Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Moon Goats

The Loud parents, as well as Pop-Pop, stand with their hands on their hips as Lori rises nervously from her seat.

Lori: "Now, I know this looks bad, but—"

Rita: "No, Lori. There is no 'but.' What were you thinking? You could've seriously hurt Lincoln!"

Lori: (desperately trying to explain) "I-I was just upset that Lincoln made Bobby break up with me!"

Phantom: (his hands tightening into fists as he overhears) "So that gives you the right to harm your younger brother?"

Lori: (glaring) "You stay out of it! This is a family issue, so butt out!"

Pop-Pop: "Watch that tone, young lady! As I've said before, he's an old friend—and he brings up a valid point. Do you really think that gives you the right to hurt Lincoln? And from what's been said, force him on a date?"

Lori flinches. She's never heard Pop-Pop speak to them like this before.

Lori: "I was just using my rights as the oldest to make everything better. Plus, it all worked out."

Lincoln: "Only because I had to be the adult—again—and fix everything."

Lori: (glaring at him, trying to keep control) "Be quiet. You're just going to ruin everything," she hissed.

Lincoln: "For who? You? Lori, the only reason it turned out well was because I swallowed my pride again. Because if I didn't, you'd complain, sulk, cry, take your anger out on me, blame me for everything, and get the rest of our sisters to take your side."

Lori: (rolling her eyes) "Oh, how mature of you, Lincoln—playing the victim," she said, her sarcasm so thick it nearly choked her. "Leave this conversation to the adults. All you ever do is make things worse."

Lincoln's hair shadows his eyes as he clenches his fists tightly. Just as he's about to say something, Watcher lets out a cold laugh.

Watcher: "You actually think Lincoln makes everything worse?" (He laughs coldly again, and the room suddenly grows cold.) "You're nothing more than a child throwing tantrums. Lincoln is the one who does the most for your pathetic family."

Lori clenches her hands tightly, trying to hold her ground.

Lori: "Who asked you!? You're just a robe-wearing creep who kidnapped us. What gives you the right to have an opinion on things that don't involve you? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?"

Watcher: "Silence!"

A crushing pressure fills the room. Many fall to their knees as two glowing red eyes shine through Watcher's hood. Lori is held in place by an invisible force—her arms pinned to her sides and an invisible coil tightening around her neck.

Lori's eyes widen in fear, realizing she made a grave mistake as Watcher slowly approaches.

Watcher: (stopping just in front of her) "You want to know what I am?"

He leans in. Though she still can't make out his face, those eyes terrify her. His next words shake everyone to their core.

Watcher: "I'm a god."

He lifts his hand—only to be struck in the cheek by a fist.

Everyone gasps. Lincoln stands there, arm extended, slightly trembling from the strain of the punch.

Watcher: (unfazed, looking at Lincoln) "Why did you do that?"

Lincoln: (gulping, but staring into Watcher's eyes) "I know she probably deserves it… but she's still my sister."

They lock eyes in tense silence. Then, Watcher smiles and releases Lori. The pressure in the room disappears.

Lori collapses to the floor, gasping for breath as her family rushes to her side.

Watcher: (glaring down at Lori, now terrified along with the rest) "So… how does it feel to be saved by the brother who, in your own words, 'makes everything worse?' Hmm?"

Lori looks around but says nothing, terrified of provoking him again.

Watcher turns back to Lincoln and rests a hand on his shoulder.

Watcher: "I'll let that punch slide… just this once. Only because I wanted to see what you would do."

Dracula, now standing protectively closer to his wife and daughter, speaks up, his hands slightly shaking.

Dracula: "Why did you want to see the boy's reaction?"

Watcher: "To give you an example—of how much he cares for his family. And how… that will change in the future."

Confused expressions spread across the room, especially on Lincoln's face as a cold chill runs through him.

Lincoln: "What do you mean?"

Watcher: "Sorry, but I'm not going to spoil it. Now—back to your seats."

Everyone slowly returns to their seats. The Phantom sits a little closer to Lincoln now, eyeing him and his family with a thoughtful expression.

Frankenteen: (whispering to the other monster parents) "Okay, so I'm starting to believe Phantom has the right idea. We've only seen three viewings, and I already think we need to keep an eye on that boy and his family."

Vanna: "I agree. Maybe we should let him sit with us."

