Chapter 12 - Chapter 12:Ascent High Tier Rank 1 God(Part 1)

As the final ripple of emerald light faded as the divine soil fully fused into the land near the riverbank. The air shimmered faintly, vibrant life pulsing through the transformed ground.

Clark stood quietly, observing his handiwork. The once dull patch of land now radiated a subtle divine aura.

He mentally marked the location before turning back toward the main town. The Holy Sanctuary was slowly starting to show signs of bustling life. Smoke from chimneys curled into the morning sky as villagers carried crates, tools, and supplies to the storehouses.

Seraphiel and Lilith were waiting for him near the palace entrance.

"Seraphiel," Clark spoke calmly. "Continue leading the Crusaders in the exploration beyond the mist. Focus on mapping the area. Avoid unnecessary risks."

"Understood." She gave a slight bow.

"Lilith, once the Crusaders return, help with processing the resources and maintain inventory."

Lilith bowed as well, her expression composed.

Clark glanced at them both and with a simple gesture summoned the Space Pocket Interface.

A transparent glowing disk materialized in front of him.

"[Assign Management Access: Space Pocket]"

[Access Granted: Seraphiel, Lilith]

The space pocket was far more advanced than ordinary storage items. A fully portable dimensional warehouse with vast capacity that could be summoned instantly. It eliminated the need for any storage rings or bags for his forces. Seraphiel and the Crusaders could now directly deposit loot after each scouting operation, while Lilith would manage and catalogue all stored resources.

"From now on, you won't need to carry anything physical. All collected resources will go directly into the Space Pocket. Lilith, you'll manage it remotely."

"Understood, my Lord," Lilith replied. "This will greatly improve efficiency."

"Leave no materials wasted, even the monster cores. We'll refine them into divine crystals."

With his orders given, both heroes departed to their tasks.

Clark slowly entered the palace alone.

Inside the calm of his private chamber, he exhaled and finally opened his Personal Status Panel.

The wave of energy slowly settled into him. But the power still burned within his divine core.

His finger hovered only briefly over the next button.

Without hesitation, Clark confirmed.

This time, the palace trembled more violently. Even outside, some villagers turned their heads toward the divine beacon erupting from the palace roof. A pure column of golden light surged toward the heavens as Clark's divine essence underwent its second transformation.

[Rank Advancement Successful]

New Rank: Rank 1 – High Tier God

The system panels updated rapidly.

Clark let out a slow breath as the energy fully stabilized. He could feel it clearly — a weight to his presence that hadn't existed before. The very atmosphere bent slightly to his will.

He summoned the interface — the Ascension Requirements panel for Rank 2 Godhood.

[Ascension Requirements — Rank 2 God]

God Rank: 1 (High Tier) ✔

Divinity Required: 2,000

Territory Level: Rank 2

Followers: Minimum 500

Divine Authority: Requires at least 2 Skill -(learnt 0)

Clark quietly reviewed the conditions. Even with his current advantages, the road ahead remained steep. Faith generation was beginning to accumulate, but compared to the amount needed for Rank 2, it was still a drop in the ocean. The major limiting factor wasn't just divinity—but also Followers , a qualitative leap that would require items or opportunities that could not simply be purchased or farmed easily.

He exhaled softly, shifting his gaze out toward the peaceful Holy Sanctuary below. Smoke curled gently into the air as villagers prepared meals, Crusaders patrolled the misty borders, and Lilith coordinated supply lines while overseeing construction assignments.

Compared to this stability, the world outside was drowning in chaos.

"Most of them haven't even fed their followers properly yet."

Clark recalled the desperate cries echoing from the Global Chat just last night. Many gods were still living in their Tier 0 palaces — cramped rooms without even basic sleeping quarters. Their followers slept on cold stone floors, exposed to the cold of night. Without food or clean water, starvation loomed for many domains. The weekly summoning limitation suffocated their growth, while dwindling beginner resources left most gods trapped, unable to expand or defend themselves.

And yet, while others still struggled with survival, he was already looking far ahead — planning for Rank 2 Godhood.

After studying the requirements for Rank 2, Clark closed the ascension panel, but a small tinge of disappointment lingered. The system had granted him generous rewards when first arriving and even for building his first town, but ascension to Rank 1 High Tier offered no additional chests or bonuses.

The climb was becoming lonelier.

"No more easy rewards," he thought. "From here on, every advantage must be seized deliberately."

Shaking the thought away, Clark shifted his focus to what mattered now — power.

With a flick of his hand, he summoned the Special Trade Area interface. This section refreshed daily, but very few gods even bothered to check it, since most items here were out of reach for them. Only divinity could be used here, and most lords were scraping by with barely enough to sustain their expansion.

The list loaded slowly before his eyes.

[Special Trade Area – Divine Skills Available Today]

Restoration (Healing - Single/Area Effect) — Cost: 4000 Divinity

Thunder Judgment (Destructive Lightning Strike) — Cost: 5000 Divinity

Spear Judgment (Piercing Divine Spear AOE) — Cost: 5000 Divinity

Divine Flame (Burning Holy Fire - Continuous Damage) — Cost: 5000 Divinity

Starfall (Celestial AOE Bombardment) — Cost: 5000 Divinity

Purification (Cleanse Debuffs, Curses, Corruption) — Cost: 4000 Divinity

Divine Seal (Control-Type, Seals Skills or Movement) — Cost: 6000 Divinity

Skill Deletion Card — Cost: 5000 Divinity

Faith Amplification Crystal (+5% Faith Output) — Cost: 3000 Divinity

Hero Advancement Token (Promote Hero One Rank) — Cost: 8000 Divinity

Clark's eyes calmly scanned the selection. Unlike the majority of gods who were busy purchasing Normal Skills — things like Fireball, Basic Heal, or Weapon Mastery — Clark had no intention of wasting his precious skill slots on such trivial abilities.

The Divine Skills were the only ones worthy of his godhood. Powerful, unique, and irreversible once learned.

He was fully aware of how dangerous it would be to make the wrong choice. Once a skill occupied a slot, it could not be removed without a Skill Deletion Card, which itself cost a painful 5000 Divinity — a price most gods couldn't even dream of affording.

Before making any decisions, Clark opened the Global Chat, curious to see how his peers were managing. As expected, chaos reigned.

[Global Chat Opened]

Skyfire Monarch: My followers' loyalty dropped again! If it goes any lower, they'll start rebelling!

Stone Flame Lord: I had to spend nearly all my crystals just to buy normal skills to keep them motivated.

Night Wolf Sovereign: These weekly summon limits are ridiculous. My followers are starving.

Lone Hammer Titan: Can anyone trade food for iron ore? My people are about to turn against me!

Crimson Dawn Oracle: How are we supposed to level up without faith generation?

Emerald Sea Priestess: This world is pure hell. My whole domain is falling apart.

He closed the global chat and looked at his resources --especially divinity which was only 9450 . He wanted to buy everything in the special area but he was 'poor'...according to him...

Clark studied the list, weighing his limited divinity carefully.

"With only 9450 divinity remaining, I can afford exactly two."

Restoration was non-negotiable. No matter how strong his army became, the ability to sustain them during prolonged battles would be invaluable.

For the second, his gaze lingered briefly on Thunder Judgment, but ultimately shifted toward Starfall. Its area bombardment would give him absolute dominance in large-scale engagements — a weapon that could wipe out hordes of enemies from the battlefield in moments.

Without hesitation, he confirmed his selections.
