Title: Princess Vita Royale: Girls Edition

Chapter 4: The Princess Trials — A Mysterious Challenger Appears!

(Where friendship is tested, rivalries bloom, and a mysterious visitor shakes the palace grounds...)

---

The glow of the Moonlight Festival still lingered in the air like perfume.

Yunari had begun to smile more, speak a little, and even play in the gardens with the smaller spirit animals. She was slowly growing into her place—like a seed learning the sun wasn't a threat.

But peace never lasted long in the realm of princesses.

Not when the Trials were around the corner.

---

🌸 What Are the Princess Trials?

Every five years, the Vita Crown Court hosts a sacred event known as the Princess Trials—not a battle, but a celebration of grace, power, wisdom, spirit, and charm. Each princess chooses one aspect to represent, and the kingdom watches in awe.

This year, something else would spice up the ceremony:

A mysterious challenger.

---

🏰 News from the Gates

Neptis was half-asleep on her floating couch when a pearl-scroll dropped into her tea.

> "Urgent summons?" she muttered, unrolling it.

She blinked.

> "...Girls. We've got company."

---

🌀 Arrival of the Challenger

The gates of the castle swirled with celestial wind as a portal formed from fractured stardust and water.

Out stepped a tall, elegant girl with midnight-blue hair, shimmering like a nebula. She had one gold eye, one teal, and a cloak that looked like a galaxy trapped in velvet.

By her side floated six glowing rings orbiting her like moons.

She bowed gracefully before Queen Altaria, then turned to the assembled princesses.

> "I am Princess Caelia Nocturne. I hail from the kingdom beyond the Spiral Expanse."

Gasps. Caelia was a legend. Said to command both cosmic storms and gravity tides.

> "I request to join the Trials—not as guest, but as contestant," she said.

"I wish to earn a Vita Pact. And... I wish to meet those who shone so brightly they reached even my skies."

---

👑 The Princesses React

Marigold crossed her arms.

> "Oh, so now outer kingdoms want to play? Cute."

She smiled, but it was sharp. "Try not to cry when we win."

Viola stared with her usual cool gaze.

> "She's... interesting," she said simply. "I'll analyze her power later."

Amaryllis was already live-streaming.

> "✨New challenger alert✨! Princess Caelia is gorgeously alien. Fans, place your bets!"

(She sent Caelia a plushie as welcome.)

Rosemary waved wildly.

> "DO YOU PLAY SKYBALL? We need a new goalie!"

Camilla gave a polite bow.

> "You're welcome here. We'll help however we can."

Caelia looked at her, curiously.

"You... shine softly," she murmured.

Zinnia narrowed her eyes, ears twitching.

> "You smell like starlight and thunder... Are you hiding your real strength?"

Caelia simply smiled.

Neptis floated by lazily.

> "Cool. Maybe now this year's Trials won't be boring."

Yunari peeked from behind Camilla's cape, blinking at the newcomer.

Caelia knelt and extended a hand.

> "And who might you be, starlit fox?"

> "...Yunari," she said softly.

> "A beautiful name," Caelia smiled. "You have a strong aura. One day you'll shine like a supernova."

Zinnia felt her tails fluff up protectively as Yunari clung tighter to Camilla.

> "Mmm. We'll see about that," Zinnia muttered.

---

🌠 Preparing for the Trials

The next few days were filled with excitement and energy.

Marigold trained with golden sunlight, summoning massive flame lions in the sky.

Viola practiced shadow illusions and puzzle mazes built with logic traps.

Rosemary hosted dance-battle practice to techno-music in the garden.

Amaryllis choreographed a media performance combining light projections and drama.

Camilla worked quietly on her harmony spells, blending healing, empathy, and light-music.

Neptis conjured monsoons in the sky for fun while being too lazy to dodge her own waves.

Zinnia trained Yunari in tail-balancing, agility tricks, and how to breathe foxfire.

Caelia, in private, summoned planets to orbit her before shrinking them into marble-sized stars.

---

💫 Ending the Day

That night, after training, all the girls sat around a large star-table sharing snacks.

Yunari was in the middle, wearing her new Trial robe: pale blue with white flame patterns.

> "I don't want anyone to lose," she murmured. "You're all amazing."

Camilla chuckled softly.

> "Winning isn't everything. It's about sharing your heart."

> "Then I'll share mine," Yunari beamed.

Caelia looked across the table at all of them.