Dracula: "Let's not jump to anything yet. He may be Albert's grandson, but we don't know enough about the boy himself. These viewings will show us the truth—unbiased and raw."

Mummy: "I don't like invading someone's privacy, especially when it shows us their inner thoughts. But I agree. We'll see who he really is." (Glancing at Lincoln) "Though he already has my respect. First, calming the tensions between our two groups… then punching a god to protect his sister."

Wolfman: (nodding) "He's earned my respect too. But I have a feeling it's only the beginning of how much I'll come to like that boy."

Watcher silently chuckles, already anticipating the Gator Incident… and how Lincoln will eventually meet their daughters.

As the group settles down, Lori glances toward Bobby, who notices but turns away. Lori's smile fades, guilt heavy in her chest.

Watcher: "Alright, everyone. It's time. Moon Goats… I believe you'll remember this day very well."

The Moon Goats all grin, suddenly cheering—much to Lincoln's embarrassment.

Sibella: "I'm guessing this is a good one?"

Sully: "You bet it is!"

Chuck: "Little Loud was awesome!"

Mazzy: "I can't believe we get to experience it again!"

Sam: "I know, right!? This is gonna rock!"

Everyone turns to the screen, ready to see what got them all so excited.

(Lincoln's POV)

Luna and I hopped into Chuck's van. He's a friend of Luna and a really chill guy, so he seems alright. As soon as we got in, he and Luna started talking about the new sound equipment they got. But every once in a while, I could feel Luna's eyes glance at me.

Luna: "You knew I was keeping an eye on you?"

Lincoln: "I've dealt with you girls spying on me for years—it's pretty obvious."

Watcher: (mutters) "If only you could pick up on a woman's feelings like that."

Lincoln: Tilts his head in confusion "Hm? You say something, Watcher?"

Watcher: "Nothing at all."

"Hey little dude," Chuck said to me all of a sudden. "Thanks for offering to help set up the equipment. It's not just some new speakers, but a slightly complicated sound system, so you helping out means a lot."

"It's fine. I didn't have any plans for today, so helping you guys out gives me something to do," I said with a smile to show my sincerity.

"Ha! Luna always talks about how you help out," Chuck said with a good-natured laugh. "You were right, love—he seems like a good brother," he told Luna, his British accent coming out.

Luna smiled and seemed to relax a little, but she still gave me a glance when she thought I wasn't paying attention.

Soon, we made it to the home of Sam Sharp, one of Luna's bandmates and her best friend/crush. Sam is a thin girl with light skin, blonde shoulder-length hair with a teal streak in her bangs, and four pairs of eyelashes. She has two helix piercings in each ear and wears pink eyeshadow.

"Crush?!"

Many people turned to the purple rocker, whose face was bright red as she tried to vanish into her seat.

The Loud sisters all squealed as they bombarded Luna with questions.

"We can go shopping for the perfect outfit for you!"

"When's the first date?!"

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?!"

Luna: Nervous and feeling pressured "Um… well I—"

Watcher: Smirks "It's because she doesn't want you girls to meddle in it like how you all do with Lincoln."

Lola: "Pfft, that's not true, right Luna?"

Luna avoided making eye contact with them—giving them her answer.

Watcher: "Wow, and yet you always go along with them when it's Lincoln's business. At least he kept it a secret."

Luna saw the expressions on her sisters' faces, especially Luan's, since she believed—being roommates—that she would have been the first to know.

Sam, however, didn't know how to feel. On one hand, she is bi and flattered that Luna had a crush on her. But at the same time, she wasn't sure if she liked Luna like that. Plus, the way Luna acted toward Lincoln—even though she said they got along great—made Sam feel hesitant to touch that subject.

Sam's outfit consisted of a short teal leather jacket with a crimson patch bearing a white skull on the back, a white T-shirt with a logo in the center, a pair of deep burgundy jeans with two slight holes at the knees, a black belt with silver studs, and dark purple boots.

Through the open garage door, they saw Sam talking to Luna's other bandmates:

Sully, a teenage boy with short brown hair. He wore white circular earrings, an iron chain necklace with a padlock, a light purple shirt, black leather jacket, blue jeans, and dark purple boots. Mazzy, a thin teenage girl with dark reddish-brown hair that concealed her eyes and purple lipstick. She wore a black and white striped shirt, a light sea-foam jacket, dark gray skirt, white stockings, and a pair of dark teal sneakers.

