Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Tournament

Ryū, I brought them. They're ready to go."

A group of teenage boys stood before leader, eyes filled with anticipation and uncertainty. Before they could process the moment, a wave of immense force crushed them to their knees. A person stood in the shadows, his gravity magic pressing down on the newcomers.

"Don't forget—we are Covenant of Eternia," Necros intoned. "And you kneel before Jack."

Jack sighed, shaking his head. "Enough, Necros. They are just kids."

He turned back to the group. "Listen carefully. We are an organization with one goal—to collect all the Magic Stones, open the Gate of Death, and free our lord, Erabus the Creator."

The boys exchanged glances, absorbing the magnitude of the revelation. Jack continued, introducing the key figures behind their mission:

(Narration: The Covenant of Eternia

a organisation and the members are(-Jack (Leader) Necros, Kuroyami Ryū, Riden, Akira, Zareth, Vaelrath.)

Jack laid out their next step. "Tomorrow is the S-Rank Tournament. Everyone—including the Holy Knights—will be preoccupied. That is our chance. Your mission is simple: steal the Main Core of the Academy—the Magic Stone."

Excitement and apprehension filled the room.

"It won't be long before guards arrive—three minutes at most," Jack continued. "The distraction gives us an advantage. But there's one problem—General Kael Draven."

A boy from the teenage group raised his hand hesitantly. "Is General Draven more of a threat than the First Elder?"*

Jack smirked. "The First Elder is just a guest. He won't interfere. Draven is the real danger. That's why Zareth and Vaelrath are going with you."

His gaze darkened. "If you have two paths—one blocked by 100+ Holy Knights, the other by Kael Draven—take the first path. Do not engage Draven. Understood?"*

The boys nodded in unison.

"Good," Jack said. "Now go. And don't fail."

---

Outside the Academy, Raven walked with purpose, searching for someone. His mind replayed a flashback—his arrival at the Academy and a conversation with an unknown woman.

"Long time no see, Second Elder."

The woman's expression was unreadable. "We need to talk."

Raven leaned against the wall. "First, tell me—did you ever get married?"

She exhaled softly. "No. But listen closely. *The First Elder—Azael—has been reborn."

Raven narrowed his eyes. "You can see the future. Tell me—who is he?"

She hesitated. "I can't. If I reveal his identity, the future may change—or be destroyed. Find him yourself."

Back in the present, Raven's search intensified. Then—his instincts flared. A powerful aura, reminiscent of the First Elder, filled the air. He turned, locking eyes with Zero.

"I found him," Raven thought, studying Zero. "Something is different. He's hiding something—but beneath it, there's a monster."

His thoughts were interrupted by Leo, who playfully slapped him on the back.

"Hey, kid. Lost? Need help finding your mom?"

Raven sighed. "Are you an idiot or just born yesterday?"

Leo laughed. "Look who's talking—you're the child."

Before Raven could retort, Master Lee arrived. To everyone's shock, he knelt.

"Lord Raven, welcome to the Academy."

Leo froze, dumbfounded. Raven ignored him, taking his seat.

"Lee," Raven asked, "Tell me about Zero."

Lee hesitated. "He's an orphan. His parents died when he was six or seven. He grew up in an orphanage and eventually arrived here."

Raven's expression hardened. *"No additional information?"*

Lee lowered his head. "Apologies, Lord Raven. We have none."

---

Meanwhile, within the Royal Palace, the Emperor reviewed intelligence. His butler entered, bowing.

"Lord Emperor, I have gathered information on Ardy."

The Emperor gestured for him to proceed.

"His father was a serial killer who abused his mother. One day, he murdered her. Ardy killed his father at age five and was imprisoned. After explaining his actions to the Holy Knights, he was absolved and rewarded for eliminating a criminal. He received financial support, education, and protection. Now, he is here."

The Emperor exhaled slowly. "Make sure Ruka never learns of this."

"Understood, sir."

---

At the Tournament Grounds, Ardy and his team—Akumo, Leo, and Eno—gathered.

Leo smirked, explaining the competition. "It's 1v1 matches. I gathered data on every competitor."*

Each fighter possessed formidable skills:

- Leo – Shadow magic, espionage specialist.

- Eno – Nature magic, capable of manipulating plants for healing and combat.

- Akumo*– A master of all elements and combat styles, wielding unmatched versatility.

Their opponents? First Princess Ruka's team:

- Ruka – Ice magic, empowered by the Ice Spirit Core gifted by the Emperor.

- Edward – Sword magic, able to conjure and manipulate any weapon.

- Sumi– Dream magic, trapping enemies in illusions.

- Zero – His abilities? Unknown.

As the tournament's no-kill rule was enforced, Ardy turned to Leo.

"Where's Oscar?"

"Master Lee sent him into the mountains for training," Leo replied.

The arena roared with anticipation.

The Tournament had begun.

Round 1: Eno vs. Sumi

The crowd roared as Eno and Sumi stepped into the ring.

Sumi wasted no time, activating her Dream Magic. She sent a wave of illusion energy toward Eno, but he swiftly dodged and countered with his Nature Magic. Razor-sharp tree roots erupted from the ground, lunging toward Sumi.

The attack was direct and effective—Sumi was quickly captured. Her teammates looked on in shock. Had she really lost this easily?

But Eno had underestimated her. Suddenly, Sumi smiled.

"This was part of my plan."

In an instant, Eno's body relaxed as Dream Magic took hold of him. His consciousness drifted, and he fell asleep—trapped in Sumi's endless dream world.

The host stepped forward. "Winner of the first match—Sumi! Team B earns 1 point!

