Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Discussion

As the morning light crept into the room, Jungkook slowly opened his eyes, his gaze falling upon Taehyung's peaceful face. He was lying on his side, his head resting on Taehyung's chest, and Taehyung's arm was wrapped around him, holding him close. Jungkook's eyes widened as he realized he had fallen asleep with Taehyung. He lay there for a moment, taking in the warmth and closeness of their bodies.

As he gazed at Taehyung's face, Jungkook felt a strange sensation in his chest. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, a feeling that made his heart skip a beat. For the first time in his life, Jungkook understood what it meant to like someone.

He had always been the one to pursue, to chase, but never to feel this way. As he looked at Taehyung, he felt a sense of vulnerability, a sense of exposure.

Jungkook's eyes lingered on Taehyung's features, taking in the gentle curve of his lips, the softness of his skin, and the peaceful expression on his face. He felt a pang of tenderness, a desire to protect and care for this person. Jungkook's heart swelled with emotion, and he knew that he couldn't deny his feelings any longer. He was falling for Taehyung, and it felt both exhilarating and terrifying.

As Taehyung stirred, Jungkook held his breath, unsure of what the future held, but knowing that everything had changed.

As Jungkook snuggled closer to Taehyung, he felt a sense of contentment wash over him. Taehyung, still half asleep, wrapped his arms around Jungkook, holding him tight. The warmth of their bodies mingled, and Jungkook could feel Taehyung's heartbeat against his chest.

"Good morning," Taehyung murmured, his voice husky from sleep.

Jungkook smiled, his lips brushing against Taehyung's neck. "Good morning," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

The two of them lay there for a moment, enjoying the quiet intimacy of the morning. Jungkook felt a sense of peace he hadn't experienced in a long time, and he knew that this was what he wanted – to be with Taehyung, to wake up beside him, and to explore the possibilities of their relationship.

As they lay there, Jungkook's thoughts turned to the contract they had made. He wondered if Taehyung felt the same way about him, or if this was just a convenient arrangement for both of them. But for now, he pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the moment, savoring the warmth and closeness of their bodies.

"Let's get up," Taehyung said finally, his voice a little stronger now. "We don't want to be late for our schedule."

Jungkook nodded, reluctantly pulling away from Taehyung's warmth. "Yeah, you're right," he said, sitting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

As they got out of bed, Jungkook couldn't help but steal glances at Taehyung, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation for what the day might bring.

Jungkook went back to his room and took a shower and went to the cafeteria.

Jungkook and Taehyung came at the same time at the Cafeteria for breakfast at the VIP section only for the council members, they were greeted by. Jimin, RM, J-Hope, Jin, and Suga were already seated, engaged in conversation. Jungkook's eyes met theirs, and he exchanged nods and smiles with the group.

RM, ever the charismatic leader, stood up to greet them. "Ah, Taehyung, Jungkook, good morning. Sleep well?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with interest.

Taehyung replied by. "Good morning, RM. Yes, slept well, thanks."

Jungkook followed suit, exchanging greetings with the others. J-Hope clapped him on the back, saying, "Jungkook you look happy today did you enjoy sleeping with Taehyung that much?"said with a smik

Jungkook smiled, adding, "Yeah'

Suga raised an eyebrow, "Alright that's enough we can't waste more time."Everybody became serious and the room went silence.

RM leaned forward, his eyes scanning the room. "Alright, let's start the discussion We've caught Kaito, but something is definitely not right." He paused, his gaze lingering on Jungkook for a moment before moving on. "And we've also received that message from the unknown number claiming Jungkook is working with Kaito. We've tried to investigate the number, but it seems to be a dead end. We initially thought it was just a ruse to throw us off, but now I'm not so sure."

Jin nodded thoughtfully. "We've been over the message, and it does seem like a clever attempt to sow discord. But given the circumstances, we need to reconsider. What if there's more to it than we think?"

J-Hope frowned. "But what could Kaito's motives be? And why would Jungkook be involved with him?"

Suga's s eyes narrowed. "That's what we need to figure out. We can't just dismiss the possibility without looking into it further."

Jimin leaned forward, his voice measured. "Let's hear from Jungkook himself. Do you know anything about Kaito's plans or motivations?"

The room fell silent, awaiting Jungkook's response. Taehyung's gaze was fixed on him, his expression unreadable. Jungkook's eyes met Taehyung's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.

Jungkook's words hung in the air, his confusion evident. "I don't know anything about Kaito's plans or why he's making these claims. But I am curious – how did Kaito even know about my involvement with the Shadows?" He glanced at RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, and Taehyung, his eyes seeking answers.

RM's expression turned thoughtful. "That's a good question. We've been careful to keep our operations under wraps. It's possible Kaito had inside help or surveillance."

Suga nodded. "We'll need to review our security protocols and see if there's a leak somewhere."

Taehyung's eyes narrowed. "I'll look into it. See if I can find any connections between Kaito's people and ours."

J-Hope leaned forward. "And what about Kaito himself? What did he say when you interrogated him?"

Jin's face was grim. "Not much, unfortunately. He's been tight-lipped about his motives and who's backing him."

The room fell silent, each member lost in thought as they pondered the implications of Kaito's claims and the potential security breach. Jungkook's eyes met Taehyung's, and for a moment, they just looked at each other, the tension between them palpable.