"Hey guys, it's great that you made it! I can't wait to set this baby up," Sully said excitedly. Then he noticed me and asked, confused, "Hey, what's with the kid? You guys babysitting or something?"

Sam: "No, Sully—that's Luna's little brother, Lincoln."

We've met on a number of occasions.

Luna: "Yeah, Link here offered to give us a hand."

Mazzy: "Really? That's great, because Chuck dropped this stuff off before going to get you dudes, and we can't seem to figure it out."

Luna: "No worries. With the whole band working on this, it'll be done in no time." She turned to me. "Hey Link, you can just sit on the couch and we'll holler if we need help, okay?"

Luna: Sighs as she remembers this part "I should've just let you help."

Mazzy: Turns to Watcher "We're not going to watch it all, right?"

Watcher: "Don't worry, it will skip it."

Carlota: "What's wrong? What are we skipping?"

I shrugged my shoulders and sat down.

Luna: "Okay gang, let's do this!" she said, as they all looked pumped up.

The Moon Goats all groaned.

2 Hours Later

(No POV)

The Moon Goats all sat down looking defeated. No matter what they did, they couldn't figure out how to set it up.

"Okay, this is a lot harder than I thought," Luna said with a sigh. "Let's just take a break and try to figure it out later."

Sid groaned, "Two hours!? Did it not come with instructions?"

The Moon Goats began to sweat nervously.

Sully mumbled, "There were instructions…"

Carlos added, "We've been sitting here for two hours and made zero progress. How bad could those instructions be?"

The others chuckled nervously, avoiding eye contact. Everyone gave them strange looks, wondering what they were hiding.

They nodded in defeat, exhausted.

"Mind if I give it a try?" Lincoln asked, reminding them he was there to help.

"Go ahead, little Loud," Sully said, confused. "But if the five of us couldn't do it, what makes you think you can?"

"Just give me five minutes," Lincoln replied confidently, stepping up.

The Moon Goats watched as Lincoln grabbed the speaker pieces and began assembling them like he'd done it a hundred times. He quickly untangled the cords with nimble fingers, connected them to the soundboard, and turned to the group with a smirk.

"See? Five minutes," he said, trying not to laugh at their stunned faces.

Most of the audience mirrored the same dumbfounded expressions.

Winnie blinked, "Whoa… that was fast."

Carlino asked, "Why didn't you get him to do it from the start!?"

Luna groaned, "I wish I did."

Tsuki, surprised by how naturally Lincoln talked to her—no nervous stuttering, no fearful looks, just calm eye contact—asked, "Did you have experience setting those up?"

Lincoln shrugged, "Nope. But I had a trick."

Tsuki smiled, curious. "What is it?"

Watcher/Lincoln (in unison): "Spoilers."

They shared a look and high-fived.

"Bro, how did you do that? We've been at it for hours!" Luna asked in disbelief.

"Well, there was a little trick to it," Lincoln replied with a grin.

"And what could that be?" Sully asked eagerly.

Lincoln held up a thin booklet. "I just read the manual."

They stared at him for a full minute before Chuck burst out laughing. Soon, everyone else joined in.

The audience laughed too—even Gila laughed from inside her bubble.

Tsuki, trying to stop laughing: "Wow, impressive trick."

Lincoln: does an exaggerated bow "Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week."

Everyone laughed louder before settling down.

"Hahaha—oh man, this one's on us," Chuck said, still laughing. "Thanks, little Loud. We couldn't have done it without you."

"It was no problem," Lincoln replied just before his stomach gave a loud GROWL. He looked down, blushing slightly.

"Bro, with how much you ate this morning, you're still that hungry?" Luna asked, surprised.

"Hey, you know what? Let's go to the Burpin' Burger," Mazzy suggested. "I worked up an appetite."

Everyone agreed, and they all hopped into Chuck's van. Sully called shotgun, Luna got a window seat, and Lincoln ended up sitting between Sam and Mazzy.

"So Lincoln," Mazzy said, "I've gotta ask—how did you convince your parents to let you bleach your hair white like that?"

That made Luna, Chuck, and Sam laugh.

"I didn't have to," Lincoln answered. "My hair is naturally this color."

"Really?" Mazzy leaned over to check his roots. "Whoa, that's cool. And hey—your hair is so soft too!" She started running her fingers through it. Lincoln blushed.