> "You shine brighter than I imagined," she whispered.

Zinnia raised a flame-cup.

> "To starlight, sisterhood, and the weirdest friend group ever."

Everyone clinked glasses and laughed.

Chapter 6: Trial of Light — Camilla's Blooming Heart

(Even the quietest soul has a melody that can shake the stars.)

---

The day of the First Trial had arrived.

And Camilla, of all the princesses, was chosen to go first.

The stage was nothing short of magical: a floating amphitheater made of translucent crystal, suspended above a lake of moonlight. Above, the sky shimmered with Vita auras. Below, the crowd of kingdoms gathered—spectators from across realms and dimensions, all waiting.

The Trial of Light wasn't about brightness. It was about truth. Heart. Healing. Hope.

Camilla had never performed before. Not like this.

---

🎼 Princess Camilla Prepares

Backstage, Camilla sat on a velvet bench. Her Trial robes were embroidered with morning dew and woven with silver song-thread. Her staff—a delicate wand of white vine wrapped in crystal—rested beside her.

Yunari sat beside her, tail curled neatly.

> "Are you scared?" the little fox girl asked.

Camilla gave a soft smile.

> "A little. Not of failing… just of being seen."

> "You're the kindest one," Yunari said, hugging her arm.

"That means your light will be kind, too."

Camilla blinked, moved.

Zinnia peeked in, tails swishing.

> "We're all watching. Don't hold back, flower girl."

Viola followed, adding,

> "Remember: let them see the real Camilla."

Even Marigold, surprisingly, gave her a nod of respect.

> "Win this one. Make them cry in a good way."

---

🌟 The Trial Begins

Camilla stepped onto the floating platform.

The crowd hushed.

She raised her wand. A soft bell chime echoed, and light-motes floated up from the lake beneath her feet.

Then, she began.

A gentle melody filled the air—played not with instruments, but with her own Vita essence. The music shimmered, wrapping around the crowd like warm sunbeams after a long rain.

Each note revealed a memory:

Camilla as a little girl, overlooked by tutors who favored louder princesses.

Camilla healing an injured deer quietly in the woods.

Camilla carrying food to an orphanage in disguise.

Camilla alone in the garden, humming to flowers, wishing someone would see her.

The light pulsed with emotion, kindness, and unspoken longing.

Then, slowly, Camilla opened her eyes. And sang.

Her voice was soft but steady—like a thread of dawn weaving into a dark sky. The lyrics spoke of hearts that hide, of pain not shown, of gentle people with giant souls.

All around her, glowing flowers bloomed mid-air, their petals becoming butterflies of light.

Even the hardest hearts felt it.

Even the stars paused.

---

🌸 The Crowd Reacts

Amaryllis had tears streaming down her cheeks, ruining her glitter mascara.

> "That's it. That's my new favorite song."

Rosemary tried to laugh but was crying too.

> "I didn't bring tissues!!"

Viola, though expressionless, was gripping her gloves tightly.

Neptis whispered,

> "She's not to be underestimated again."

Marigold looked stunned. And then... smiled softly.

> "So that's your light…"

Zinnia, who never showed sentimentality, clapped silently, tails gently curled around Yunari.

> "She's grown."

Caelia watched, unmoving.

But her glowing moon-rings dimmed for just a moment.

> "Her heart sings in a frequency… I have not heard in centuries," she whispered.

---

💫 After the Trial

When Camilla stepped down, breathless but glowing, she was immediately swarmed by her sisters.

Amaryllis hugged her and handed her a branded tissue box.

Rosemary shouted, "YOU KILLED IT!" while throwing glitter confetti.

Viola nodded once and simply said,

> "You shined. Truly."

Caelia stepped forward.

> "You've reminded me why mortals can still move stars," she said, placing a star-ring in Camilla's palm.

"You've earned the skies' respect."

Camilla blushed and lowered her head.

> "Thank you… all of you."

---

🌙 Closing the Night

Later, under the whispering trees of the floating gardens, Camilla sat with Yunari in her lap, Zinnia stretched beside them.

> "Did I do okay?" she asked.

Yunari, curled up sleepily, smiled.

> "You made my heart feel soft. That's the best magic."

Camilla looked up at the starlit sky, breathing deeply.

For the first time… she felt seen. Not as the quiet one. Not as the background.

But as Camilla—the healer, the singer, the soul who bloomed slowly but beautifully.
