The Orc stared at the words and numbers, slightly confused. He could recognize the word "Mark." He could understand "Affection." But "Mark of Affection" was harder to grasp.
'My mind can recognize words and their meanings, but some concepts are out of my reach. Combinations of words I might not fully understand.' The Orc thought to himself, nodding. 'System, can you explain what Skills are?'
[Skills are certain actions and abilities that can be triggered by thought at the cost of Endurance Points or Mana Points.]
'I see. Can you explain what these Skills do then?'

'Alright…' The virgin thought with a raised eyebrow. 'I suppose that's good. Though it doesn't really help my situation…'
He was an Orc weaker than any other in the middle of a dangerous forest! Coming back now to the other Orcs would surely lead to him getting beaten up for having taken too long! Plus, who knew where that Twin-Tailed Scorpion was lurking now! The creature was two meters long, and its tails were twice that!
The System went on to explain the next Skill.

The Orc stopped reading the System messages and, instead, lowered his gaze towards the piece of cloth hiding his privates.
'Now that I think about it… It does feel a lot tighter.'
One might think that a mindless species like Orcs wouldn't worry about or be aware of their own nudity and, therefore, would not use something like a piece of cloth to hide their privates.
This would be true, were it not for the fact that their members were massive and that running while having them flailing around was not only uncomfortable and annoying, but it could also be dangerous, especially when roaming around a forest filled with vines and thorns.
'...' The Orc kept staring at his bulge before shaking his head. 'Now isn't the time to worry about this.'

The Orc stared at that sentence for a bit.
Complex emotions he was not used to feeling echoed in his heart.

Never in his life had he been asked something like that. Or rather, never in his life had he been given the right to choose whether or not to do something. Everything was an order. An order that must be obeyed, his life hanging in the balance.
Being given the right to choose for the first time was an incredibly nice feeling.
A feeling that the Orc wasn't ready to let go of.
'What if I don't want to follow the Quests at some point? What if I don't want to do certain Quests?'

The promise of getting to kill one of those assholes… Was even better.