"Let me feel," Sam said, rubbing his head. "Wow, you're right. It's so soft and silky! Luna, you've got to feel this!"

Leni's eyes widened in realization. "That's right!"

She got up and walked over to pet Lincoln's head.

Leni: "OMG, Luna was right. Your hair is totes soft!"

Lynn: "You're telling me she's still hung up about that?"

Lori: "Lynn, it's Leni."

Lynn: "Oh, right."

Sam got up from her seat again. "Hey, I wanna pet his hair again."

Mazzy followed, "Same here."

Carlota: "Oooh, let me try! Come on, Mamá, Tía!"

Carlota dragged Frida and Maria over to join in.

Sid: "Let's go, Ronnie Anne."

Ronnie Anne: "What!? Why?"

Sid: "Just cuz."

Lincoln turned beet red as a crowd of girls surrounded him, gently running their fingers through his hair.

Wolfman blinked. "Like I said, my respect is still growing."

Phantom: "Looks like steam is coming out the poor boy's ears."

Vanna: "I should go check."

Dracula: "If smoke is coming out of his ears or how soft his hair is?"

Vanna: "Yes. Come on, girls."

The monster dads blinked as Vanna led Sibella, Phantasma, Elsa, Winnie, and Tanis over. Milly took notes. Tsuki stayed seated, while Gila looked a little sad she couldn't join in.

Vanna reached Lincoln. "Mind if we join?"

Lincoln, face red as a tomato, muttered, "Everyone's already doing it, so… you can too."

The ghouls gently touched his hair, marveling like the rest.

Winnie: "It's softer than my fur."

Sibella: "I wish my hair was this soft."

Phantasma: "Me too."

Elsa: "Me three."

For the next few minutes, Lincoln sat there while nearly every female in the audience admired his silky hair.

Watcher, struggling not to laugh: "Okay, ladies. I think he can't get any redder."

They all looked—Lincoln's face was bright crimson. They giggled, then returned to their seats.

Carlino, arms crossed: "Lucky…"

Luna shrugged. She had already rubbed his hair before, but reached out again just to humor her bandmates. Her eyes widened.

"Bro… your hair was never this soft before. What's your secret?" Luna asked.

The other teenage girls leaned in eagerly.

Women in the audience also leaned in to hear.

"Is my hair really that soft?" Lincoln asked. "I never really thought about it… so I guess it's all natural."

"Dang it," said the collective voice of the women.

"You know there are women who would kill for your hair because theirs gives them so much trouble," Sam stated.

For the rest of the car ride, Lincoln's head continued to be gently rubbed.

At Burpin' Burger

A fast food joint in Royal Woods.

The Moon Goats sat down with their food before realizing someone was missing.

"Hey, has anyone seen Lincoln?" Luna asked, looking around.

"I think he's still getting his food," Sully replied.

Just then, Lincoln walked toward them. Everyone's eyes widened when they saw his tray—dozens of large burgers, several jumbo chili cheese fries, and four large lemonades.

Jaws dropped.

Wolfman: "I'm guessing he's hungry."

Rosa: "That's it. When this is all over, I'm cooking a feast for this boy. No questions asked."

Carlos: "Hold on, Mamá… that's a lot, even for a hungry kid."

Frida: "He's right. Even if it's a growth spurt, that's too much food for one boy."

The Moon Goats and Lincoln stayed quiet.

"Little dude, how and why did you buy all of this?" Sully asked, eyes nearly popping out.

"Well, I had a lot of allowance saved up—though paying for all this took a big chunk of it. And I've just been really hungry lately," Lincoln replied as he dug into the mountain of food.

"My sister Lisa said he might be going through a growth spurt," Luna explained to her bandmates, watching her brother devour burger after burger.

"Must be some growth spurt if he has to eat like that," Sam said, staring.

In just a few minutes, Lincoln's tray was covered in wrappers. His cups were empty.

He leaned back and let out a loud, satisfied BURP.

No one could take their eyes off the screen, shocked at seeing someone so skinny eat so much.

Winnie: Blinks "Whoa."

Miss Grimwood: "Oh my."

Rosa: Looks at her son and his wife "You were saying?"

Carlos: Still staring at the screen "Go ahead, I can't stop you now."

Rosa nodded, already planning what she would cook for Lincoln.

Sam: "Okay, seriously. You better go through some major growth spurt, or I'm gonna be jealous that you can eat all of that and not gain any weight."

