Lina stood before the crowd, her eyes cast downward in shame. "I'm not here because of my husband's success, nor am I here to try to take my place back. I've already missed that opportunity, and I don't think there's any redemption for me now."
She took a deep breath, her voice trembling as she continued. "I humiliated my husband in public the day I brought home my first car. To be honest, I didn't even buy the car myself. It was a gift from my new lover at the time. He was the one who backed me up when I was humiliating my husband, but I was blind to his true intentions. I fell into his trap, and he cheated me out of all my money. I haven't been able to reach him since."
Lina's eyes welled up with tears as she thought about her past mistakes. "I don't know how I let things get so out of hand. My business was thriving back then, but as soon as my husband left, everything started to fall apart. I was ungrateful to him, and I realize now that he was the one who gave me the money to start my business in the first place."
She looked up at her ex-husband, her eyes filled with remorse. "What you said is true, and I'm only now realizing it. Please, just forgive me, and we can go our separate ways. I'm not worthy of being called your wife again."
Lina's voice cracked as she spoke, her body shaking with sobs. "I was manipulated, and I'm the reason for my own downfall. I let my own pride and selfishness destroy everything that truly mattered to me."
