, plated titans, and molten-blooded crawlers with eyes like molten gems.
The battlefield groaned with tension as the two legions surged forward—air met land, and war erupted.
Above it all, clinging to the jagged ravine wall, I watched.
Their grey flames danced—some flickered, others burned like infernos, and a few... a few pulsed like living hearts. Those would be the tastiest.
I leapt into the chaos.
Midair, the void inside me pulsed.
I landed on the ground and the battlefield became silent for a moment, the various beast stared at me. Specific they stared into my eyes and then half of them instantly turned to ice. The grey flame in their hearts extinguished almost instantly.
The ones that turn to ice were mostly beasts at the 4ths stage Nascent Realization down to First Stage Nascent Realization.
The silence shattered a heartbeat later.
Screams—beastly, guttural, primal—erupted in waves. The remaining creatures surged back in panic or charged with reckless hatred. But the damage was already done. Half of their forces were nothing more than twisted, frost-locked sculptures, frozen in poses of agony, terror, or mindless rage.
A pulse of satisfaction bloomed in me.
It seems my eyes have gained an ability to freeze beings who are weaker than me, instantly killing the. While this would mean I wouldn't be able to fully gain any benefits since I could not devour that grey flame, atleast it's something interesting. I wondered if I could fill the redt of my twelve empty pupils with some elements. At that thought I couldn't help but grin, revealing my pure white carnivorous teeth to the world.
At my display, it seemed to have only unnerved every beast from Stage five to the first circle Ascension. It seemed I ruined their little show.
I shot towards an approaching beast and bit on it's neck and tore it's head apart, my three tails then pierced the body of an incoming Vulture. Piercing right through it's heart.
I hissed as I relished I this bloodlust, I will kill Al the beast's here and feast in their flesh to evolve and become perfect so I cannot feel this UNBEARABLE pain and deviate this INSATIABLE hunger.
I moved once more, my claws tearing through the beast's ready to attack, my tails swinging, Piercing and chocking anything thay comes from abov. My teeth tearing through the flesh of these large beast's that tried to burrow into the growned.
I was enjoying it all until a Pillar of stone arose under me and took me up to the skies, before I knew what happened, I felt a large sharp object Pierce me from tha back, shooting me downwards and appearing from my stomach, embedding itself Into the bloodied earth of the ravine.
The mouse spoke in a slightly frightened tone. "An Abomination."
The raven dropped on top of the large object and stared down at me, it's eyes were rage full. "Who the hell do you think you are to kill half of my people?!!!.",
I growled, a new sound I realized I could make and my voice came out...quite gently and also quite confusing to whoever heard it. "I don't have a name, but I want to devour everything. I want to eat you until you are lost in the Ultimate Apex, become my food for my glorious perfection."
The raven scoffed, though still enraged. "Oh really, you're going to kill us while your are already trapped here. Land mouse help me kill this thing and I'll share half it's body with you."
But the raven only received silence. The mouse was slowly backing away, it's eyes slowly looking around as if something invisible was taunting him.
Seeing his reaction, the raven was displeased, if it didn't want to help it...then it would take this beast for itself.
But you see, that was where this littel raven was wrong, a small thing such as piercing would not hurt me, for inside me there is no blood, there is no bones nor is there a soul, only the vast and endless mass, a piece of the Ultimate Apex.
Before the raven could make a move, the object used to impale me rapidly began to freeze making the raven jump off before it was caught up in it. The object broke apart into small pieces of ice, slowly drifting away into the air.
I shaked my head and my blue pupils glowed, behind the mouse a sharp icicle tore through it and pierced it's heart. It stayed there struggling for a few seconds before dying miserably.
A first Circle Ascension beast died so easily. How...disappointing, either way another one still exists.
The raven stared down unimpressed. "Tsk, that mouse let his guard down. No matter, I shall finish you."
I wonder how potent my ue is since it comparable to give ice spirits.
The raven flared its wings once more, eyes locked onto me, a deadly glint rising from deep within its ember-lit pupils. Black flames curled around its feathers, burning silently in the windless air of the ravine. The creature exhaled, and the heat shimmered with lethal intent.
"You're just another hunger-born creature," it spat. "No soul, no roots, no legacy. You'll fade like all the others."
I tilted my head, watching the raven intently. It was wrong.
I was the legacy.
Because what existed inside me—the piece of the Ultimate Apex—wasn't just hunger. It was memory. It remembered the silence before time, the scream of the first broken law, the collapse of the first Starseed. It remembered what it meant to devour meaning itself.
Still, I didn't speak. I only smiled.
The blue glow of my pupils intensified—frigid mist curling around my frame. The temperature plummeted, and the very concept of warmth began to retreat from the ravine. My teeth clicked softly as a ring of frost bloomed outward from where I stood, painting the shattered ground with shimmering patterns that looked eerily like snowflakes.