The others agreed.

Sam: Whining "And it was good—but it's still not fair."

Many people nodded as they looked at Lincoln sitting in the audience. He was tall enough to pass for a short teenager and clearly fit, leaning more toward a lean build.

Lincoln: Looking around, confused "What?"

Sam: Hisses through her teeth "So jealous…"

Everyone—especially the women—felt the same way, while Lincoln remained utterly confused.

"Attention, everyone! May I have your attention, please!" The manager of the restaurant called out, carrying a guitar case. "Today we've received a generous donation, along with instructions to give this guitar to the person who has eaten the most. If they can play it well—and it has to be a love song—they can keep it."

The manager walked over to the booth where Lincoln had eaten and handed him the case.

Eyebrows raised, Lincoln opened it to reveal a beautiful black guitar that looked like it had been carved from the night sky itself. The strings shimmered like woven starlight, seemingly made of the purest silver. He plucked one, and the perfect tone that rang out captured everyone's attention.

Luna: Eyes wide "No way!"

She and her bandmates stared at it like Lincoln was holding the Holy Grail.

Luna: "Bro, that's an Acoustasonic guitar! Those are rare as it is—they can switch between electric and acoustic—but that one is the greatest. No one knows who made it. It's the only one of its kind in the whole world. It's worth serious money."

Everyone was mesmerized by the beauty of the guitar.

Dusk: "Seeing it again like this makes it even more beautiful."

Luna (H): "I know. It looks like a piece of the night sky itself."

Watcher: "It is."

All eyes turned to Watcher, wide with disbelief.

Phanty: "What?"

Watcher: Shrugs "It was carved out of the night sky. Its strings are woven from starlight."

Miss Grimwood: "But that's impossible! Even the most powerful witches and warlocks couldn't do such a thing. So who could've possibly created this?"

Lincoln looked the guitar over when, for a split second, he heard a whisper:

"Hope you like it."

The audience blinked—suddenly, it all made sense.

Milly: "So they planned for him to come here… just to give him that?"

Watcher: "Right you are, Milly. They planned it all—even before his birth. They let the guitar's existence be known, but kept it hidden until the right time."

Bobby: "That's amazing!"

Luna: "Wait—I always thought it was worth, like, a hundred thousand… how much is it actually worth?"

Watcher: Face-palms "It's literally a piece of the night sky. It's priceless. But if you had to sell it… billions."

Everyone's jaws dropped.

Lola: "WE'RE RICH!"

Many of the Louds began cheering—except Lucy, Lana, and surprisingly, Luna.

Lincoln: "Wrong. I'm not selling the guitar."

Everyone: "WHAT!?"

Lynn: "Lincoln, I'm not usually the smart one—okay, not that dumb, not Leni-level—but come on! Billions!"

Lincoln: "Doesn't matter. I like the guitar."

Lori: "But you could buy a new one with that money!"

Luna: "Sorry, guys—but Link said no."

Luan: Surprised "Really, Luna?"

Luna: "Hey, a musician's instrument is their lifeline."

The Moon Goats, as well as every other musician in the audience—including Phantasma—nodded in agreement.

Lincoln gave a small smile. He knew who had made it now and couldn't help but feel joy in his heart.

"Thank you, guys," he thought.

Manager: "Well, young man, are you ready to show us what you've got?"

Lincoln held the guitar properly, looked around, then closed his eyes… and began to play.

(By Shawn Mendes)

Everyone was nodding to the beat as Lincoln started to sing.

Phantasma: "Wow. Look at his hands go—he's keeping a solid beat too."

Luna: Chuckles "Just wait till he hits that first line."

Many were getting into it, nodding along.

I wanna follow where she goes

I think about her and she knows it

I wanna let her take control

'Cause every time that she gets close, yeah

No one expected a voice like that to come from an 11-year-old. But the way he sang made many of the women around him blush.

The same went for those in the audience who hadn't heard him before.

Bobby: "Nice voice, Link."

Lincoln: "Thanks, Bobby."

Clyde: "So, you finally decided to sing in public?"

Ronnie Anne: "Clyde… you knew?"

Clyde: "We have walkie-talkies. He forgot to turn his end off once, so I ended up hearing him sing."

Ronnie Anne: "Huh." She turned back to the screen.

