Lillian and I had spent the last few days at Cleria Belial's mansion, waiting for her to get in contact with Serafall Leviathan. During the wait we had been learning to use weapons from the members of Cleria's peerage.
We had met three of her current peerage members, the first being the maid from the day we arrived called Elaine, she was a pawn. We then met a knight the next morning called Bryan who used a spear and then a bishop called Julie in the evening.
Our days consisted of getting up, having breakfast, training, lunch, training, dinner, rest, going to bed.
Naturally we spent all our time under the supervision of at least one member of the peerage except when we were in our room. It felt a bit restrictive it was natural considering the circumstances.
During our time spent training I worked mostly with the knight Bryan trying to learn footwork and positioning to wield a weapon. He got me to try out various wooden weapons and see which one I felt most comfortable with, the result being a long sword.
Although he did warn me that my natural preference might change as I grew up.
Lillian spent most of her time training with the bishop Julie.
She had taken a shine to a bow and arrow and had confided in me in private that she wanted to shoot her light spears with a bow.
Now we were waiting in the the lobby of the mansion as Cleria had informed us that Serafall would be arriving today. Elaine, Bryan and Julie were all here with us waiting at the side of the room.
I felt a fluctuation of magic through the thin layer of demonic power I constantly had spread around me, which I had now named magic sense. A short second later and the door burst open in a bright flash of color.
"Miracle Levia-tan✮ has arrived!"
A short girl with twin tailed black hair and amethyst eyes appeared in a burst of sparkles during the exclamation. She was dressed in a pink and white magical girl outfit.
Despite her eye catching appearance, most of my attention was focused on the feedback from my magic sense. To my senses the beings in my magic detection appeared like a star, the brightness proportional to their magic strength with the colors of the star's core distinguishing their species and the corona around the star indicating their magic affinities.
All four of the devils I had met so far had stars with a similar core color, being dark with streaks of white. They naturally had different color coronas signifying their affinity with Cleria's being the strangest, her corona was even darker than her star. Lillian looked different, her star was bright white with a rainbow corona but was significantly dimmer than the devils.
Serafall Leviathan was on a completely different level.
If sensing Cleria was like looking at a full moon, then sensing Serafall was like looking at the sun.
Her magic power was so great it almost overloaded my magic sense.
Her corona was glacier blue and seemed to be half overlapping with the core, which was the same as the other devils, unlike the others I had seen where they were distinctly separate.
I was brought out of my musing when I felt something crash into me and squeeze me against Lillian to my side.
"How cute! So cute! Almost as cute as So-tan! Not quite though! But almost!" An excited voice shouted into my ear.
I realized Serafall had rushed up to us and drawn me and Lillian into a group hug. Lillian started squirming trying to escape, whilst I just tilted my head back up and just stared blankly at her.
"Awwwww so cute!" Another squeal in my ear as I met her gaze.
"Lady Leviathan please let them go." Cleria tried to salvage the situation.
"Don't wanna they're sooo cute!" Pouted one of the four kings of an entire race.
"Let go." I just said in monotone whilst still staring into her amethyst eyes.
"Fiiiinnneeee."
We were finally released from the hug and Lillian immediately darted behind me, glairing at Serafall whilst peaking around my side.
"Cain, Lillian, this is Serafall Leviathan, one of the four Maou of the devil race, in charge of foreign affairs."
"Lady Leviathan, this is Cain and Lillian, a half devil, presumably of the Sitri clan and his human friend."
Cleria did an admirable job of introductions whilst ignoring Serafall bouncing up and down on her feat whilst circling around me as she tried to get closer to Lillian, who also circled around me, keeping me between the two.
Serafall stopped her circling and looked me up and down in an assessing manner. She seemed to take note of my hair and eye colors. When we were staying back at the bungalow I had got my first look at my features using the dusty mirror in the bathroom.
I had dark green hair, so dark that you would think it black before light shines on it. I also had heterochromia, one of my eyes was dark green and the other dark purple. Raphael stated that the heterochromia came about due to a combination of Zagan and Sitri clan traits, it could have changed them but did not since they were purely cosmetic.
