Chapter 162 - Chapter 158-1: What You’re Aiming For (Part 1)

Time flew by quickly while handling government affairs.

When the first day of May arrived,

Li De received the familiar system notification as usual.

"Ding~ Vampire Progenitor talent triggered. Each bloodline descendant provides 1 character experience per month. Bloodline count complete—currently 408 bloodline descendants. Progenitor talent grants you 408 character experience."

Payday~

The first day of every month was undoubtedly the happiest day.

Without him having to do anything, he could automatically harvest experience points.

In total, the Vampire Progenitor talent had already provided him with a considerable amount of experience.

In the early months—October, November, December, and January—he gained over 200 points each month, totaling more than 800.

For February, March, and April, these three months combined granted him an additional 1,200 points.

The experience for May would only be available in June.

Over the past six months, Li De had accumulated a total of 2,000 experience points—a completely free income, pure and simple.

It felt amazing.

And this was just the beginning. The better the Vampires developed, the greater his rewards would be. This was why he was eager to expand the Vampires.

It was like increasing his own base salary—nothing could be more satisfying.

What a joy!

The thrill of gaining experience without lifting a finger was beyond words.

Moreover, during this time, both the Crimson Mage Tower and the Vampires were growing stronger, and his level was about to advance.

Li De Kachar

Race: Vampire (Progenitor)

Legend Rating: 5 (+1) Renowned, Legend Rating increases to 6 when in the Underground World.

Level: Mage Lv12 (6,833/8,000), Warrior Lv5

Racial Talents: … (Omitted)

Spells: … (Omitted)

Several months had passed since his last level-up. The last time was when the establishment of the Dawn Order granted him a massive amount of experience, pushing him to Level 12.

The recruitment of apprentices at the Crimson Mage Tower and the growth of the Vampires were continuously adding to his experience. Since the system notifications were too frequent and each addition wasn't significant, Li De had long since disabled the notifications.

After several months of accumulation, he was only a couple hundred points away from reaching Level 13. Once he reached Level 13, he'd be that much closer to Level 15.

Master of the Crimson Mage Tower—the Grand Mage Li De Kachar. Mmm, Li De was quite satisfied with this title.

Of course, the increase in experience was secondary. What excited Li De the most was this:

After nearly half a year of preaching, the Dawn Order had finally undergone a significant transformation.

Dawn Order:

God of Dawn — Li De Kachar (Pseudo-God)

Divine Spells: 0

Divine Duties: Vampires, Blood

Doctrine: Self-improvement, perseverance, unity, fearless bravery, love for family and country.

Number of Temples: 1

Number of Followers: Zealot 1, Devout Believers 138, Believers 589, Casual Believers 3,567

Faith Energy: 630 points

Current Available Class Transfer — Dawn Priest (Requires 200 Faith Energy)

Clergy Members of the Dawn Temple: Bishop Priest — Emi Kachar

The newly added attributes of Divine Duties and Doctrine were unlocked after the number of believers surpassed 100.

Undoubtedly, Emi's efforts over the past few months had yielded remarkable results. The number of followers of the Dawn Order had skyrocketed countless times.

Although 3,000+ followers seemed small compared to the city's population of over 9,000 residents, this couldn't be judged so simply.

In the world of Glory, almost all commoners had their own gods to worship, and many worshipped with great devotion.

Thus, the Dawn Order's preaching was essentially competing with other gods for followers. Most of the Dawn Order's believers had converted from other gods.

Therefore, this data was already quite impressive.

If this had happened anywhere else, such large-scale poaching of believers would have immediately drawn the attention and caution of other religious orders.

But in Dawn City, it didn't matter—everything was under Li De's control.

Besides, it was better to keep the benefits within the family. Whether they worshipped other gods or the Dawn Order, the doctrines he preached were full of positive energy and uplifting ideals.

They were far better than those vague doctrines of other cults and religions.

What excited Li De the most about the expansion of the Dawn Order wasn't anything else—it was finally accumulating enough Faith Energy.

He hadn't forgotten that Faith Energy could allow commoners to transition into priests of the Dawn Order.

Priests! These were exclusive to temples. Now he was about to possess this class system—it held immense significance.

Though its impact might not be obvious now, Li De had a premonition that, in the future, priests of the Dawn Order would undoubtedly occupy an important position in Dawn City.

However, with only 600 Faith Energy, he could only convert three priests. This number was still pitifully low.

Forget forming a priest legion—even assembling a team of ten was impossible.

But regardless, this was the first step.

The growth of the Dawn Order—from its birth to its expansion—was filled with coincidences. Even Li De hadn't anticipated that he would inexplicably end up with a religious order of his own, and that he would become a god worshipped by thousands of people.

Life was truly fascinating.

Li De shook his head and stepped out of his office, heading toward the Dawn Church.

As soon as he exited the City Hall, four vampire guards immediately followed behind him.

Though safety wasn't an issue in Dawn City, guards were a symbol of status. As the Progenitor of the Vampires, Lord of Dawn, and God of Dawn, such a prestigious figure couldn't appear unprotected—it would be too embarrassing.

This arrangement was made by Harrison. Despite Li De's reluctance, he had no choice but to accept.

Upon leaving the City Hall, the bustling streets came into view.

The ground, paved with bluestone, was clean, and the soil between the stones had been swept away by the logistics team.

The passing crowds predominantly featured Central European features—high noses and blue eyes.

Most wore white or gray clothes, though the majority were made of coarse linen.

Only a small portion could afford better cotton clothing.

There was a distinct exotic charm in the air.

Li De glanced to the side, where several children were playing and laughing. Their joyful expressions made it easy to forget worries.

A sweaty middle-aged man approached with an angry look, grabbing one mischievous child and giving them a beating—apparently, the boy had done something wrong again.

Among the moving crowd and casual conversations, the atmosphere was carefree. The gleam in their eyes was something absent in the million-strong population of Green City.

Passersby who recognized Li De showed nothing but respect and gratitude.

Many followers of the Dawn Order quickly stepped back and deeply bowed to him with their hands on their chests, as if devout believers had encountered their god.

With a faint smile, Li De nodded to acknowledge the crowd.

The City Hall was only two to three hundred blades away from the Dawn Church—a distance covered in just a few minutes.

Even though Li De went out every day, each outing drew countless gazes.

There was no helping it. In this city, he was the sole master, as well as a god walking among mortals—no one could resist being curious about him.

Even catching a glimpse of him felt like an honor.
