Chapter 9 - The Making of the Prophecy

Chapter Nine: The Making of the Prophecy

The battlefield was stormy. Everywhere, there were echoes of war—silence was nowhere to be found. The weaklings were falling, and the strong were rising in their ranks.

Among the strong stood the son of the Dragon Lord.

"Let's go to another tower," Siegfried said. His teammates frowned but were too scared to show it.

Harry, the vice leader, stepped forward and said to Siegfried,

"I know you are hungry to eliminate the weak, Siegfried, but we are not in a situation to fight right now. Don't you see how many of us are injured?"

After hearing Harry's words, some now felt relieved that someone finally spoke up, while others were still scared of Siegfried. But Siegfried himself smiled and spoke in a calm voice:

"Oh, that's the case! Now I understand why everyone was looking at me like that. If you were injured, you could've told me sooner. We will wait here until all of you have recovered your stamina."

As soon as Siegfried said those words, all of the teammates calmed down. The atmosphere was now settling.

---

After a while, all of Siegfried's teammates were now ready for battle. Siegfried looked at them and said,

"All of you are ready. Now we go to the nearest base and strike it down."

His teammates nodded without worries. They departed from their fort and reached a dense forest. Harry became their tour guide and started to lead them.

While covering some distance, Linven—walking behind all of the members—felt something digging into his neck. As he was about to turn, he heard a voice,

"If you look back, you are dead."

Linven didn't dare look back. He asked the voice in a low tone,

"What do you want from me?"

After hearing his words, the shadow replied,

"Tell the team that you have tracked Galahad Vortigern's base with your blessing. I'm going to tell you the way, and you lead them there."

After hearing those words, Linven reluctantly agreed. He did as the shadow told him. Siegfried patted him on the back after hearing his words and told the team to follow Linven.

---

After a while, they reached Galahad's faction base. Siegfried saw Galahad standing there with his arms crossed.

"I saw you coming for me, Dragunov," Galahad spoke in a bold voice.

Siegfried looked at him and replied,

"So I'm not the only one who likes battle, huh?"

After hearing his words, Galahad replied,

"Let this be an amazing duel, Dragunov. I have high expectations."

Siegfried smirked and dashed forward at supersonic speed toward Galahad's fortress in a fighting stance, leaving several afterimages behind.

Harry took charge of his team and guided them through the fortress, leading them through the fight.

---

The Battle of Dragons

The cries of their weapons clashing were heard across the entire battlefield, both of them giving it their all. Siegfried struck continuously with utmost precision, making no unnecessary movements, each strike aiming for Galahad's neck.

Galahad responded to every strike, fending them off with perfect precision, never letting himself be open. He blocked every strike flawlessly, but Siegfried still didn't give him enough time to counterattack.

Both of them fell back, and Siegfried thrust forward with his spear again—once again, the first to attack. Galahad waited for Siegfried without making a move.

When their weapons clashed again, they sent shockwaves strong enough to make the battlefield tremble and destroy half the forest. They continued striking again and again, with neither of them showing any signs of losing.

While they were fighting, there was a man watching them from atop a mountain, noting their every move. His face was not visible. He turned his head and told his teammates to be prepared.

---

After fighting for so long, both of them started to slow down, and their attacks began to weaken. They both looked at each other, and Siegfried said to Galahad,

"It's about time we get serious, right?"

Galahad replied with approval.

---

Blessings Unleashed

Both of them infused their bodies and weapons with their blessings.

Galahad shouted into the air,

"Blessing of the War Angel Michael!"

While Siegfried also shouted into the void,

"Blessing of the War God!"

Both of them reached a state of unification with the energies present in their bodies.

Galahad's body was now covered with armor of celestial light shining brightly. His defense became comparable to that of a 6th Realm warrior, and his strength and speed increased tenfold.

Siegfried was now covered in fiery energy, with his aura flaring like a peacock. His speed increased massively—he reached half the speed of light. His strength was now enough to move mountains and shake nations.

They both dashed forward—so fast, they couldn't be seen. The energy generated from their attacks made small cracks in dimensions.

Both of them fell back again, now almost at their limit.

They then decided to use their final attack.

---

Final Attack unleashed

Siegfried gripped his spear tightly and said,

"Descent of the War God."

The skies started trembling, clouds covered the heavens, and a divine phoenix appeared—shining bright with golden celestial light. The phoenix was massive, its wings spanning the entire forest. Siegfierd looked at it's giant wings he then looked at the phoenix in awe .he then quickly realized the situation he was in and then Siegfried jumped into the air and landed on the phoenix, pointing at Galahad. The phoenix roared, shaking the heavens.

---

Galahad replied with his attack. He shouted and gripped his spear tightly:

"Judgement—"

The clouds suddenly began to disappear, revealing a celestial light coming down from the heavens.

"—of the Heavens!"

A colossal humanoid figure emerged from space, holding giant swords. His sword reached the clouds—unlike Galahad's spear.

---

Siegfried and Galahad both struck with their final attacks. As the attacks collided, they destroyed the entire battlefield, creating a crater large enough to swallow oceans. Both the teams of Galahad and Siegfried were engulfed in the destruction—eliminated.

Siegfried and Galahad stood there, their hands and legs trembling. They both got ready to launch one last attack—until...

Marcus Alderwood and his allies emerged from the destruction, their silhouettes glowing.

All of Marcus' teammates stood behind him, pointing their swords at Siegfried and Galahad.