I quite liked my eyes, they would give me a bit of a mysterious air and make me more memorable. Although, that mysteriousness was currently overshadowed by my five year old cuteness. I definitely was cute for a five year old boy and I was praying that when my body grew up it would become more manly.
"Cleria, explained to me what you told her but can you prove that you are from the Sitri clan?" Serafall broke me out of my thoughts with the change to her serious personality.
I held up my hand and produced a small shard of ice before handing it over to Serafall who then proceeded to study it closely.
It was easy to tell if someone belong to a devil house like Bael or Belial as they had unique magics like the Power of Destruction and Worthless. It was a bit harder with houses like Sitri as their clan trait was Mastery over Water, which typically acted as a huge boost to their water magic.
Raphael informed me that, in situations like this, it could be determined if someone belonged to a clan by the way their magic acted when transformed into their clans element. Raphael explained it that, a Sitri's magic naturally wants to transform into water as if water was its natural state of being, this means that Sitris can use an impossibly small amount of demonic power to generate the same amount of water.
"Just like me." Serafall muttered to herself, as she ran her demonic power through the block of ice.
She looked back up at me with visible confusion written on her face.
"Can we talk in private?" I interrupted before she could begin questioning.
"Ok, lets go. Cleria, we'll be borrowing a room." She declared before dragging me off by the arm, surprising everyone with her abruptness.
Lillian quickly snapped out of her surprise before rushing up to grab onto my other arm, sending a glare at Serafall.
"She should come with us." I again preceded Serafall's question as she turned to me about to ask about Lillian.
She shrugged as she ushered us into a reception room just off from the lobby. She closed the door to the room, blocking out the surprised faces of Cleria's peerage still watching from the lobby, and then threw up some magic barrier, presumably to stop eavesdropping.
"Explain." She demanded now using a more regal voice as Lillian and I sat down opposite her.
It was clear that Serafall was taking this completely seriously as she had dropped her magical girl act and now carried the baring of a proper adult.
"We were created by Rizevim Livan Lucifer." I bluntly stated the truth.
Serafall tensed up at the name and her eyes seemed to sharpen even more then before as she gestured to continue.
"He was running different experiments with combining genes from various creatures. We were the only two to survive," I gestured to Lillian, "and then managed to escape a couple of weeks ago. We spent a couple of weeks hiding in this town before I summoned Cleria and asked her for your summoning flyer. She then brought us here and got in contact with you."
Serafall leant back against the chair she was on, eyes closed as she thought in silence for a few moments before asking beginning her questioning.
"How did you escape?"
"I used my Astaroth clan trait to hack his system and then teleported us away."
"Thats not possible."
"It is, my clan trait mutated, its basically like a magic artificial intelligence."
She froze again for a few moments, processing the absurdity of what I just said.
"How, how is that possible?!" She exclaimed.
Naturally it wouldn't really be possible without getting it being my reincarnation bonus. Luckily I had a semi-plausible excuse.
"I think its because of a combination of my clan traits."
"What do you mean?"
"Rizevim's goal when creating me was to make a natural super devil like himself and Sirzechs Lucifer and brainwash it to be his weapon. He went about this by trying to add the DNA of many different clans to me, and eventually added DNA from demons and dragons in order to make me stronger, when it wasn't working."
I paused a second to let her digest that bit of information, then continued.
"Among the devil DNA he added to me, the clan traits that awoke were Astaroth, Sitri and Zagan. I think my Astaroth clan trait mutated in such a way by combining with the Zagan clan trait. The combination of enhanced intelligence and life manipulation resulted in the intelligence gaining a sort of life. At least thats what I think happened."
"Ok, Ok, I'll accept that but I'll ask Juka-chan if its possible later. So what did that madman put into you?"
"I have the DNA of many different devil clans, two demons and two dragons. I can also use the clan trait of Astaroth, Sitri and Zagan."
"So your Astaroth clan trait mutated into this magic AI thingy and your Sitri mutated into my ice. What about your Zagan trait?"
