As the man awoke, he realised that if he kept fighting in the dungeon solo, it might become difficult to make enough money. He decided to recruit someone from the guild. After breakfast, he went straight into town to speak with Bravia.
Naofumi: Do you know if someone is looking for a party?
Bravia: Right now, we only have two candidates. One fights using a spear, the other using a trident.
Naofumi: Do you think I could meet them and test out their strength?
Bravia: Of course. I'll let them know that you're interested. What time would suit you for the meet-up?
Naofumi: Quarter past noon.
Bravia: If they come in today, then I'll let them know. See you later.
Naofumi: See you.
As the man exited the building, he realised that even though he had full control over all elements, he was only using three of them. It was the perfect time to create some more.

He gave the man thirty silver coins and went back outside. While wandering, he saw the elven twins waving at him to come over.
Eliadir: It's nice to see you, Naofumi. Are you doing something important right now?
Naofumi: Not really. I'm currently waiting, as the guild is searching for candidates for my party.
Cheva: If you want, we could join your team. We saw you in action, and we believe we could be of great use to you.
Naofumi: I see. I will gladly accept your offer, but even so, the people from the guild sounded like they might also be beneficial, so I'm gonna meet up with them too.
Cheva: No problem. The bigger the party, the better.
Naofumi: Come by the guild at half past one, and we'll make it official.

After their talk, Naofumi quickly went to the guild arena, since it was nearing noon. When he got there, he noticed Bravia standing with two different women. One had silver hair, blue eyes, and clear, white wings, while the other had hair black as night, and red horns and pupils.
Naofumi: I'm guessing these are the candidates?
Bravia: Correct. The angel's name is Almiya. The devil is called Emitalia.
Naofumi: Nice to meet you, my name is Naofumi. I want to test your strength in mock battles. Which one of you would like to show her strength first?
Almiya: I can fight you first.
Naofumi: All right. Then let's fight.
All of them went inside the arena. After Bravia gave the signal, the angel girl rushed towards the man with a spear. The moment that the spear was supposed to hit him, he used void armor to become intangible and evade her attack. After jumping away, he used air cutter and fireball. The angel quickly evaded the first attack and cut through the second one, using her speed to catch up to the man. After landing, Naofumi quickly used stone wall to block Almiya, and after she backed away, he kicked the wall, sending it flying toward her. After dodging the wall, she looked where the man had stood before, but he vanished. As she looked around, she was suddenly hit in the back by the man using dark arrow. Since she became blind, she couldn't do anything, so the match was finished with Naofumi as the winner.
Naofumi: Your turn, Emitalia.
Emitalia: Let's get this over with.
After once again being informed to start, Naofumi quickly used his water armor and light spear to attack the devil. When he was about to hit her, she promptly took out her trident and blocked the spear. The man used this opportunity to kick her in the back of the knee, making her lose balance and fall to the floor. He then took hold of her weapon and threw it away. And with that, the fight was over.
Bravia: So, what do you think?
Naofumi: They are strong, I can see that. But they could use a little more training. If they're interested, I would like to invite them to my party.
Bravia: Girls, what do you say?
Almiya: Sure!
Emitalia: Yeah, whatever.
After that, they went to the guild, where they met up with the elf twins and formed a party. With his new companions, Naofumi decided to visit the dungeon. As they went in, the angel went in the front, the mage was second, following him were the elves, and as rear guard was the demon. While going through the floors, they got to know the new party additions. The angel went on a journey to see what other races' lives looked like, while the demon wanted to get stronger. Both of them were from the same city called Tenshima. It was a city to the north of Wael, the elven and dwarven city. The elven twins were surprised, since they often heard that angels and demons hated each other, but it turned out that the two girls were childhood friends. Their parents worked in the same place, and they lived close to one another, so they spent a lot of time together. They also barely came to Morimachi, so they didn't have anywhere to sleep. After hearing that, Naofumi proposed that all four of them move into his house and use it as a base of operation. They agreed that it would be a very good solution. The group got to the fifth floor, where there was a mini-boss to fight. As they went into the boss's room, the devil went into the front as an additional front guard. After the door to the room closed, they saw a giant rock turtle getting ready to attack them. As it smashed its foot into the ground, giant stone spikes started moving towards the adventurers. The mage quickly used stone wall to block the attack, allowing the fighters to run towards the enemy. Slashing at its front legs, the turtle let out a cry and created stone bullets to attack them both. The elves shoot arrows towards the turtle's eyes, distracting them and deactivating its spell. Naofumi used multi-cast and shot a powerful rain of fireballs, burning the turtle's right side. With the enemy almost dead, the angel pierced its head, finishing it off. After the fight, a door appeared, with a teleport circle letting the party go back to the exit. After selling all the loot they got in the guild, Naofumi took them to their new house. After they went inside, they met the tanuki siblings. After a quick introduction, Naofumi showed them some empty rooms they could use as their new bedrooms. The next day, they went into the guild's building to accept a new mission. When they were arguing about what to choose, a man suddenly ran into the building with a message in his hand.
