Chapter 53 - Chapter 53:Noble Race? Pfft.

"Brother Chiga!"

Nami, who had landed on the ground, saw Chiga appear and immediately rushed over, squeezing into his embrace.

Chiga held the two little ones in his arms, one in each hand, and quietly waited for their emotions to calm down.

After crying for a while, Nami lifted her tear-stained face, which looked like a little calico cat, and the first thing she said was,

"Brother Chiga, why do you always call Nojiko first?"

"…"

A drop of cold sweat trickled down Chiga's forehead. He thought, At a time like this, you still notice that? It seems Nami holds quite a grudge about this.

Nojiko also raised her head from Chiga's embrace, gazing at him blankly.

Noticing Nojiko's eyes, Chiga gave her a reassuring smile. Then, he gently placed the two little ones on the ground. After that, Chiga turned to face the group of fish-men behind him, his Rinnegan eyes chillingly cold.

Arlong, his face pale, clutched his shoulder, which had lost its right arm. Seeing Chiga turn around, he stared intently at him and said,

"Who are you? How dare you attack me?!"

Chiga ignored him, only turning his head to Medis on his shoulder and saying,

"Medis, do you like eating fish?"

"No, Master. These fish are too disgusting—I can't eat them…"

Nodding, Chiga seemed to be talking to himself.

"What a pity."

Seeing that the human in front of him had severed his arm and was still ignoring him, Arlong somewhat lost his composure.

He opened his wide mouth and used his remaining arm to pull out the saw-like teeth from his mouth. Miraculously, after the teeth were removed, new saw-like teeth grew back in their place.

Holding the saw-like teeth in his hand, Arlong fiercely charged toward Chiga. He aimed the teeth at Chiga and shouted,

"Die, human! Iron Tooth!"

"Boring."

Arlong's speed was no different from a snail's in Chiga's eyes. Armament Haki instantly covered his right hand, making it pitch black and gleaming with a metallic luster.

Chiga raised his hand and struck fiercely at Arlong's hand holding the saw-like teeth.

Immediately, the sound of bones cracking and flesh bursting erupted simultaneously. Arlong, who had just been charging, instantly fell to the ground, face-planting.

"Ahhhhhh!"

Both arms were gone, and the second arm was violently shattered. The intense pain overwhelmed Arlong, causing him to roll wildly on the ground.

Whoosh! Chiga appeared beside Arlong. A black rod had appeared in his hand at some point, and he thrust it fiercely into Arlong's shoulder.

Arlong let out a few more agonizing screams. Before he could scream for long, another black rod appeared in Chiga's hand, and he thrust it into Arlong's other shoulder again.

Two black rods pierced through Arlong's shoulder blades and stuck into the ground. A strange energy emanated from them, constantly impacting Arlong's mind. Chiga's Rinnegan eyes even appeared in his thoughts, and this bizarre situation made him even more terrified.

Pfft, pfft.

Two more sounds of flesh being pierced rang out, and Arlong's two legs each had an additional black rod.

Clapping his hands, Chiga looked at Arlong, who was like a dead dog on the ground, and deliberately showed a surprised expression.

He walked up to Arlong, squatted down, grabbed Arlong's head, and lifted it, making Arlong's unfocused eyes meet his Rinnegan. A devil-like whisper came from Chiga's mouth,

"What's wrong? Is this all the noble fish-man tribe is capable of? Did you pass out?"

With that, a purple glow flashed in Chiga's Rinnegan. Arlong immediately widened his eyes, as if he had seen something terrifying. After he regained consciousness and saw Chiga's Rinnegan, he screamed even more in horror.

Chiga annoyedly covered his ears, then punched Arlong in the mouth.

The punch was extremely powerful. After Chiga retracted his fist, a handful of white debris spewed out of Arlong's mouth; those were his teeth, shattered into powder.

However, Arlong's racial talent was truly impressive. Even though his teeth were pulverized, new ones appeared in his mouth in no time.

Chiga raised an eyebrow, feeling that these teeth were really trying to defy him.

A ball of black flames appeared in his hand, and he pressed it onto Arlong's mouth under Arlong's terrified gaze.

Arlong's large mouth was sealed by a layer of ice after being touched by the black flames, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't open it.

Satisfied, Chiga withdrew his hand and continued to examine Arlong's face. After a while, he found the long nose to be a real eyesore.

So, Chiga's hand was once again covered in Armament Haki. He grabbed Arlong's nose and began to exert force, slowly twisting counter-clockwise like twisting a motorcycle throttle.

This inhuman pain caused Arlong's veins to bulge. He wanted to faint but couldn't, and he wanted to scream but couldn't open his mouth. He could only express his pain through violent trembling of his body.

The fish-man minions, who had been standing frozen in fear, finally came to their senses. It must be said that they were somewhat loyal. A few bravely picked up weapons and approached Chiga step by step.

Chiga had his back to them, still focused on twisting the throttle. Nami and Nojiko, who were watching from the side, became anxious. They thought Chiga hadn't noticed the danger and quickly shouted to warn him,

"Brother Chiga! Behind you! Danger!"

Hearing their warning, Chiga didn't want to disappoint their concern. He slowly turned his head and indifferently glanced at the approaching fish-men.

Swept by Chiga's eyes, the fish-men holding weapons immediately froze in place as if a pause button had been pressed. Their weapons clattered to the ground, and then they fell down one by one.

The others behind them ran forward to check on their companions. They were horrified to find that the fallen fish-men were already cold corpses.

One of them sat down on the ground with a thud, staring blankly at the corpses, muttering to himself as if he had gone mad,

"Devil… he's not human… he's a devil…"

Ignoring the fish-man riffraff, Chiga continued twisting Arlong's nose. At this moment, Arlong felt he had never hated his nose as much as he did now.

The pain continued. Everyone present silently watched this cruel scene, and no one stepped forward to stop it.

Arlong's actions had enraged everyone. Now, they felt only one thing: satisfaction.

Crack! Finally, with a crisp sound of bone cracking, Arlong's nose was twisted off by Chiga.

"Mmmph mmmph mmmph!"

Arlong rolled his eyes and trembled violently. Chiga, on the other hand, stepped on his head, playing with Arlong's nose in his hand. Nami, seeing this, ran to Chiga's side and hugged his thigh.

"Brother Chiga, can I have that thing?"

Chiga looked down at Nami, puzzled.

"What do you want it for? It's pretty dirty."

Nami bit her lip, glanced at Belle-mère, whose face was covered in blood, and seemed to have made a decision. She looked at the dying Arlong and said through gritted teeth,

"I want to use it as a weapon. I want to kill all pirates from now on. I hate them!"

Chiga frowned, wondering if Nami had gone dark.

On second thought, hating pirates wasn't necessarily a bad thing. If he, a Marine, still had compassion for pirates, he wouldn't tolerate that—especially thinking of Coby.

If Coby dared to run up to me and ramble in the future, Chiga thought, I'll crush him without hesitation. As for Shanks's face? Sorry, what's that?

Chiga stroked Nami's little head and said,

"This thing is too bloody and dirty. How about I find someone to forge you a dagger later?"

Nami nodded vigorously and hugged Chiga, no longer speaking.
