Six Months Later
It's been months since I left Silvermyst, I'm now mated to the Alpha of Red Moon, I'm Ryder's Luna. When I first arrived here Ryder was still out of the country, when he returned home he gifted me my father's pack, he went and fought for it all for me. When I see Damien I'm going to offer it to him, he is the rightful Alpha. Ryder going to war for what belonged to my family, it was a testament of love for me. I've never had anybody do anything like that before, so to say I was beyond moved would be an understatement. He has been a blessing, I couldn't ask for a more loyal and loving mate. We decided to date for a couple months, then one passionate night we marked each other, and I couldn't be happier. Don't get me wrong I do miss my friends and family back in Silvermyst, but having Jaxon here made our move so much easier. I have gotten close with Priscilla, Chase, and Chance as well, Wyatt on the other hand is kind of stuffy and all about his job as Delta. Wyatt is a nice guy, but he has to loosen up some, and maybe learn to read a person a little more, I don't think Priscilla will wait forever. Then again she has it bad for the Delta, I wish she'd fall for Chase they would make an intriguing couple. I hear my bedroom door open as I'm getting ready for the day.
" There's my beautiful mate." Ryder stated.
" Just getting back from training love?" I asked him.
" Yeah, it's been a long morning, I've got to shower and head into the office." he told me.
" Want me to bring lunch to you, or would you rather come to the dining room?" I asked.
" I've got a ton of paperwork, just bring us lunch to my office. That way I can work, eat, and spend time with you." he smiled as he bent down to kiss me.
" Multitasking is definitely one of your skills." I smiled back at him.
" It has to be when you run the biggest pack in the country, plus all the businesses I have in the human world, and let's not forget about being newly mated to the most fascinating she wolf I have ever known." pressing his forehead against mine.
" You truly are a busy man Alpha." I smirked.
" Do not use that tone Tess, I will never make it to the office, and you will miss the women's auxiliary this morning." he teased.
" Is that a threat Alpha?" I giggled.
" Nope it's a promise Luna, you know I never make idle threats." he says over his shoulder walking to the bathroom.
" I love you." I called out as I walked out of the bedroom.
Walking down the long corridor I run into Priscilla.
" Ready for today's meeting, and hearing the complaints of the women of the pack." she smiled at me wickedly.
" Always." I answer.
" Where are Jaxon and Chance? Are they arguing who's on your detail today?" she laughed.
" I'm sure one of them will catch up to us." I tried to stifle a giggle. Jax and Chance are always going back and forth on who is actually my Gamma.
" Yay I can't wait, hey, maybe you can tell that mate of yours that the Delta should be watching over us." she shrugged.
" Not gonna happen Cilla, I will not give up my fun, humorous Gammas for the ever stoic Delta." I smiled and nudged her.
" But why not?" she whined
" Have you ever thought about Chase as a mate?" I asked.
" Ew no, he's like my unwanted brother." she said scrunching her nose up.
" You grew up with Wyatt too." I reminded her.
" But I never saw him as part of the family you know. Before you bring it up it's a big no for Chance too." she replied shaking her head.
" Well there's always Jaxon, he's quite a catch." I told her.
" Jaxon is fun and good looking, but no one compares to my Wyatt." she sighed hopelessly.
" If you say so." I just laugh at her antics.
We walk into the meeting hall to begin today's meeting. Two hours we listened to the complaints of everyone in attendance, you have me trying to come up with solutions and to those that are harder to resolve Priscilla jots down notes so I can talk with Ryder and figure things out. We thank everyone for showing up and bid them farewell as the ladies line up to leave. We begin our walk to the dining room.
" I won't be eating here today, I have a lunch date in the Alpha's office." I say smiling wide.
" Hmm you don't say, what are you having? Sausage?" she starts laughing.
" Really? Only you would think that, you're insane." I reply shaking my head.
" Alright tell me with a straight face you haven't fucked my brother in his office." she blurted out.
" Well maybe I have, but today we're eating lunch, nothing else." I chuckled.
" Sure, I absolutely believe you." she giggled while searching the dining hall for Wyatt.
" We'll meet up after lunch." I tell her. She nods while walking towards the Delta.
I walk into the kitchen and I ask one of the staff if they would mind helping me to take lunch to Ryder's office. The young omega happily agreed, on our way to the office we chatted I learned her name is Sabrina, her mom and her just transferred to our pack. Knowing they were new made me feel a little better that I didn't know her name. This pack is so big it's hard knowing everyone.
I knock on Ryder's door, " Come in." he calls out.
Opening the door " Ready for lunch?" I ask.
" Of course my love." he smiled at me.
" Ryder, Sabrina helped me bring lunch, she and her mother Dorothea are new here, I just had the nicest chat with Sabrina and I'm looking forward to meeting her mom." I say to him, knowing he sometimes forgets to tell me about new pack members.
" Thank you Sabrina for delivering my lunch and Luna safely." he said while glancing at me.
" No problem Alpha, I would do anything for you, Luna, and this pack." she said baring her neck.
" Don't do that, do not bare your neck, everybody in this pack works and contributes here, there's no need to treat us like a King and Queen." I say to her.
" Sorry Luna it was different in the starlight pack, Alpha Bernard and his Luna were nothing like you two. Alpha Ryder and you Luna make us feel like family, not servants." she replied.
" It's because we are family." Ryder said.
She smiled and thanked us both and excused herself. We sit at the small table we brought with us and started eating.
" We have to get the pack house ready for guests next week." Ryder told me.
" Why? What's going on next week?" I questioned.
" Our pack held the summit, so we get to host the mid season summit as well. It's not as grand just a meeting, dinner, mini Alpha games the following game then it's over." he explained.
" Alright my Alpha, I'll make sure everything is ready for our guests." I nodded.
" Your old pack will be coming as well, Alpha Christopher, his Luna, Damien, Tristan, and Jaxon. Your brother is bringing a plus one." he said watching me.
" I wonder if Damien found his mate?" I screamed.
" That's all you got from that?" he inquired.
" That's all I care about," I say as I go and sit on his lap, " I rejected him, I chose you, I chose us. Yes, he's a big part of my past, but Ryder you are my future."
" Goddess I love you, can we skip lunch, work, and all responsibilities and lock ourselves in our room." he teased.
" Later my love." I said before I kissed him.
