[TRENDING ON GOD X
#ELLA THE GREAT
#KILL THE BROTHER
#LUCAS THE GOAT]
They started trending the moment she said those words.
I looked at the boy, who looked away.
Coward.
I walked towards him.
"Are you okay?" I did not care about him. I wanted to make him feel guilty.
"Huh?" He seemed confused. Good.
"You got beat up, and lost a tooth, are you doing better?" Rubbing sound on his wound almost made me laugh.
"I'm sorry." A whisper, I could barely hear it.
But I did hear it.
"Pardon?" I urged him to repeat it.
"I'm sorry!" He yelled.
"I'm the one who should be sorry, you lost a tooth, all because you badmouthed me, I am so sorry." My voice was kind, but I know he was dying.
He looked like he would cry.
And I realized he was nine.
I was seven.
All of us were kids with weights heavier than ourselves.
Aristocracy was ridiculous.
"Lucas," he started, a tear falling.
"I'm so sorry, I was jealous that you were getting all the attention!" I know, but you should cry.
And I patted his head, "All of us make mistakes, it's fine!"
I smiled, "It hurt me a lot, but I'm sure it hurts you more!"
Kill first, forgive later, was my motto.
I killed him, time to forgive him.
[But there were no knives?]----28889+Gods
Of course, there weren't, this is a little kid.
Shitty Gods.
I sighed and went to Ella.
When our eyes met, she told me Raine was in the tent.
I could hear hashtag-telepath-Ella trending.
But I ignored it and went to my tent.
Raine was playing with leaves.
She turned to me.
Looked at the leaves, then me.
A single tear fell.
"Lucas, I'm sorry!" She started crying and I went over to her, she reached out to me and I hugged her, "Please don't hate me!"
"Don't leave me!" I could feel my shirt getting wetter and wetter.
Some part of me felt happy that she cared.
The other parts hated that happy part.
"I'm sorry too, Raine, I yelled at you," I patted her back, "You definitely needed to be scolded, but not like that."
"It's fine, even if a fly won't care I know you will, cause you are even worse." She hugged me, I laughed.
And soon we fell asleep.
We were woken up by Mia, she was trembling.
"What?" I scowled
"The Noble Duke, he has come!" Her voice shrieky.
So?
Wait.
Fuck.
I woke up and got dressed and Raine was woken up too.
I went and saw Ella bowing.
To the duke.
My eyes met Illaine's. Her eyes looked dim, standing beside her father.
Her brother stood there with the duke, his black eye darker and he was trembling.
Ella continued to bow. Her back straight.
"Ah, the son of the great Count Green." I went over and bowed
"I thought he was a useless bud with how Green kept him out of sight." He continued.
"But, his maid hit my son." I could tell it did not matter that his son was hurt, what it mattered was someone dare do something against someone with his name/
Bloody aristocrats.
"Duke Noble, the maid is merely seven, she mistakenly hit him, I thoroughly apologize, please forgive us!" Ella's voice trembled.
It shook like it never did.
"Lord Noble," I said and he looked at me.
"Please forgive my maid's indiscipline, please pardon her, your grace."
"Let me see the maid."
Raine walked over.
"A beautiful one this one," he said in a voice that should not be used for children.
No.
No.
No.
I trembled.
"Sir, she is a child, she did not know any better—"
"Shut up!" He cut Ella off completely.
"I have decided, if this girl, becomes mine, I'll let you go, or one of you dies,"
"Please take my life, then, my grace." Both me and Ella say at the same time.
"A master and head maid deciding to die for a piece of meat?" He laughed, his ugly fingers rubbing his beard. "This is amusing."
"My lord, I can do anything you want, please don't hurt them," Raine fell to the ground and pleaded.
And none of us could say anything.
One move.
One wrong move and everything would be over.
"Lord Noble." The voice of my father came through, his voice cold.
"Oh, Count Green, what a surprise, your son almost gave his life for a maid, but the thing knew its place." The Duke laughed.
I want to kill this bastard.
"Yes, my son is known for his foolishness, pardon me," Luke Green looked at me.
"I assume you will be taking her and leaving him." Luke Green said, holding my arms.
"Yes." The duke went over to Raine who had not stood up, about to touch her.
"No!" I ran over and covered her.
"Please,"
"My…my body could be just as warm." My words trembled and my body shivered and I felt nauseous.
But I won't let Raine go through anything like.
Not as long as I am alive.
Even if I am dead.
"That's true, a boy would be a firmer toy." The man laughed and laughed and I hoped he would choke.
I could find Raine trembling against me.
"Don't worry shitty heroine, I'll always protect you." I whispered.
She shivered even more violently.
The Duke pulled me by my arm.
"Well, boys are half women, so it would be fun!" He caressed my face, I tried not to throw up.
"I apologize to interfere, but I cannot allow you to take my son." My father looked scared.
"Don't worry, no one will know, it's not like your son matters." The Duke dragged me, but my father held my arm.
"I still don't think it is a good choice, you should take the little maid, it may not be good to share your bed with a boy, regardless of age." My father insisted.
"No!" I cried, "Raine won't go, please."
The duke chuckled.
"You sure raised an interesting one."
Raine's fingers dug into the ground.
"Lord, what you are doing is against the law?" My father said.
"If no one knows—"
"But everyone will know," Luke Green said, his voice biting, "Touch my son and let me tell you, I will make sure the Noble duchy goes down."
"As if you have the power to," The bastard laughed.
"Let's see, you forty-five illegitimate children." My father started, his brown eyes calm and steady.
"I am a duke, I need a good heir." Pure dismissal from the bastard.
"The recent money embezzlement," my father counted coldly.
"I am a duke, what are filthy commoners going to do with the money?" He laughed, how dare he!
"Your plan to dethrone the current king and take the kingdom." My father said, and looked at the man, his lips thin and dry.
The duke did not reply.
"Good to see we have reached an agreement."
My father smiled.
The duke did not.
Then the bastard laughed.
"Good one, Lord Green, you win." He clapped.
"Not for long, so be careful." He walked away.
His stare lingered on me.
And he walked away.
Away.
I wish he goes so far that I won't have to ever even think of him.
My father grabbed me and hugged me.
"What are you doing? Sacrificing for a maid?" His words, for the first time were warmer than ice.
"She is more of a family than you." I replied.
"You are right, but she can't save you like me, so remain my son till you can stand on your own." My father did not speak like he was emotionally constipated.
He spoke like a human.
Albeit a very shitty human.
He stood up and walked away.
Illaine rushed to me and Raine.
She did not speak.
She just hugged as though we had did once.
But right now, I did not like Illaine.
Not because she did anything wrong.
But because she reminded me of her father with the same red eyes and blonde hair.
I pushed her away.
She blinked.
"Ella let's go home, I feel sick."
I did not look at Illaine.
And I went home.
The camp was fucking over.