Round 2: Leo vs. Sumi

Leo grinned, stepping onto the battlefield.

The moment the fight started, he wasted no time—vanishing into Sumi's shadow with his Shadow Magic. Within the darkness, he spotted sumi's underwear and burst into laughter.

Reforming his body, Leo summoned two massive shadow hands and grabbed Sumi. He began to squeeze her boobs and everyone gasped.

Raven sighed. "I knew he was a perv, but I wouldn't mind being in his place."

Master Lee shook his head. "That boy needs a lesson."

Leo smirked. "Give up, Sumi, or I'll get even wilder."

Sumi clenched her fists. "I won't surrender!"

Leo rolled his eyes. With one swift motion, he hurled Sumi out of the ring.

The crowd sat in stunned silence.

"Winner of the second match—Leo! Team A earns 1 point!

As Sumi stomped away, Eno punched Leo in the head. "Pervert! How dare you touch her like that?"

She activated her Nature Magic, vines wrapping around Leo aggressively. Akumo quickly stepped in.

"Not now, Eno. He still has fights ahead. You can punish him later."

Eno huffed but relented.

Round 3: Leo vs. Edward

Edward took the ring next, glaring at Leo with cold determination.

The moment the match began, he conjured a rope and bound Leo, then summoned countless sharp weapons, locking him in place.

He leaned close, whispering, "You disgust me, pervert. If this were a real match, I'd cut that part off. But for now, you're safe. Apologize to her."

Leo smirked but didn't respond. Instead, he dissolved into shadows, using Edward's own shadow against him to grab him.

Edward frowned. He knew he couldn't defeat Leo while shadows existed—but the battle was taking place under bright sunlight. That meant plenty of shadows.

He thought quickly and smirked.

"Hey Leo, look—a beautiful, hot girl!"

Leo turned instinctively, distracted just enough for Edward to grab him and toss him out of the ring.

"Winner—Edward! Team B earns 2 points!

Leo sighed in defeat. As per Edward's command, he begrudgingly walked over to Sumi. "Fine. I'm sorry."

Round 4: Edward vs. Akumo

Edward was a powerhouse, but he was up against Akumo—a master of all combat techniques.

The moment the match started, Edward conjured a storm of blades, flinging them toward Akumo.

Akumo simply opened a portal, redirecting every weapon back toward Edward.

Edward barely managed to summon a shield, saving himself. He then conjured a sword and charged at Akumo, engaging in rapid close combat.

Every strike Edward landed, Akumo countered.

Then Akumo smirked, opening a portal beneath Edward's feet.

Edward fell straight through, reappearing outside the ring.

"Winner—Akumo! Team A earns 2 points!

Round 5: Ruka vs. Akumo

Ruka wasted no time, freezing the entire ring the moment the match started.

But Akumo was prepared. He conjured multiple portals, escaping her ice magic instantly.

He then created a portal in front of him, tossing a water ball inside. The water emerged from every portal surrounding Ruka, hitting her repeatedly.

Ruka summoned an Ice Shield, but it wasn't enough. She built a massive ice wall, but Akumo used portal magic again—trapping her in an infinite portal loop.

She fell endlessly between the portals until Akumo sent her out of the ring.

"Winner—Akumo! Team A earns 3 points!**"*

Round 6: Akumo vs. Zero

Everyone fell silent except for Ardy.

Raven whispered, "Now this is the moment of truth… First Elder Azael—Zero."

The match began. In an instant, Zero *appeared next to Akumo—so fast that no one saw him move.

Except for Raven.

"I see him. He's holding back."

Zero punched Akumo, sending him flying out of the ring.

"Winner—Zero! Team B earns 3 points!

Final Round: Ardy vs. Zero

Ardy wasn't paying attention—his earpods drowned out the stadium noise.

Leo nudged him, snapping him out of it.

The arena fell into silence.

Raven whispered, "That boy… I forgot his name, but he doesn't stand a chance."

Zero moved in instantly, attempting to strike Ardy, but—

Ardy blocked it.

Everyone gasped.

"What?! How is that possible?" Raven's eyes widened.

Akumo, however, simply smiled. *"I knew it. Ardy was hiding his strength. Now I get to witness two beasts fight."

Zero smirked. "He blocked my punch… He's strong. I thought only elders could entertain me, but now… I won't hold back.

The two clashed in rapid combat, exchanging blows at such speed that only Raven could see their movements.

Meanwhile, Zareth, Vaelrath, and the teenage group infiltrated the Academy, locating the Magic Stone in the central chamber.

As Zero and Ardy fought at incredible speeds, the Magic Stone was stolen.

Instantly, the Academy's power shut down.

Ardy sensed it—but his distraction cost him.

Zero landed a decisive punch, knocking Ardy out of the ring.

"Winner—Zero! Team B earns victory!

Akumo helped Ardy up. *"Good fight."*

But Ardy ignored him, grabbed his phone, and started watching anime.

Meanwhile, General Kael Draven slaughtered the teenage group mercilessly.

He approached *Zareth, blood dripping from his hands.

*"Remember your loved ones."*

"We don't have any," Zareth replied.

Kael swung his blade—Zareth was dead.

Back at the Covenant, Ryū reported everything to Jack.

Jack's face darkened. "They died because of us."

Necros warned him, "If we reveal ourselves, we lose everything. We need all three stones—a war now would ruin everything."

Jack clenched his fists.

"We fight for a world without racism and discrimination—a world of love and peace. But they died because of us."

Jack turned toward his team.

"Will you fight with me?"

Necros smirked. "I just want to kill strong people."

Ryū nodded. "If you go, we go."

Jack looked toward the capital city

"Wait for us—we're coming."
