Chris opened the door to their suite. "We are going to do this right, and since you are unable to carry me, I'm carrying you," Lex said.
Lex, with little effort, picked up Chris and carried him into the room, straight to the bed, and sat him down. As he stood up, he remarked, "Good thing you lost a little weight due to the wreck, or that would have been impossible."
Lex shut and locked the door, and he returned to Chris, who was sitting on their bed. He reached down and unfastened his shirt. Chris unbuttoned Lex's shirt and leaned forward to his chest to listen to the heartbeat of the Genman he loved.
Chris unfastened Lex's pants and let them fall to the floor. "Looks like someone has missed me a lot," he remarked. "The shift did your body good. I can't wait to make love to you. If you will help me remove my brace and my pants, we can start trying to make Mr. Zach a great-grandfather."
Lex removed the brace and helped Chris stand and remove his dress slacks. Chris slid back on the bed and patted it. Lex crawled into the bed alongside his man. "Also, boys, your dad and I are going to check in on Ben, Claude, and the boys, so try not to get into too much trouble. Besides, you are on your own for supper tonight."
"What did Mr. Z mean by Ben, Claude, and the boys?" Randy commented.
"Yep, while you two were out, Ben had a visitor who brought him and Claude little Reggie and David," Daniel remarked.
With a confused look, Randy and Eric asked who David was. "Granddad Ben's son who was born earlier today," Daniel explained.
Randy was still confused and repeated, "What son?"
"It must be from that big dude that Claude was talking about, you know the one y'all watched Big Ben hammer in the breeding room a while back," Eric remarked.
Randy lowered his head. "Oh yes, that one."
Zach and Luther drove to Ben's home. Luther knocked on the door. Ben opened the door and said, "Be quiet, please. The boys are still asleep, but come on in. They should be up soon enough."
Zach hugged his old friend and had a seat on the sofa. Luther hugged his dad and sat beside his father. Zach asked Claude to have a seat since what he had to say would affect him also.
"Ben, I came into some information about the Russian and his part in the Breeding Program," he began.
"Okay, now you're starting to freak me out a little bit, Z. So what is it?" Ben replied.
"It seems that he was in the Program from the start and he bred a lot of Genmen, sometimes multiple times. All of his partners were knocked out whether it was natural or artificial insemination style, the natural style because of his brutal breeding habits," Zach started.
"Yes, he was very aggressive, and I had to put him in a headlock to slow him down until he finished, and I got away from him. But he is locked away forever. How will all of this affect me?" Ben remarked.
"Dad, I was in the breeding program. Chris, while working on transferring all data to electronic media, found my files. The Russian is the father of all three of my sons," Luther spoke.
Ben started to cry and hugged Luther. "I am so sorry for sending you away. Could you ever forgive me for my actions?"
"Dad, we are all fine. I have three of the greatest boys there are, but there's another possible hitch in the works," Luther responded.
"We haven't told the boys, especially Daniel, until we have DNA swabs done on Hyden because he was also part of the Artificial Insemination program, but we have no idea who his father is," Zach said.
Ben turned white as he knew the results of Genmen interbred. "If, in fact, they are half brothers, the pregnancies will have to be terminated, and that would kill them both," Zach remarked.
Ben thought his DNA results were in his main file unless they had been changed by the farm. "That's why we need a fresh sample. Maybe Chris and Lex would help us find out," Zach remarked.
Claude, who had been quiet throughout the entire discussion, spoke up. "Tell them. They must know the truth of the matter. They have the right to know the fate of their children. If it did come out that they were half brothers, what were you going to do then? Terminate their pregnancies without them knowing? I remember one incident where this same thing happened, and the young Genman was drugged by the ranch, and they terminated his pregnancy. They told him he had fallen and hit his head and lost the baby. He was never the same again, always crying for his baby. He committed suicide weeks later."
Ben, Zach, and Luther agreed that they must be told in time. "Let's wait for a few days because they are at a very critical time in their pregnancies and tired after all of the drama today. And do I need to remind you, Ben, I have a sonogram tomorrow and you the day after, which isn't going to be easy with a toddler and a newborn to care for," Claude interjected.
Everyone agreed to wait for a week before telling them anything. The next day was eventful.
Claude returned to a home that was a disaster. Reggie had demolished it; David was sleeping on Ben's chest. Ben smiled and asked, "How did the visit go, my love?"
"Perfect. It couldn't have gone better. The doctors are pleased," Claude replied.
"Did you bring me home anything?" Ben asked.
"Nope, I didn't go to the store. I didn't have time," Claude responded.
"Pictures, Claude! Did you bring any pictures?" Ben growled.
Claude laughed. "Yes, Ben, I did. Can't you wait for 2 minutes until I get back from the bathroom?"
Ben chuckled. Claude returned to the room carrying two photos. He handed the first one to Ben. On it was written baby A -- Ranger. Ben smiled as he looked at the photo. Claude handed the second photo to Ben. On it was written baby B -- Josephine.
"The boys looked great," Ben replied.
Claude looked at Ben. "Put on your glasses and read the photos again, Father."
"I don't wear glasses. I'm not blind," Ben said. As Ben looked at the 1st photo, he noticed the name and remarked, "Ranger is a great name for a boy, good." He looked at the second photo and saw the name Josephine and laughed. "Someone misspelled this one, but Joseph is also a good name."
Claude took the photo and pointed to the top corner. It said child sex - Female. Ben's eyes opened very wide, and he started to sputter and stutter. "Girl, girl, girl... It's a girl! Are you sure? Are they sure about this?"
Claude pointed to the lower section of the photo. "Look, Ben, there's no equipment there, so yes, I'm very sure we are having a daughter and a son."
Ben was on cloud nine. Claude took the baby so Ben could get out of the chair; he was ecstatic. "Why don't you take the buggy and show the photos to Zach? I'm sure that he will go out of his mind also when he sees them," Claude quietly said.
Zach ran into Lex carrying a fruit tray out of the kitchen, getting ready to head back upstairs. "Boy, that young man is going to need more than fruit to make a baby."
"I know, Grandfather, but Chris is still on a strict diet after the wreck. But he still has plenty of stamina to get the job done, and I'm the patient type," Lex replied.
Zach smiled and told Lex to have fun as he walked into the dining room. Eric was holding his side while sitting in a chair.
"Are you alright there, boy, or do you need me to get a doctor in here?" Zach asked.
"No, Mr. Z, this baby is kicking my butt from the inside," Eric responded.
"Eric, I want you to take the elevator upstairs, and the doctor will be there, and you will follow all his orders," Zach responded.
Eric got out of the chair, cried out in pain, and grabbed his side. Zach hollered out for Luther and Ty to get in the dining room and make it fast. Ty was the first to arrive and grabbed Eric before he fell; Luther was on his other side. Zach grabbed his radio and called an all alert: "Dr. needed at the main house. OB emergency in the dining room."