"My Zagan didn't mutate, neither did my Sitri actually. When he made me he started with the DNA from two people, like normal, before adding more. He used DNA from Ajuka Beelzebub and your DNA as the base."
I paused here as here eyes widened and her gaze snapped towards my purple eye, showcasing my Sitri heritage.
"W-wait wait, so your basically my son?"
"Genetically at least." I shrugged.
She went silent for a long time, more than a minute just staring at me.
"As expected of me!" She shouted as she launched herself over the coffee table directly at me.
"Only the DNA of the one and only Magical Girl Miracle Levia-tan✮ could produce such a cute child. Hee heee heeee." She giggled to herself as she started shaking me back and forth.
I had been quite worried about how she would react to having a child she didn't know about, who had been made by someone else using her DNA without her permission. Though given her shift back into her magical girl persona, it should be ok.
"So genetically, you're my child with Juka-chan?" She asked after having had her fill of shaking me around.
"Yeh, but I also have the DNA of lots of other people."
"Thats fine Kay-chan. So what about Lilly-chan?" She asked, having given both me and Lillian a pet name.
"She's like me except Rizevim tried to combine human, angel and god DNA. Primarily composed of DNA from Lilith, Helel and Gabriel."
"Wait, Helel? You mean-"
"Yeh, Rizevim tried to purify his fathers DNA. If he wanted a super devil when he made me, Lillian was his attempt at creating a successor for Big G." I explained, avoiding using the G-word considering Serafall is a devil.
I was not affected by saying God, I presume due to my mixed DNA. Serafall may not have a problem with it given her strength but I was still keeping some secrets so I didn't say his name directly.
"She doesn't feel angelic or divine though?" Serafall tilted her head whilst gazing at Lillian, who had been quietly sitting by my side hugging my arm.
"I'm covering her in a thin layer of my demonic power to act as an aura filter."
"Heeeeh, how clever of you Kay-chan!" She clapped at my genius. "I do have to ask though, you seem far to mature for your age Kay-chan."
"I think its from my Astaroth clan trait, when it was hacking Rizevim's lab it was downloading lots of knowledge into my head."
"Why do you speak like its a separate person Kay-chan?"
"Because, its like that. Its like having another person in my head."
"Interesting," she hummed to herself a bit, "so, you used Cleria-chan to get in contact with me wanting my protection right."
I just nodded.
I wasn't surprised she'd figure out my plan.
Despite acting like a magical girl all the time, she was also very sharp, as required by her job as the Maou of foreign affairs.
"I wanted to exchange the knowledge I stole from Rizevim in exchange for the devil faction to protect us."
"Mou!" She exclaimed. "I would protect you anyway since you have my magical girl blood. I will need you to give me that knowledge though, its very important."
"I know, so will you let me take Lillian as well?"
"Its ok, right? 'Cause I will become his peerage member right. You promised Cain." Lillian spoke for the first time, having been content with letting me explain until now.
"Ill take you both with me, but we will need to go see Juka-chan to give you a check-up. Especially if you also have Juka-chan's DNA."
"Ok." I agreed, especially since I could ask Ajuka if he knew how to fix Lillian's soul, especially considering his Evil Pieces interact with the soul.
"Great, do you have anything you want to bring with Kay-chan, Lilly-chan?" Serafall asked, bouncing to her feat.
We shook our heads simultaneously in response, we didn't own anything and the stuff we had here was borrowed from Cleria.
"Good!" Serafall exclaimed.
She, hopped to her feat and rushed over to the door to the room.
"Cleria-chan, I'll be taking these two as my magical girl apprentices and bringing them back to the underworld!" She shouted after having violently swung the door open.
"Thanks for looking after them a few days. We'll catch up again later. Bye bye Cleria-chan!"
She then slammed the door closed and raced back over to Lillian and I, who were just watching her antics from our seat.
"Right lets go!" She reached out and grabbed my shoulder whilst striking an energetic pose with her arm up and a magical girl wand in hand.
"Onwards! To the underworld!" She shouted as a teleportation circle unfolded below us and activated in a flash of light.
