The lush Trees move gracefully from the gentle gust as leafs rise in the air.
The Trees, Gaint as well block the Sunlight from reaching the Forests ground, placing it in a shadowy expanse.
But the peace and calm of the Forest is disturbed by screeching and mawing as the foundation of the Forest fall on the wet mud.
Rippers are seen to mow down everything in their path as Trees, Grass, Flowers and anything that is Biological gets devoured.
The nutrients rich soil is scooped up and eaten too as dust and sand is left behind in their hungering rampage.
All this is to fuel the growth of the Tyranid Hive.
Gaunts patrol the wasteland left behind as the Warrior Prime comands them.
Then something unexpected happened, some Rippers connection to the Hive is lost.
The Warrior send out a signal to the Hive Mind and Anna came out of her mental space to investigate.
"Hmm, Rippers have been lost. Expected, but still suspicious. Whoever did this wants to be hidden. Haa, time to look at the evidence. Memory Recall."
Anna looked at the last memories of the Rippers before it became dark.
"Hmm, something pulled them out in the Trees. Intelligent Lifeforms? There's more to see."
She then looked at the last memories of more Rippers to find the culprit.
Anna sees as the Ripper moves across the land doing it work when it saw something. Only to the scooped up and then dark.
But that single glimpse was all she needed.
"Got you, you little bastard."
That one glimpse revealed the one responsible.
Long body, green scales that switches color, eyes that move independently, and the long tongue that come out the mouth before the Ripper died.
A Giant Chameleon.
"Wait a moment, is that."
She rewinded the memory. There was another Ripper next to the one who got eaten. She looks through that one and saw something bizarre.
The Chameleon went invisible.
"Don't tell me, I can finally make Lictors!! Hahaha! Thank you for revealing yourself Chameleon! Now I don't have to do trial and error to make the invisibility ability of the Lictors! I just have to get enough of your kind to get the genetic ability out of you hahahaha!"
Unexpectedly she found a treasure, a genetic template for Lictors, a very important member of the Tyranid Hive. With this she can make a shortcut to the Lictor development.
Unlike the Carnifex, who she had to do lots of trial and error to finally make it. Without a perfect genetic host, she can't make the desired Tyranid Bioform unless she wastes Biomass for experiments to make one like the Carnifex. But that's not ideal.
"Hehehe~ time to make an entire species extinct. I will strip every useful gene out of you to make the perfect Lictor."
Anna orderd the Norn Queen to make more Rippers and send them down alongside more Warriors armed with biomorths such as Bio-Weapons of every kind.
She then used the genetic template of the Bats to make Flying Warriors. They will act as air support.
Anna then resumed the creation of Flying Tyranids. She needs all advantages to capture a Chameleon. They are giant, probably as big as a large Van.
"This will be a difficult hunt. I really need to find a snake species that has thermal vision."
Then something clicked inside her mind.
"Wait, of course! Echolocation! I use the Bats ability of Echolocation!"
She nearly forgot that Bats have a unique ability that let's them find their prey.
Anna then used the genetic makeup of that ability and fused it with the Flying Warriors.
A Perfect combination for a Flying Tyranid.
"Alright! Let the hunt begin!"
The Hive Ship then dropped of the Tyranids and rose back. The Tyranids who came out spread out as the Flying Warriors used Echolocation to find the Chameleon with Rippers acting as bait.
Then it happened. A Ripper got caught and before the Warriors could catch the Chameleon ran of.
"It's fast, hmm I won't catch it like this. Oh! I know! I'd just use Spore Mines! I just need to modify it to look appetizing and give it a big dose of toxins."
Then Anna send out a Special batch of Spore Mines out and let them fly aimlessly.
-Chameleon POV-
The Chameleon was wondering what these new creatures were. But it doesn't matter, they taste good.
Then it saw some very plumb flying blobs of flesh. It looked juicy, delicious. It couldn't resist. Not because it was that hungry but for some reason it just called to be eaten. As if the thing is letting out Pheromones calling to be eaten.