Messenger: Everyone, this is a very important message! Every adventurer is to go towards the gates! This town is about to be attacked by a monster stampede!
Almiya: A stampede?
Cheva: It's when a giant group of monsters is summoned above a dungeon and attacks people. The number of monsters can even reach hundreds of thousands.
With that, the adventurers quickly gathered by the gates. Naofumi's party went to the gate near their house to make sure that it stays in one piece. As they were getting ready, Naofumi quickly went to the house and evacuated the tanuki girls. As they were leaving, Naofumi saw many enemies on his map. As the girls evacuated, he quickly activated water armor. The armor covered his whole body, creating a giant shuriken on his back. He tapped on his arms, creating a pair of kunais to fight the enemies. When the monsters came out of the party, he cast fire vortex onto one half and ran straight into the other half. As he was cutting down the monsters, an arrow was shot near him, destroying a monster that was about to hit him. When the man turned around, he saw that the rest of his party had come to fight with him in that location. The angel and the demon quickly joined in the close combat, while the elves were shooting at the monsters from a distance. The team was fighting them off when suddenly a cyclops appeared from the forest. The mage threw his shuriken onto the ground, and using it as a flying board, he flew towards the cyclops, aiming an attack at his eye. When he was about to strike it, the cyclops blocked it using a giant club. With a single strike, Naofumi cut through the weapon, slicing it in half and cutting off the cyclops' hand. As the cyclops howled in pain, he attacked it once again, cutting off its head. After the cyclops fell, there were only a couple of goblins left. They were quickly taken out, and with that, the team decided to check on the other gates. As they were going back to the city, a scream deep in the forest. The mage decided to go in there alone and told his party to help at the other gates. He ran toward the forest and used his enemy detection to see if there was another monster. As he checked his map, he saw a lesser dragon near him. He went where the dragon was supposed to be and saw it attacking a carriage. He quickly ran at it and, with a single strike, cut off its head. After that, he checked on the people in the carriage. Inside it was a group of four people: two maids, a wounded knight, and a woman in a fancy-looking dress. As he checked on the knight's wound, he saw it was possible to heal. Naofumi quickly used healing water to save the knight. The mage used the spell teleport to take the people to the city. He then went to the north gate to make sure it was alright. As he got there, he saw a group of goblins riding wolves towards the town. The adventurers were doing their best, but they were having some problems. As he got to the wall, he used multi-cast to shoot 20 fireballs. Almost half of them missed, but those that hit killed the monsters immediately. He quickly changed his armor from water to void and went into the field. As he got to the fight, he made a longsword and started slashing the monsters in half. While fighting, he noticed a golden armor-clad warrior using a double-edged sword to kill the monsters, and a goblin was about to attack him from the back. He quickly flew towards the goblin and cut off its head. The golden warrior was surprised by the sudden appearance of a shadow behind him and tripped over his own feet. The mage gave him his hand to help him get up, but the golden dragon slapped away his hand and got up by himself.
Warrior: I don't need your help, wierdo.
Naofumi: Okay, then good luck.
As Naofumi got away, a group of goblins suddenly appeared and attacked the warrior. He used his sword to behead them all, with one swing. The mage went to the town since all the monsters had been killed. He got to the guild, where he found the rest of his party. They went to Bravia and gave her all the monster cores they gathered from the fight. With the money they got, Naofumi sent them to buy food, tools, and some weapons and armor. He went to the blacksmith and asked about his sword and its sheath.
Blacksmith: It's finished. Here you go.
The sheath was made out of a powerful metal, which was boosted by a magic crystal at the top. With the sword recovered, he went to his house. When he got to his house, he decided to prepare a new skill and spell for the future
