Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – Two Worlds, One Man

Rikuto stood by the window, shirtless, watching the quiet street outside. The warmth of Reina's presence still lingered in the apartment — in the soft scent she left behind, in the faint heat on his skin where she'd clung to him in the shower, in the taste of her breathless moans echoing in his mind.

His phone buzzed.

It was a simple text from Aya:

> "I'll be home in 30. Do you need anything from the bakery?"

Rikuto smiled faintly.

She had no idea how different things had become in her absence.

He typed a quick reply:

> "No, all good. Come safe."

Then, finally, he turned back to the system notification he had ignored earlier.

He let out a low whistle.

₲30,000 and now a steady income on the side? He hadn't even visited that agency once — but it was making money while he slept.

Literally.

"Not bad," he muttered.

But as tempting as the rewards were, something else was changing — something within. It wasn't just about lust or power anymore. Reina's surrender had been more than physical. There was emotion in it. Willingness. Trust.

That made things feel different.

He walked into the bathroom again, where steam still clung to the mirrors. Their clothes from earlier were tossed lazily over the hamper. He picked up Reina's blouse—still faintly warm—and smiled.

There was something intimate about the silence after pleasure. No guilt. No apologies. Just acceptance.

But now, things were shifting again.

Aya was returning.

He needed to switch gears—not to hide anything, but to recalibrate. Reina had accepted her role. There was no mess to clean up. No drama. But his life now had multiple layers, and he had to be smarter.

---

By the time Aya stepped through the front door, Rikuto had finished straightening the apartment. A soft jazz tune played in the background, and the scent of coffee lingered faintly in the air.

She entered with a smile, her cheeks a little flushed from the sun.

"I brought some honey rolls," she said, lifting the small paper bag in her hand.

Rikuto smiled, walking over to take it from her. "You spoil me."

Aya giggled, slipping off her shoes. "You say that like it's a bad thing."

He brushed his fingers along hers as he took the bag. Her eyes flicked up to meet his — soft, genuine, trusting.

The contrast between her innocence and Reina's burning desire felt surreal.

Aya moved past him, her small footsteps echoing lightly on the floor.

She still didn't know what kind of man he was becoming.

And he wasn't sure if she ever should.

---

That night, Rikuto lay on his bed alone — not because he felt lonely, but because he needed to think. Reina's surrender had awakened something in him. A side of him that was powerful, focused, almost dangerous.

But with Aya sleeping just a few feet away, he also felt grounded.

Two women.

Two roles.

Two paths unfolding before him.

He reached out to the system mentally.

"Any new quests?"

> [No active quests at this time.]

Tip: The world reacts to your intent. Keep moving forward… and opportunities will follow.

He smirked. "Fair enough."

But deep down, he knew something else was coming. Reina wasn't done. And Aya… she had her own arc to live through.

For now, though, he allowed himself a rare moment of peace.

His life was no longer ordinary.

And it would never be again.