The Chameleon leaped across the Trees and immediately shot out its long tongue and ate the blob.
Before if could run of it felt a strong sting and then fell of the Forest Floor.
-Back to Anna-
"Haha! Stupid Chameleon. I made a last second call to make it emit Pheromones that make the ones effected to eat it. With the toxins inside making it go stiff."
Indeed the Chameleon is not dead, but it soon will be.
A Warrior came up to the paralyzed Chameleon and stabbed it in the head with its scythe like talon.
"Hmm, I think I should make a special kind of Tyranid for occasions like this. They'd look delicious and compel to be eaten only to kill or paralyze the victim. Hmm good idea I'll make Special Rippers, Gaunts and Spore Mines for this. They will be known as the Deadly Appetizers!"
If for some reason she comes upon creatures that are to agile or hide well or are to storng. The Deadly Appetizers will take care of it.
"Alright first one done, time for more."
Anna then send out more Spore Mines and slowly she got feedback of successful hunts.
The Swarm is expanding as is its tactics.
As the Tyranids mow down the Forest and any of its inhabitants, be it Deer the size of small cars or Rabbits the size of shopping carts. Everything got claimed by the Swarm.
Then Anna got a signal by a Flying Warrior.
She looks through its eyes and sees a Humanoid Figure but can't distinguish what it is.
"Is this it? My first encounter with Intelligent Lifeforms? What will it be no don't tell me I'll find out."
Anna is talking to herself. It's been some time since she talked with anyone and her Norn Queen does not count. It's limited intelligence is for independent movement without her input but it's still 'her'. Every Tyranid is her.
"Just in time, my first Lictor is here. Alright Lictor go and see what it is."
The Lictor that just spawned let out a scream and jumped out of the Hive Ship and caught on the Trees.
"Umm Alright. I didn't say you'd have to rush but you do you. Wait, if there Intelligent Lifeforms here then they will surely spot my Hive Ship! I need to integrate the Invisibility ability to the Ship."
Anna then orderd her Hive Ship to fuse with the genetic makeup of the Chameleon that gives it Invisibility. And it worked!
One moment one could see a big flesh Ship the next its gone.
"Nice, it worked. Alright back to the Humanoid, Lictor stalk it but don't attack."
The Lictor then climbed the Trees and leapt great distances occasionally landing on the ground only to leap up the Trees and launch itself.
-Humanoid POV-
Razor Claw, a member of the Lizard Clan is within the Sacred Forest to collect berries to use for medicine. He's the doctor of his Clan like many others.
"I need to be careful. This Forest has the Great Beasts. I can't wander to deep."
He found a bush that has unique berries used in his craft.
His eyes shined in joy. He found what he came for.
"With this I can treat the Scale Illness. It makes our Scales fall of without regenerating."
The Illness is uncommon but still deadly. So he needs to be ready if he gets a patient with it.
Then he hears the trees around them crack.
As if something stepped of the branches. He looks up only to see nothing.
"Must have been the wind." He ignores it and continues his collecting.
-Anna POV-
She sees the creature before her through the Lictors eyes. It looks like a Lizard Man but with very human features.
The the Human like hand only with sharp claws, the human face but with scales on the cheeks, the human body by more muscled and a tail, that Human like eyes, that Human.
Human, Human, Human , -lliman, guilliman, guilliman! GUILLIMAN!!!!!!
"GUILLIMAN!!!! I WILL KILL YOU!!!"
Anna's Mind went blank and rage filled her Mind as she screamed out making every Tyranid scream as well.
"RRAAAAHH!!"
The Lictor also went in a rage state and leapt at the Lizardman
The Lizardman couldn't react in time before the Lictor hit him and tore of his limbs, his stomach, threw out his guts and then crushed his head.
"Haaa! Ha! Ha, ha, ha wh-what happened? Why did I do that?"
Anna is very confused. Why did she do that? Why did that happen to her? What's with the hatred for Guilliman. But he's a fictional character.
"I-i need to calm down. Eugh, Lictor brink that guy to the Hive Ship. I need to rest."