She pulls me in enough to keep me guessin', hmm

And maybe I should stop and start confessin'

Confessin', yeah

Oh, I've been shakin'

I love it when you go crazy

You take all my inhibitions

Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back

You take me places that tear up my reputation

Manipulate my decisions

Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back

There's nothing holdin' me back

There's nothing holdin' me back

She says that she's never afraid

Just picture everybody naked

She really doesn't like to wait

Not really into hesitation

Pulls me in enough to keep me guessin', whoa-oh

And maybe I should stop and start confessin'

Confessin', yeah

Oh, I've been shakin'

I love it when you go crazy

You take all my inhibitions

Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back

You take me places that tear up my reputation

Manipulate my decisions

Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back

There's nothing holdin' me back

'Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far

I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright

If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark

I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright

'Cause if we lost our minds and we took it way too far

I know we'd be alright, I know we would be alright

If you were by my side and we stumbled in the dark

I know we'd be alright, we would be alright

Oh, I've been shakin'

I love it when you go crazy

You take all my inhibitions

Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back

You take me places that tear up my reputation

Manipulate my decisions

Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back, oh-whoa

There's nothing holdin' me back

I feel so free when you're with me, baby

Baby, there's nothing holdin' me back

When Lincoln finished, he opened his eyes and noticed everyone silently staring at him. He began to grow nervous.

"Maybe they didn't like the song," he thought.

But then—the entire restaurant burst into applause.

Lincoln smiled, blushing in embarrassment.

The audience watching from afar also applauded, and Lincoln blushed just like his on-screen self.

"That was a marvelous performance!"

"Such a beautiful song."

"Fantastic singing!"

"Way to go!"

Winnie: "Wow, he's great. Maybe you two can do a duet, Phanty?"

No reply.

Winnie: (Noticing Phantasma floating slightly with a light blue blush) "Phantasma? You okay?"

Phanty: (Snaps out of it) "Huh? Oh yes, I'm good—and I like the sound of doing a duet with him."

Winnie: (Smirks knowingly) "Yeah I bet it does."

Dracula: (Looks at The Phantom with a teasing smirk) "Looks like your daughter is smitten, hmm?"

Phantom: (Rolls his eyes, then notices something himself and smirks) "Oh, but what about your own daughter, Dracula?"

Dracula turns to see Sibella wearing the same dreamy expression as Phantasma. He crosses his arms and sulks while Vanna laughs at her husband.

Bobby: (Turns to his family and points at Ronnie Anne, who is red-faced and jaw-dropped)

"That was amazing!"

"Rocking performance, little dude!"

"So cool!"

The blush on Lincoln's face deepens as the Moon Goats continue to praise him. It only gets worse when Mazzy adds—

Mazzy: "I didn't know you could make your voice so sexy."

Everyone looks at her.

Mazzy: (Shrugs) "What? We were all thinking it."

They silently agree but choose not to voice it.

Mazzy: (Points at the screen) "Ha! So you all were thinking it too!"

The Moon Goats all roll their eyes at her.

Store Manager: "Well, young man, that guitar is now yours. Have a great day, and please come again!"

Lincoln: "Thank you so much." (He replies as the manager walks away.)

Luna: (Steps forward) "Bro, why didn't you ever tell me you could play like that? And I've never heard that song before—who's it by?"

Lincoln: "Well… I didn't really have a reason to say anything until now. And as for the song—that was me. I wrote it based on a past experience, like most of the songs I make."

Everyone is shocked to hear that Lincoln wrote the song himself.

Lincoln (thinking): "Well, they're songs that my other selves made—but they feel like mine. I guess this is what they meant when they said the connection between us might make me feel this way."

Sam: "Wait—time out. So are they his songs, or are they not?"

Watcher: "They are his. Each Lincoln, in some way, shape, or form, is connected. Music is one of those certainties—they put their very being into each note, word, line, and beat. From the good… and the bad."

They all hear the sadness in his voice when he mentions "the bad," which sends a shiver down their spines.

Sam: "Wait, you wrote more songs? What genres?" (She asks as they head toward Chuck's van.)

Lincoln: "Love, sad, metal, rock, classic, rap… even some suggestive songs." (He blushes on the last part.)

They all blush as Luna whips around to face her little brother.

Lincoln: "Before you say anything—I only wrote those because a friend dared me to. And no, it's not someone you or our sisters know about."

Luna: (Groans, blushing) "Now we know that's not true… and I hope I don't ever have to hear one."

Watcher: (Smirks) "Sorry. But on the bright side—it'll be in the far future."

Mixed reactions erupt. The older Loud sisters are disgusted and embarrassed. Some people are curious. Others feel awkward. A few just blush.

Lana: "What's a suggestive song?"

Many flinch at the question as the younger kids look to their parents.

Lincoln: "They'll tell you when you're older. So let's just enjoy this."

Lincoln then wishes for cookies and hands them out to the kids, distracting them. The parents give him grateful looks.

As they all get into the van, Luna starts keeping a closer eye on her brother. Eventually, Chuck drops them off.

Luna's friend: "It was fun having Lincoln around—you should bring him more often."

Inside the house—

Lincoln: (Yawns) "I'm feeling tired, Luna. I'll just take a nap. Call me for dinner."

Luna: "Sure, bro. See you at dinner." (She watches him enter his room. As soon as the door closes, she barges into Lori and Leni's room.)

Lori: (Annoyed) "Luna, do you mind? I'm literally in the middle of a very important phone call."

Luna: "We need to call a sister meeting. Now. It's about Lincoln."

Lori hangs up immediately.

Lori: "Bobby, I'll call you back." (She turns to Luna.) "Gather the others. Meet me here in five minutes."

Lincoln: "Wow, so you can put down your phone. Just had to be so you can spy on me again."

Lola: "You know better than to keep secrets from us, Lincoln!"

Lynn: "Yeah, and it might've taken us nine days—kinda slow on our part—but you can't keep a secret for long!"

The sisters all laugh—except Lucy and Lana.

Lincoln: (Rolls his eyes) "Yeah… and it took a literal god for that to happen."

Watcher: "Word up!" (High-fives Lincoln.)

Lynn: "Oh please, I bet we didn't need your help." (She instantly shrinks back, realizing who she's talking to.)

Watcher: "It would've taken a whole month for four of you to figure it out on your own."

Luan: "Why only four of us?"

Watcher: "Because Lincoln willingly told only four he trusted."

Lori: "It's literally me as one of them, right?"

Luna: "Please, I'm his guardian—I have to be one."

Leni: "Maybe he told Leni!"

Luan: (Raises an eyebrow) "You are Leni."

Leni: "Oh right. Silly me!"

Elsa: (Whispers to her group) "Did she forget her own name?"

Milly: "I can't believe it. Maybe I was right about Earthlings devolving after all…"

As the Loud sisters bicker, others look at their parents with judgmental stares.

Lynn Sr.: "Why's everyone looking at us?"

Phantom: (Arms crossed) "Well… aren't you going to stop them?"

Rita: "My husband and I do free-range parenting. We like to let them work things out themselves."

Watcher: "What they mean to say is that they're too lazy to be real parents—so they let their daughters do whatever they want."

Rita: "What!? That's not true at all!"

Watcher: "You have your four-year-old daughter doing your taxes and bills."

Pop-Pop: "Rita!"

Rita: "B-but Dad… it's her chore!"

Watcher: "That you gave her. Because it's another adult responsibility you're too lazy and immature to handle."

The Loud parents glance around as everyone glares at them.

Carol: (Holding her forehead) "How has their house not fallen apart?"

Watcher: (Points to Lincoln, who looks almost bored)

Watcher: "Lincoln, I could just snap my fingers and make them fall to the ground. But I'll let you take this one."

Lincoln: "You got it." (Puts fingers to his mouth, pauses, and looks around) "Everyone cover your ears."

They obey. Lincoln lets out a loud whistle—muffled, but still piercing. The Loud sisters clutch their ears.

Lola: "My ears!"

Luan: "I hate when Lincoln does that. But hey—it does have a nice ring to it. Ha ha—get it?"

Groans echo across the room.

Lincoln: "Okay, maybe I can't see the future—but I can tell you the one sister I'd most likely trust with my secret."

Lisa: (Rubbing her ears) "And how, in Einstein's name, can we believe your answer? For all we know, it could change."

Lincoln whispers to Watcher, who nods with a grin.

Watcher: "He's right. So you can believe it."

Lori: "Alright then—who out of all of us would you trust the most?"

Watcher: (Steps back to the others) "Watch this."

Lincoln: "It's the one sister who won't tell any of you."

Lynn: "Just hurry it up, Stincoln!"

Lincoln: "The sister is…"

Lincoln: "…Lily."
